This thread is reeeeaaaalllly not needed. Just post in Anime Random thoughts.

Digimon is a virtual world full of monsters. How in the heck is that related to yugioh at all? And just becuase DBZ had 1 season of characters fusing, it's hardly similair to Digfusion. Oh and yes, fighting spinning tops are very much compared to an anime where characters get stuck in a virtual world where monsters roam the place.

You do understand that Pegasus' are legit mythical animals, right? They've been told about in legends and stuff for thousands of years... Beyblade didn't create them...

But that's just it, it's not copying beyblade because beyblade didn't create it. A Pegasus is a commonly known mythical beast.

Come on guys, be the bigger dude and drop it. I'll make like a mini-mod and report both of you.

However, Pokemon came first, and it was groundbreaking and sold a TON of stuff. So why not make money and take a few ideas?

However Digimon was not based off of Pokemon. It was based around the concept of the Tamagotchis, Virtual Pets mainly for boys because Tamagotchi had the female side of the V-pet market.

Yugioh is totally irrelevant, digimon and beyblade got the pegasus from greece, and fusion is in alot of things, it has nothing to do with what came out first, if digimon copied anything itd be pokemon, because of the monster idea, and thats because that was making money at the time

Digimon was a Tomogachi spin-off. Pokemon was an idea before it, but Digimob came out first.
The team behind Digimon didn't know there was Pokemon at first, but hell, they made a much better anime as well as toys. Games; not so much.
By the way, fusions aren't copied. It's a universal idea.
Same with Pegasus'. They're OLD mythical beasts; not strictly a character in the modern gen.

Things can be inspired from a recent franchise or media though.
Example; Jurassic Park made dinosaurs the in thing. (For those who don't know, Sentai is what Power Rangers is based on. They licensed the fight footage and added new American footage. It's not mere "Japanese Power Rangers", rather PR is "American Sentai".) So for the next Sentai series, Kyoryu Sentai Zyuranger (ke-yo-ree-ooh sent-i Jew-Renja) was based on dinosaurs.

I actually HATE Digimon Anime and all thats associated with it.IDK If it's true but I heard that Digimon released a bear that looked similar to a pokemon.

I see minimal/no resemblance between Bearmon or even Monzaemon Which is a puppet and Ursaring/Cubchoo/teddyursa/cubchoo's evolution....
