Random Beyblade Anime and Manga Thoughts

this has has nothing to do with anything just found this image and thought it was nice so I'm using it as my pfp.
All in all Burst takes the time to explore many of their characters and grow them through definite, relatable arcs across the season (Valt, Shu, Wakiya, Daigo, Silas, Ken, Free) Which is something we don't see much of in MFB. They also employ a plethora of mini arcs for a number of background characters (Naoki, Rixon, Shasa etc) Again I can't speak to OG since I haven't seen it.
You know valt and shu have been friends there were in kindergarten but I wonder how long Xander and shu have been friends cause they could have been friends longer

Nah it seems like they all met at the same time.

I'll give you that point about revenge. The difference is, Valt's struggle and journey was over the course of the season which made it more substantial. Adds more weight to it. That's a common narrative tool when crafting arcs, to see the growth and change in a character over the course of the season.

That was a mini arc. Which Burst has plenty of. Rixon, and Naoki for example. Gingka didn't grow much.
Gingka had multiple journeys. First was having trouble when he was going to beat Ryuga, then when he was the only one that didn’t qualify for battle bladers, then wanting revenge, and then the final battle.

Most of those aren't character arcs. Which is what I'm specifically talking about. I'm not saying Gingka didn't do things in the plot.
Random Thought: I miss when Bladers used more than one shoot form throughout the show. Burst S1 put a lot of emphasis on different and diverse shoot forms and how they changed the Bey's movement pattern, which IMO was really cool.
Where did the Runaway Shoot go? High Jump Shot? Darkness Shoot? Rolling Shoot? Heck, Shu doesn't even launch with his left hand anymore, and he definitely doesn't need power over accuracy in every single match he had since God started.
Now most returning characters keep the same shoot form for two, three, even four seasons straight (iirc Lui's been using Nightmare Shot ever since S1, with only minor changes each season), and every main protag who's not Valt starts out with one form then switches to another when they evolve their Bey and that's it (Aiga gets a pass because even if you don't count when he copied Valt's shoot form at the start of Cho-Z, he has a grand total of 3 different forms until now and the last of them is cool af). I liked how Rantaro, Sisco and Free got different shoot forms in Sparking (but then again this means the former two only have two forms in total), but that was just it and everyone else hasn't changed their stances in the slightest, which is disappointing because there's so much potential to tinker with this sort of thing. Saaaaaaad.
Here's to hoping the returning Legends (minus Valt who's already confirmed to keep his form for the FOURTH time in a row) actually get a new and original shoot form in DB.

I was hoping Valt would get a new launch, but alas what can you do. Maybe he'll create a new one when he gets DB Valtryek. I'm hoping the rest do.

Technically four seasons if you count DB. The last time Valt used High Jump Shot was against Red Eye in God's finalé

I’d love to see a high speed version of valt’s spin where the moment the bey flies off of the launcher, all of the momentum sends it straight into the wall allowing valkyrie to activate a Jet shoot Immediately

Which brings me to another point...
Where the fudge did Flash Shoot go, writers? Rush Shoot is used in every season minus GT, Jet Shoot got a Cho-Z version, and Flash Shoot just went POOF!
Edit: Wait I think it turned to Brave Flash. Bruh I'm dumb.

Can't wait for DB spriggan
Am I the only one that things Valt's current Shoot Form is hideous? Why does he keep his legs in the same position, it looks strange.

That's not really the case. But no matter what evidence I provide, no matter what I break down in the technical aspects of the writing, I don't think you'll accept it, and since according to you I'm twisting things even though everything I've stated is in the episodes, I'm therefore not interested in continuing this discussion with you. Valt didn't really have to much did he? He had natural growth of becoming stronger, but I don't really remember any development outside of the District Tournament.
He had a lot becuase he used to Beyblade without a care and in Evolution, he got a bit more serious

That's where we go back to character growth through arcs. We already discussed a lot of that at length earlier. Valt grew a ton.

You mean the things he did during the season? If you mean his character arc, that happened across the whole of the season. If you mean the things he did during the season then there's plenty of things.

Like him getting over Wakiya. I know he did have growth like accepting Shu is gone and he needs to him back and stop sulking, but I don't know if he actually had a full on character arc.
