R145 Testing

Someone have to start Smile.

Here my results:

Stadium: Attack
Launcher: BeyLauncher + Suspension attached to Grip
Launch: first Bull 80%, Quetz with banking

Quetzalcoatl 90RF VS MF Earth(1st mold) Bull R145WB
Quetz 11/20
Bull 9/20

Conclusions: R145 sometimes seems to absorb quite well Quetz's hits, however other times it shows a notable recoil that can be dangerous for both the beys.
R145 sometimes gets in contact with the stadium floor, when inclined, causing big spin velocity losses.
It's about time someone did this. Good job, DrigerGT, although I'm not crazy about the results so far.
Finally, some testing.
It seems that the rubber isn't the best at absorbing hits, and it's still a pretty tough material.
Thanks DrigerGT!
That is definitely interesting. Thanks!

I hate to ask, but, if you get time, could you perhaps try the same defence combo against something like MF Lightning LDrago CH120RF? I think that this would be important in discerning the difference between the effectiveness of GB145 and R145.

Thanks.

Oh I'm getting Rock giraffe soon I'll post some results with the 2nd mold and do you consider a R145 an "OK" defence track.

I'd say yes.
Here's Cpt. Squirrel's testing for reference:

Ray Unicorno 100RF - MF Earth Bull R145WB:
10 - 8
2 Draws

To put it into context:

Ray Unicorno 100RF - MF Earth Bull GB145WB:
14 - 6

Ray Unicorno 100RF - MF Earth Bull C145WB:
13 - 6
1 Draw
I've got some more results here (Earth is 2nd mold):

MF Lightning L Drago 90RF - MF Libra R145WB:
9 - 10 (1 draw)

Context:

MF Lightning LDrago 90RF - MF Libra GB145WB:
13 - 7 (1 KO in favour of Libra)

MF Lightning LDrago 90RF - MF Libra C145WB:
12 - 7 (1 KO in favour of Libra) + 1 draw

______________

MF Lightning L Drago 90RF - MF Earth Bull R145WB:
15 - 5

Context:

MF Lightning LDrago 90RF - MF Earth Bull GB145WB:
14 - 5 (2 KOs in favour of Earth) + 1 draw

MF Lightning LDrago 90RF - MF Earth Bull C145WB:
16 - 3 (3 KOs in favour of Earth) + 1 draw

MF Lightning LDrago 90RF - MF Earth Bull C145WB (2nd testing):
15 - 5
Sorry to bring back a super old topic but I was curious how R145 does compared to 230 against tall track attackers.

EDIT: Nevermind, I wasn't thinking. R145 wouldn't affect taller attackers.
Well its height would affect how the metal wheel contacts with the other metal wheel
also it does effect other lower attack beys such as the top tier Vulcan combo
This combo has been tested to be a monster
MF Gravity Perseus (counter mode)R145RF
Well it's pretty good for both attack and defence so you judge from that.

are R145 good?

R145 is quite a good defence track. It also has great attacking abillities. I personally think they should replace GB145 with R145 on the top tier parts list.
R145 was once Top Tier , but got outclassed by other tracks .
If you have tests that show GB145 doing better than R145 post them .
GB145 performs better in general, as R145 has recoil issues due to it's large gaps. This was determined in testing, though r145 isn't much worse, it does better in some situations.

TBH, they're both outclassed by BD145 now anyway.
