Questions about the WBO

You mean a "Family Computer"?Something like that?
I might have and just don't remember..
I'm very forgetful.
I can't subscribe to anything! I don't have the authority or something like that. Please help!

Subscription has never really worked properly on MyBB boards as far as I know.

A way to set this is to go to "My Settings" and "Edit Options". Under "Messaging and Notifications", click the drop-down box under "Default Thread Subscription Mode" and click "No email notification" or "Instant email notification." For every thread you post in (most likely Quick Reply), you'll be automatically subscribed to the thread and probably get e-mails for new posts.

If you want to post in a thread and NOT subscribe, click the "post reply" button above the Quick Reply section. At the bottom of the posting box, click the circle "Do not subscribe to this thread." If you do accidentally subscribe to the thread and you don't want to be, go to "My Settings" and "Subscribed Threads". Click the boxes of the threads you no longer want to be subscribed to, click "Delete subscription" in the bottom, and finally the "Go" button.

And that works for you everytime ? Personally, I somehow became subscribed to threads I never subscribed to ... And, on another board, when I clearly subscribed to a topic, I got an email notification for the first reply, and then none after that ...
Surprisingly, yes. I figured that out when I found my settings like that. Apparantly, I was fiddling around with it, and BAM. There it is. When you get e-mail notifications, they'll ask if you want to be unsubscribed to the thread and give you a URL. FYI, it doesn't work. You'll have to do it manually via the method I mentioned above. That way, you can control what threads you want to be subscribed in and manually configure what you want and don't want.

Yay for accidents! You probably have an "instant e-mail notification" thing upon posting, so you'll automatically be subscribed if you use quick reply. If you use the blue "post reply" button, you can control your subscription status before you accidentally subscribe.

It DOES get annoying if it's in a thread you don't normally post in. For me, it's the Random Beyblade Thoughts or something. I would post and wait for a reply via e-mail. If I don't get the replies I want, I unsubscribe to stop flooding my e-mail.

Oh yeah. It WILL flood your inbox. You're best making a sub-folder for WBO e-mails and move them their to sort it out. That's just me and my OCD, though
I never use the Quick Reply option though, and I never accidentally subscribed to anything ...
Hm...a glitch, probably. Check your settings in the manner I described, as well as your posting options when you're about to make a post. If a box or selection that has anything to do with subscribing is selected, then that's probably the cause. If not....uhhh...I dunno. I'm better at figuring out V-Bulletin than MyBB.
Or maybe people accidentally click the subscribe to this thread button under the quick reply box? Honestly, this has never been a problem for me, who has been using quick reply ever since I joined...

Well, it has always worked for me... I do not click that subscribe to this thread button below quick reply, but whenever I wanna subscribe to a thread, I use post reply, and check the option Subscribe with/without email notif.... Still, I have started using Kaji's method... But, the method I use is easier.....
hey everyone sorry if this has been posted already but how can i put a sig i downloaded from a sig shop?
Is there a facebook topic and if there isn't, am I allowed to create one?
There is a Facebook page for the WBO if that is what you mean. Just search the obvious.
Topic, not page.

I searched, but the search engine here is weird.

This question has been asked and answered many times, even in multiple "sig shops".

Deikailo, I think we have a topic for something similar to that already, yes.
Wow, you're the only person who calls me Deikailo.

Do you know what forum it's in?

I call people by their username unless they give me permission to call them by their real name.

I'd understand using your method. I usually prefer going "Quick Reply" unless I wanna keep myself from getting subscribed to a certain thread (sometimes, I do forget, though). Yours is a more CONTROLLED subscribing method which gives a higher chance of subscribing or not to a thread. Mine's more of a, "...Eh..." type of method. lol

A question regarding this. Is the Facebook page for the WBO this one? I felt iffy with it because it seemed pretty recent with not a lot of stuff other than a few Wall posts and the Profile pic there.

Do you mind reading the post above you? Also, Can you be a little clear ? btw, whatever I understood by your question, here's the answer- WBO-approved tourneys are legal, while non-WBO approved tourneys are illegal.

Hm, no, that is not ours. Actually, we have just not updated neither Facebook nor Twitter in months ...

I suppose "legal" tournaments follow a structure with certain restrictions applied to participants. In our case, that means that the event proposal must be approved by the Committee.
so..WBO have any facebook?might join up there too..
