These are two very different things in terms of beybattles, rubber isn't used for destruction but is mainly used for stamina/breaking other's stamina. Hence the name "Impact" and not "Destroy" or "Breaker"

From Dictionary.com:

Quote:Impact, Noun: the striking of one thing against another; forceful contact;

The impact of the colliding cars broke the windshield.

To be fair, until TT uploads their review/advertisement video of it I assume it'll just have the generic "offensive rubber" marketing, which implies that rubber = better attack, but nothing specific as to how or why it's good.
But then again, they do seem to make a point of Wizard Rod getting knocked away in the (oddly ASMR) 15-second advertisement for Impact Drake here.

When I said Impact, I knew it made contact, the point I was making was that the rubber isn’t a straight up destroyer or breaker

Brother what are you on about. Rubber on your contacts literally dampens the impact. There's a reason why Ultimate gets wayyyy better once you wear the rubber off of it. Anime is what lies to you.
That’s soft rubber. Hard rubber doesn’t dampen impact while increasing friction, which means when the bey hits it has a better grip on the opponent, so more energy is transferred. That’s why the attack power increases.

Again I will use the example of Ultimate from burst. It's rubber is not soft, yet once the rubber wears away, it's significantly stronger because it exposes the harder plastic beneath it.

Rubber on your contacts is not a good attack feature no matter how much TT tries to tell you it is.

What about Judgement? There's no way a shape that round produces such recoil. The reason Ultimate increases attack power as it wears is because the plastic blades are oriented to the opposite direction, Like single layer Valkyrie, which increases the impact even more that rubber does. Otherwise, hard rubber does have better impact than plastic. Just reread my prior statement. The physics check out, my dude.

Judgment is good because it's shape is insane not because it's contacts are rubber. If it were made entirely of plastic instead, it would be even more insane. This is why the Hasbro judgement is better, because the rubber is harder. If it was grippiness that made impact better, softer rubber would be better, yet it is not.

If rubber had better impact than plastic, a blade with reverse contacts should be even better in rubber. Yet it is not.

Rubber contacts are not good for attack. They are a direct nerf to any aggressive shape.

A slight oval isn’t exactly what I would call an insane shape.
Hasbro Judgement doesn’t have rubber and I don’t see how a hollowed out version of the TT one would be better.
Tt Judgement has way more competitive feats than the hasbro version.
The contact reverses at the plastic points, not rubber ones.
Rubber can defined increase attack power when used correctly.

Ah I see, you don't own judgement do you? The TT and Hasbro versions are nearly identical outside of the rubber hardness. Judgement's main contacts are the pink parts that scoop outward, and guess what, the pink parts are rubber! Wild isn't it.

Judgement is one of, if not THE best pre sparking attack rings because of its oval shape and reverse contacts. And yes, the Hasbro version is the preferred competitive version because of the harder rubber.

This is the last time I'm responding to this argument.

Agree to disagree, then. Have a good day.
not really experienced in competitive and im sure its alr been said but i feel like the rubber will be most likely used to absorb and deflect attacks instead of "boosting attack"
like how depending on the combo Fafnir was good for counters
Rubber likely would dampen the recoil and knockback but I'd imagine it might be a pretty good burst attacker if Judgement was anything to go by.

My reasoning is that the rubber contacts would grip onto ratchets instead of just striking them like normal increasing the possibility of causing the ratchet to turn.

Since the stock combo is 9-60 LR and the shape doesn't appear to be made for upper attack, I think a burst attacker is the intention here.

Please correct me if my reasoning is incorrect, I haven't personally collected or played with Beyblade X so my understanding is based on videos of battles.

I haven’t even realized that. Yeah, that’s a good point.
Why isn't anyone considering that the rubber on Impact drake might actually make it heavier? Impact Drake's predecessor, Cobalt Drake, was the second heaviest blade for quite a long time at around 38 grams. If Takara Tomy doesn't vastly change the molding method or metal density of Impact Drake, the added rubber might make it our first 40 gram blade, possibly surpassing Phoenix Wing and Dran Buster as an attack blade.

Actually, This LR (Low Rush) would make Impact Drake perfect for upper attack such as Keel Shark in Beyblade X, or  Longinus in Beyblade Burst.

Wait you are a genius...PW may be dethroned as heaviest bey...

1: Because rubber isn't heavier than metal
2: From what I've seen, Impact doesn't have a huge upper shape, it's just on a low bit.
The thing that I'm kinda concerned about is how the launcher hooks on the blade are rubber. Wouldn't that wear out over time? Or get stuck on the launcher?

Unless there is a layer of plastic under the launcher hooks this blade might not last long.

most likely there's plastic underneath, BX beyblades have plasitc hooks under their metal ones
Here is a video on the demo showing of Impact Drake 9-60LR:
