It is possible that Shelter Drake can be the Bakuten Shoot homage for both Ultimate (Spin) Dragoon and Strata (Gaia) Dragoon in someway plus someone thought on an Attack Type combo for it to resemble Daichi' bey attack type style:

Shelter Drake 5-70A (Accel) it use a yellow Shelter Drake blade, purple 5-70 ratchet, and a yellow Accel (A) bit.

Also someone use a Yell Kong (Kong Yell) 7-70GP as a example how it do in a beybattle against Cobalt Drake and it seen it can hold it ground against any attack that Shelter Drake might do.

The design reminds me more of TyrannoBeat then YellKong
They learned how to make different colors for selects!1111!!

Not sure how viable the blade will be given how thin it looks. Seems to be a reoccurring theme with selects not having good blades...
looks cool but my concern about this bey is that it might break in battle because of how thin it is and two of mine broke and now I have one left now and that's why I did not go to the tournament in Houston TX. but its a nice stamina type shape tho for a Balance type assuming for the red color

Color rule only really applies to bits. No discernable pattern with blades because we get weird wildcard colors like gray, black and gold and blades like WyvernGale that are green despite being stamina.
oh okay that's cool I thought it was like the burst gen with the colors matching the bey type.

Regardless, there were beys that didn't have the color of their types(Like basically every bey that wasn't Valkyrie, Spriggain, Kerbeus, or Ragnarok).

True! Though i will say it seems that when a new gen of Beys comes out then the color rule is used for the first couple ex: DranSword HellsScythe WizardArrow KnightShield or Victory Valkyrie, Rising Ragnaruk, Kaiser Kerbeus, Storm Spriggan etc. But as the releases keep coming the color rule gets a bit sidelined.

Edit: Oh wait RalfBalf already said what I said.

Yea, though at least for X the color rule has held steadfast for Bits specifically. Only exception being Elevate which was most likely retyped from Attack to Balance late in development.

Here is a showcase video of this Random Booster select set:

idk the blade looks a little too thin to be a perfect defense blade, it might be pretty good using low defense but i'm not sure about this release yet

the point is to combine defense and stamina, so maybe a combo with Glide or Hexa, so it maintain good posture with great defense, while the blade helps with the endurance. A nine type ratchet might be best to avoid bursts
