Random Beyblade Anime and Manga Thoughts

1 Delta never was a part of Victories as Gwyn. They just helped, but Delta trains to battle again with Dante.
2 Well Lean is in Raging Bulls. And in Sparking it's OP because of plot armour
honestly shu does it all the time https://imgflip.com/i/5b6zss

Did anybody get the feeling or thought that the Asahi Brothers might be part Italian? I'm asking this because their parents own an Italian restaurant which could relate to their ethnic background. I was thinking that maybe one of the Asahi brothers' parents or grandparents is part or fully Italian.  And not only that, I also imagine that Hyuga and Hikaru would be on Team Italy instead of Team Japan if there was another World League.
Beyblade needs to go back to having multiple Openings. It would work very well and help them feel less stale. Also Burst needs longer Openings but that's another issue entirely. I can even list how long each should run for. I feel like some arcs are so major a simple visual change doesn't really capture the intensity.

Burst
Opening 1: District - Regional Tournament
Opening 2: Nationals - End

Burst God
Opening 1: BC Sol - World League
Opening 2: God Bladers Cup - End

Burst Chouzetsu
Opening 1: Beigoma Academy - Battleship Cruise
Opening 2: Dead Gran - Phi Battles

Burst Gachi
Opening 1: Victories - Battle Journey
Opening 2: HELL - Tag Team Battle

Burst Sparking
Opening 1: Legendary Bladers - Legend Festival
Opening 2: Limit Break -Legend Super Tag League
Does anybody feel like the Burst anime is lacking Op and strong Stamina -type beys? I mean like Burst only had Op and strong beys that are Attack (Valkyrie, Xcalibur, Longinus, Hyperion, Dragon, Apcolyapse, and Belial), Balance (Spriggan, Achilles, Hades, Diabolos, and Helios),  and Defense (Bahamut, Satan, Phoenix, Genesis, and Lucifer). And the only Op or strong Stamina-type beys there are in Burst are Fafnir and Ragnaruk while Metal Fight had a good number of them (Ex: Hades Kerbecs, Phantom Orion, Scythe Chronos, Flash Sagittaro, Flame Libra, and Berserker Behemoth).

Shoot, I even want an antagonist in Burst to use an Op Stamina-type bey like Kira or Damian.
Daigo Kurogami: Character Arc Breakdown: The Loud Whisper of Guilt

Time for another character arc breakdown. I did Silas last time, this time around I'm tackling Daigo.

Outside of Japan Daigo doesn't seem to be much of a fan favorite, which is a shame because he's another example of the excellent character work Burst has employed.

Initially an antagonist to his future teammate Valt, in short order after his loss to Valt, Daigo joined the bey club and befriended the members of the team.

[Image: 62c6784743b0abd9b13138cb35766ff5c3681e04.gifv]

After some time, it became apparent to Daigo in the face of Valt's growing skill and power, that he was falling behind. This led him to make a choice the he never envisioned himself making; he cheated.

[Image: 83546d156e6b5e3f98261715668d81d279d0281b...180_hq.gif]

The normally cool under pressure blader let the pressure to succeed as a blader, lead him to this choice. We see Daigo struggle with the guilt of his decision. As a result of this guilt he began to distance himself from his friends. He experienced constant flashbacks to the choice. Due to the shame of his mistake, after trying to make things right by seeing to it the blader he cheated would take his place in the tournament, he quit the Bey Club and was going to give up on blading all together.

[Image: 72a5dac21f1a02f1210981c92840c3c605b4d326...225_hq.gif]

It wasn't till he was reminded of his brother and the joy he got from blading with his friends in the bey club, specifically Valt, that he decided not to give up. With Valt's forgiveness and him forgiving himself, he eventually was able to put the shame and guilt of his mistake behind him and move forward as a blader.

[Image: f0506bd353c32e49c2a4b2b477f15aec0bb3b0a2_00.gif]

During the events of Season 2 we see how much Daigo appreciates that Valt didn't give up on him despite his mistakes. He's resolved to never make that mistake again. He thought he was ruined as blader, but it was because of his friends that he was able to move forward and eventually start blading on the world stage.

