Post your reliable counters for Sr

Let’s face it.
Basically every tournament that we host gets dominated by Spriggan Requiem.
It’s taken over the metagame.

A counter needs to be found. I’d post one, but I don’t know of any. If you know of a reliable counter for Sr, then you need to post it here like right now. For the sake of everybody.

If you wanna buy one head over to pvccard.expert’s page here .
A hacksaw?

A ban hammer?

Absolute savagery and deeming Shu a horrible character?

Idk. It should probably only be legal in right spin. Left spin seems to be the problem because it spin steals as well as having overwhelming burst resistance.
If your a Hasbro fan then I would use a maximum Garuda with 0 and atomic( remember it’s hasbro Garuda) that beats sr0b atomic and destroy. But if your looking for a counter against sR 7/7b/0/0b bearing then use deep chaos 7 b or 0b bearing. This is because deep chaos and bearing both have the best stamina for layers and drivers, for another disc you can also use four because four is a really good disc for stamina. Those are definitely top tiers in the tournament game. I also know this because I faced off against that maximum garuda combo with sR 0b destroy and I lost. And in the finals for the championship I used sR 0b bearing and he used deep chaos (some disk I don’t know) and bearing. And deep chaos won the two points
nL is pretty consistent, as long as you can control it and know how to get the most out of it...I tend to use either Xtreme or Destroy with it alongside meteor since I'm running my Bump frame on Sr.

I won against nL xtreme with sR 0b bearing. And nL has mold problems and it can be easy to burst most of the time if you use it a lot
hmm .... no decent combo that has bahamut??

This is unreliable when aB has weak teeth and Sr can change spin rotation. From what I know, Sr is overpowered on At, Ds, and Be.

I am definitely thinking in terms of wV. It is unstable and has a very jagged shape.

Can someone test out wV R Mr for me against different Sr combos? Make sure you use a super powerful launch.

However in tournaments you can’t switch between left in right during a match. Though most combos I’ve seen are usually left spin.

Exactly my point.

If Sr was exclusively right spin, we would be able to use more parts and open up the metagame by a wide margin.

Though, I have a feeling that future Cho Z releases will be able to co dominate with Sr, so I say we wait for the most part.

But if nothing changes, lets just only allow Sr to be in right spin in tournaments.
I would also maybe suggest tN 7G Sp as a possible combo against Sr 0 Ds.

I can guess this might work because of the higher speeds compared to accel, and the small stamina benefit. Because Sp is jagged shaped, I guess it could have better grip on the tornado ridge than something that is circular. Could someone also try this against Sr 0 Ds?

Actually, Sp has less grip on the ridge, as less of the tip is actually touching the ridge at any given moment. combine that with Sp's awful stamina, and you've got yourself a recipie for loss.

Iron is probably your best bet. it has great stamina for an attack driver, and holds a flower pattern better then zephyr. That would make your combo much better.

also, realistically, Sr bearing/destroy combos would have more LAD than yours, so i'd go with star for the frame.
I just had the craziest idea, hear me out. I *might* be onto something.

I was reading the description of Nothing, that it is an exceptionally unreliable stamina part due to a tip akin to EWD and W2D.

HOWEVER, It is spring compressed.

Since 0 is the heaviest disc, B is the heaviest frame, and wV is currently the heaviest attack layer, wouldn't we be able to put enough weight to slightly compress the spring in Nt, making it lower?

Adding to the aggrssive movements of Nothing, wouldn't we be able to make an exceptional attack type and potential counter due to the inability to effectively steal off of it?

I just want this tested, regardless how crazy the idea seems:

wV 0B Nt
In the recent Asia Championship, there were 2 matches in which Sr.0B.Br confronted bK.4S.Br, and Kukulcan won in both matches by Burst Finish.

I recommend Nightmare Longinus bump extreme or hunter

wV.T.Nt wrecks, look up boltoms on YT, he made a vid on it

depends really. I've had results swing either way, but your points are fair enough.
Winning Valkyrie 4Vortex Extreme
Emporer Orneus 7Bump Yard
I picked Yard because, it is slightly worse than atomic at life after death, but has higher burst resistant.

random wins are random

but if we are looking at probabilities, without question nL xtreme is a solid counter against sR.0B.Br.

same-spin sR.0B.Ds also dominates sR.0B.Br, but you will get lots of double bursts
