"Valt only lost because he didn't have quaddrive"

That's isn't a justifiable reason for valt to lose to bell. Valt has seen how bell battle even after he upraged his bey he still got beaten by bell and phenomeno multiple times in a underwhealming way that does not solidify his spot as the best overall.

"he was undefeated, so he was the best."

No he isn't, bell hasn't even beat valt yet post ultimate and with valt trashing on rashad the gap becomes more apparennt

Okay, what I meant by he's the best is he's the best to him. He doesn't really care. Also, I know it's not really a good reason, but that kind of plot armor is commonplace in the world of beyblade.

Bel wasn't undefeated. He lost a number of times. Valt thrashed him in their last battle. Then he thrashed Rashad 3-0 later in the season. Valt was clearly stronger than both of them. Best in the world.
No, he is the best, he just needed an upgrade. This was already pretty much how beyblade works. Satomb almost breaks victory. Genesis wins by a lot. This is the same idea, but this time it's quaddrive.

Thats barely an excuse. Even after beating rashad bell still wants to beat valt if bell is truly believe hes the best he wouldn't even care to beat valt

"Also, I know it's not really a good reason, but that kind of plot armor is commonplace in the world of beyblade."

Thats literally the whole point of my previous post smh.

Bell thinks he's the best early on at least. "I didn't lose,  I was only preparing for victory. " also happened.

Valt absolutely is the best. He absolutely wrecked Bel in their last battle and he smoked Rashad with a 3-0 victory. Valt was clearly stronger than them. Ultimate doesn't even use the overdrive system and Valt still whipped the floor with both of them. Using that upgrade analogy simply doesn't work. Valt is the best blader in the world.

Especially earlier in DB Valt defeated bell a good couple times using brave before having to evolve to savior. Bell has constantly acknowledged Valt's strength. Even against rashad Valt with savior was on the verge of defeating raphael with a possible 0-2/3 while later smoking it from the 'heavens' 3-0 with ultimate. While belial with and without the gears has trouble winning 1-2.
Also:
Valt defeated lane with a limit break bey, sisco was on the verge of beating valt and would have won if it wasn't a title match with 2-1, and basara and rashad who both defeated upgraded belial’s, and kitt who defeated aiga

Doesn't ultimate have quaddrive? I believe ultimate  valkyrie uses the dynamite battle system.

Well yes it is a db (quaddrive) bey but not an overdrive bey. Kinda like limit break or the cho z awakening beys. Greatest and dangerous were overdrive beys ultimate was not.
I wonder if there is any pre set rules of beyblade creation. I mean we've got copying, we've got burst stoppers, we've even got a motor powered beyblade. If these things are legal why doesn't everybody use them?
Btw Is Rantaro still a legendary blader? Ik he lost his rank in sparking but i heard some say that DB stated that he was still indeed a legend through certain lines relating to Ranzo or with ranzo’s relationship with Rantaro.

He's still a Legend. It was mentioned in Ranzo's DB bio. Also Rantaro didn't lose his status as a legend in the anime.

But wouldnt him losing his rank no longer make him a legend? Or is this a hyuga situation where they create a ranking that fits him. The rankings are confusing but Im just happy rantaro is still considered a legend.

Sorry if im asking too much but so in the anime he never lost his status but in the manga he did originally but was/is still called a legend after that?

In the anime he never lost his status and ranking because neither Lain nor the Bros became Legends in the anime. They only became Legends in the manga.

Ah i see so so rantaro kept his status in the anime. But lost it in the manga, so hes no longer considered a legend in terms of the manga? Unless he kept the status but not the rank like god dragruler said but still thanks for the explanation.

He also kept his legendary status an the manga its not different from the anime. They only difference is the #15 he has an the manga was lost cause of Lane. His like both the asahi Bros the got the legend status without being top 15. From understanding you don't lose the legend status even if your not top 15

Even this changed in the manga because Shu reclaimed his #2 position and Lain fell out of the Legend ranking so Rantaro is still #15 in the manga.

Rantaro is a Legend in both the manga and the anime. He's ranked #15. There was a brief disruption when Lain joined which likely resulted in Rantaro being pushed down to #16 (though I don't remember a direct panel showing this) This didn't remain the case because Lain ended up falling out of the rankings after Shu defeated him and reclaimed his #2 spot.

At the end of sparking, the ranking is this

1. Valt Aoi
2. Shu Kurenai
3. Aiger Akabane
4. Free De La Hoya
5. Lui Shirosagi
6. Dante Koryu
7. Phi
8. Gwyn Reynolds
9. Delta Zakuro
10. Xander Shakadera
11. Silas Karlise
12. Zac Kaneguro
13. Wakiya Murasaki
14. Daigo Kurogami
15. Rantaro Kiyama
16. Hikaru Hizashi
17. Hyuga Hizashi

That should hopefully answer all of your questions.

DB has no ranking. It was avoid for some reason we just know Rashad somehow and someway became #1 blader an the World but not mention of the full ranking, but shu, lui and free are still clasify as legendary bladers. If the drop one rank is still valid the ranking is still the same with just Rashad in it. The rest like ranzo, basara or Bell never battle for ranking or official Match Rashad was the only one competing at high level. The legend status seems to be given depending on feats and accomplishments, Rashad probaly dont have that status cause he hasnt achieve it yet. So nothing really change by narrative Rashad would be 2nd but i doubt he would their if the other 3 take actions an battle him their strength isnt inferrior to Valt at all an Valt can beat Rashad so.... At best Rashad would top 5 without narrative

Thank you for the explanation. The rankings have always kinda been confusing mainly in the terms of the manga. I also agree with that part to an extent. Hikaru said something about how all legends arent just legends off of pure strength alone but the things they accomplished as well (i think). I think i got a clear understanding to an extent i thought the reasons they were called legends was because of the…well… legend ranking but its also because of the things they accomplished. But im just happy rantaro is still officially a legendary blader (like u said before?) like the other legends and that both the Anime and Manga ultimately ends with Valt standing as the worlds top blader, the “legend of legends”- the no.1 ranked and strongest blader in the world.

Edit: i might do some research and make a ranking list for after DB.

Yea hikaru explanation is correct. Theirs also a panel that explain what makes them a legend, dont remember which one (its been a while Haha), but the ranking is S-tier the highest any blader can reach.  The legend status though is earn because of their big achievement as bladers thats how you get the legend status, thats why neither Lane or Rashad was called Legends despite being S-tier Ranking. They asahi bros got special treatment. So the ranking is based on points but only few has manage to even get close to the Legends which is consistant as only 3 bladers crack the top 15 which are Lane and Rashad and the asahi bros are comperable but since the never had the amount of points the didn’t make the cut but was granted the legend status. As for a db Ranking just take the Sparking Ranking an put Rashad #2 while the rest stays the same. Bell, basara or ranzo cant be their cause they never did Ranking match. An here you got they Ranking the ranking looks confusing cause of Lane but it really isnt when you analyze it you get it once a legend always a legend no matter if your top 15 or not cause occamplishmemt and achievement stays you can be S-tier but it doesnt automatically means you get the legend status yet. hope you got a better understanding Now
