BEY STORM
MELBOURNE, AUSTRALIA
OCTOBER 4TH, 2009 (THIS IS THE NEW DATE, IT HAS BEEN RESCHEDULED.)
12PM ONWARDS.

• Name: BEY STORM
• Date: October 4th, 2009, 12PM Onwards.
• Venue: Glenroy, Byron Court - Park.
• Expected Turnout: At the moment, around 13 people.
• Format: Round Robin, or Round Robin Block System.

The reason why the tournament was rescheduled is because only 7 people showed up to BEY STORM on September 27th, and we needed more people.

I have changed the venue because I can get a lot more people coming to the tournament in this area, since it's not in the city.

How to get there:
This is how to get there by train, I'm assuming most of you will be coming from the city or around the city. Catch the Craigieburn train, it comes around quite a lot, and stop at Glenroy. It's only about 15 minutes from the city by train, and if your coming from Flinders Street Station there is a Craigieburn train that comes in quite a lot.

At 12:00 PM, we will all walk down from the Glenroy Station down the Park, it's only 10 minute walk downhill, so it's not very hard, and don't worry I will be there.

Here is a timetable for catching the train to Glenroy from any station: http://www.connexmelbourne.com.au/timetable.php

PLEASE try and make it! The more people who come, the more fun everything will be!
And PLEASE PM Omega, if you are going! Sega is not hosting the tournament anymore, so please PM Omega.

i did it for you

im assuming sega didn't show up?
Thanks for editing the OP. Smile
No he didn't show up, unfortunately Unhappy Only 7 of us showed up, including myself.

EDIT: Oh I forgot, could you please rename the title of the OP to: RESCHEDULED: BEYSTORM - MELBOURNE, OCTOBER 4TH, 2009. And on the Upcoming Events, on the homepage, please update the title of that too, thanks.
Thanks.
Is that a train stop called Batman?

Holy carp that's amazing.
That sucks. It sounds like this event could've turned out really well... but at least it's rescheduled Smile
HAHAH, yes it is, but it's not pronounced like Bat - Man, more like Bat - mun.
Still the best name for a train stop.
Updated everything other than the upcoming events section on the front page. Not sure how to do that....
Oh okay, thanks Smile I know everything will be much better this time round.
Oh yeah, there's also a Batman college, and a few other 'Batman' related things.
Chocked_2 Wait... October 4th. I might be able to make it.

REALLY!? Seriously try and make it! This will be so awesome if a lot of people come!

And to Brad, maybe hold up a little, demand an explanation of why he didn't show up or do anything. If he doesn't respond then maybe do something about it.
Nicely done! Hopefully this time there will be more people coming
Man just delete my whole account, I'm done with Beyblades.

Sorry for dogging you guys and not actually posting beforehand, I've just gotten over them.

- Last Post, off this site for good -
Finally. Well it's not that great that you post now, after the tournament, is it?
Well, you did organize this but you neither showed up or updated us with the latest information. We were going pretty much insane in short. Sorry man but you should have told us before hand.

I feel pretty much betrayed...
Omega did us the favour of recording his conversation with Sega: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GgXo6MtYfYQ

I feel that I need to make an apology to everyone involved. I'm the one who selected Sega to run this event because I felt he was a trustworthy, respected member of the community. I was obviously mistaken.

Even removing Beyblade from the equation entirely, this was a horrible thing to do to anyone. You could have come to us and said, "I'm not interested in running this anymore," and we could have appointed someone else, no problem. You were visiting this board and receiving messages, we know that for a fact. You made a conscious decision to betray a bunch of kids who just wanted to play a game and who were grateful to you. You did a disgusting thing.

I understand better than anyone here that adult life can get in the way of hobbies, or that we can grow out of things. That's fine. What isn't fine is to do such a blatantly cruel thing. You say you grew out of Beyblade, but you seem less grown-up to me than you did a month ago.
S'okay Brad, you couldn't have forseen this. It's a real shame that anyone would do something like this.....I hope this won't discourage people from attending further events, they're great fun when everyone pulls together to make them work. Unhappy
Guys (referring to the Australian members), Omega has been really proactive trying to get this to work, I request that members show him support and show up to the rescheduled date.
Oh yeah Im so coming!

Hopefully this one will be a lot better than Sunday and have more beyfun!
Thanks Khel Smile
One more thing I forgot to tell you guys, could someone please add this to the bottom of the OP:

I might be supplying prizes for the 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place winners only if I have enough money, cause I still need to pay off about 130 dollars on some stuff. The prizes unfortunately can't be great prizes like a Storm Pegasis, but it can be bey's that are BB-27 and under. I cannot get prizes in time for the tournament, so if I do get prizes they will be shipped to your address.

Thanks. Grin
Damn... sorry to get your hopes up Omega. but i cant come.

if it was in November/December i could probably come but i got my last week of holidays then; and im being pushed to get all my Year 12 work up to date before the end of holidays. Unhappy
Nawww~ that sucks Crying Hope you can come around soon in the next tourney ( if there is gonna be one)
If this tourney was in early November or early December. I would be able to come.