Daigo's character arc was among the many highlights of Season 1&2 and is a prime example of Burst's excellent character work. This is one of many wonderfully relatable character arcs Burst has employed. Many people can relate to what's it's like to make a serious mistake and struggle with the guilt of what you've done, the decision playing on a loop. This arc illustrates that we can come back from a wrong choice. Daigo is one of my favorite characters in the entire franchise and watching his journey was one of the many highlights of Burst.
Wait, people not like Daigo outside of Japan? Thats pretty surprising to me — I know plenty of people who enjoy him, myself included. Though Ill be quite fair, its because the western world tends to be drawn towards an “edgy” archetype — most people find appeal in him because he seems evil and aligned with the darkness. But that’s one thing I like about Daigo, actually; he is designed to look evil but he is actually and overall a good guy

Aside from that, hes one of my favorite characters in Burst for the reasons you mentioned above. I felt that Daigo made season one enjoyable to me alongside the rest of Valt’s friends. He learns from his mistakes and he is the group’s voice of reason, which is pretty cool and realistic in this hectic world we live in Smile

I'm pretty much going off the popularity polls I've seen. He was #5 in the Japanese one but on the lower end outside. He's not disliked but he doesn't rank highly for some reason. I Love the character. One of my favorites.

It really sucks that amazing characters with equally amazing journeys like Silas and Daigo are always getting outshined by the overrated characters that are defined by all those overused tropes and characteristics with not nearly as much development or depth as the aforementioned characters like Free (prior to DB IMO) and Phi etc. Of course, that's just my opinion and some people may disagree with the examples I gave, but the fact that certain characters have their qualities highballed beyond belief is something we can all agree on. @XSabxManiacX had a very good point in mentioning that the western world tends to prefer the edgy characters but I would like to think that this applies to most of the general burst fanbase. A lot of it has to do with the edgy characteristics of savant, dominant characters appealing much better to the viewers of burst (which makes sense since it is a show about spinning tops that crash into each other, explode and all that aura stuff) so as a result, they tend to look past the more qualitative characteristics/moments in favour of something like Shu with his glowing scar or Free with his ¨silent killer¨ persona.
In your opinion who had the best English theme and opening

I agree with you for the most part. Especially with regards to Phi. He doesn't have nearly the depth that characters like Daigo and Silas do and it just a shame that they don't get the reception they deserve. I can think of quite a few more that are really well written characters with acutal journeys both within and without, just as good or better than some of more favored characters. Ken for example had a great arc. I'll probably do my next arc breakdown about him. I also think that when some say that Burst has no character development they fail to realize these gems of characters exist. That's partially why I do these breakdowns, to highlight these excellent characters and the great writing that went into them.

Burst is really lacking in the stamina type department as of recently, as the only two main stamina type releases in Sparking were Ragnurak and Fafnir. Heck, we haven't gotten a new stamina type motif in the ANIME since Air Knight. Irl, ig Poison Hydra may have been intended to be a stamina type, but the recommended combo (with Bullet) makes it a balance type. Absolutely wack. Even tho stamina types may not be that exciting, I hope someone like Rashad or maybe that cat themed character brings a new one to the game.
Ngl I don't see Cat Person getting a stamina Bey, and if Rashad ever switches from Valkyrie (which of course he will) I'm guessing he'll pick a Defense type as it's 'superior' to Attack. If we get another character that doesn't appear on the posters for either the anime or the manga, though, I'd love for it to be a Stamina user.

"The defence is the best attack" a random guy.

Anyway, I guess stamina is hard to play with because: it's a "glass cannon", has a lot of...well, stamina but lacks on burst resistance (at least that's the concept). It's hard to make something new to the old -last longer- idea.
Take for instance attack type: you can add rubber, edgy blades, speed, etc.
Defense: well, you get rounder, fatter, heavier...easy to do
And then stamina: you can't make it faster or it will start attacking, if it's heavier it will sit on the middle and it busrt resistance will drop from the altitude that it still has,
they tried using wind and ended up on air Knight.
hasbro tried increasing burst resistance and ended up with the monstruosity that is airKnight A5, an OP bey (from what ive seen and tested, it wins against all my beys on a 90% rate (on the low-end(stock combo)(it's round and has valor))(not that op bit really good)
Admiral W could you do a breakdown on a non Burst character? I like your Daina one.
To be honest on leaked post, Valkyrie is very different from lighted up version. It's like Wining
I may not be much of an Aiger fan but this is some beautiful art of him and Achilles.

So Valkyrie comes with a launcher and releases in july? Guess that confirms Valt is the mid season boss/antagonist of DB.

I would say antihero. Since Valt is for good while Bell is demon lord. Valkyrie come with launcher and V gear that is made from metal. Also design is very nice, it's of course similar to Belial but it's nice. Chip design is also great.

Lower Bahamut Giga Moment -10
I hope DB's tournament is as good as the Legends Festival.
When the heck will the DB plot take a massive turn? I mean, not saying I really dislike what's happened so far, but this challenge to the world is kinda meh atm.
