Pokemon Omega Ruby and Alpha Sapphire

Awesome! Although I was like 90% sure it was going to happen. Steven will probably be the champ, and since Diantha it will probably be a tradition that the champ has a Mega. Even if it was Wallace Steven is still the guy that teaches you about Mega Evolution so it makes sense for him to have one. They could have given him Aggron but Metagross is his Guardian Pokémon.

Edit: I hope the Base Stats are something like 100/150/130/110/130/80 and based on the picture I'd bet it gets Levitate.

Double Edit: looking at the rest of the Serebii page and that opposite Charizard event. I hope it comes to the US, and more opposite Mega Stone events occur. I have X, and a 5V fully trained Aggron and Heracross...
So them rumours mega metagross has tough claws? That could make bullet punch potentially ridiculous depending on what it's stats are!

We got pictures of a few gym leaders and elite 4 members yesterday, and a lot of people were speculating that there will be Mega Shiftry and Mega Dusknoir because Sidney has a watch, and Phoebe has an anklet on her leg.

But i think that if they were to have megas, it would not be those two. They would end up re-using the ones they have already made (which would actually make a lot more sense) - Sidney would have Mega Absol and Phoebe would have Mega Sabelye or Banette. This is like Serena or your rival in X/Y, with her starter being her Ace and Absol being her mega.

Possibly, Glacia would have Mega Glalie (?), and Drake would have Mega Flygon.

A lot of useless pokemon definitely need megas, but not all would be necessary like Salamence.

Also new information; Mega Diancie gets Magic Bounce which is awesome! It can't have a status condition with causing moves like toxic.

I feel like it will end up having Levitate or keep Clear Body. Tough claws would be so op.

EDIT: You people need to hear these .. I feel like they could actually fit into the game well aghhh
New trailer released showcasing the new character designs, gyms, and some more of Mega Metagross.

This statement was also released with him, confirming that he stays Steel/Psychic and gains Tough Claws.

Quote:"Mega Metagross, the Iron Leg Pokémon, is a massive Steel- and Psychic-type Pokémon standing at 2.5 m (8’02”) and weighing 942.9 kg (2078.7 lbs). Upon Mega Evolving, Metagross’s Ability changes to Tough Claws, which increases the power of attacks that make physical contact. Mega Metagross also has a greatly increased Speed stat, with additional increases in its Attack, Defence, Sp. Atk, and Sp. Def, making Mega Metagross primed for both offense and defense."

This one was also released confirming that Mega Diancie will have Magic Bounce and be more offensively oriented.

Quote:"When Diancie Mega Evolves into Mega Diancie, it will get the Magic Bounce Ability, which makes any status condition or stat-lowering effect bounce back at the Pokémon trying to inflict it. Through Mega Evolution, Mega Diancie receives a big boost to its Speed, as well as boosts to its Attack and Sp. Atk, while experiencing a reduction in its Defense and Sp. Def. The boosts help Mega Diancie with its quick, powerful attacks, such as Diamond Storm and Moonblast."

Although these were worded differently by Pokebeach, all the important info stayed the same.
Why couldn't Sceptile have gotten Tough Claws instead...? Crying

I still think Levitate would have been a better Ability for Megagross. Now I'm guessing the stats will be something like 100/150/120/110/110/110. Pretty sure this thing is now heavier than Groudon, Tough Claws Heavy Slam is going to destroy pretty much anyhting, lol.

I also don't think they'd give all of the Elite 4 Megas. That would seem kind of overkill, seeing as only five (5) people in XY could have them, and while so far in ORAS only you and Steven are confirmed to have them, there's a good chance Wally, May/Brendan, Archie, and Maxie will have Megas, and a smaller chance for Wallace or Norman.
they left rayquaza out of the primal reversion.
Cannon hehe
Nah metagross get nerfed this gen anyway; this is definitely a pretty good damn thing. As far as megas go is potential the best in standard play.

If he could learn Heavy Slam, I'm sure it would, but Metagross can't. You'll have to stick to Mega Aggron for your Heavy Slams.

I agree. Metagross has always been brought down by it's Speed in past generations, great bulk, ridiculous attack, but could never sweep without the Agility set. This generation, he just gained more weaknesses to bring him down even farther. Although being a Steel type gave it another resistance as well against Fairies.
This Mega Evolution for Metagross is going to skyrocket it in actual usability, EASILY OU.
Yeah currently it would be ridiculous. Actually afraid the mega stone would get ubered

Just a rumour, but there may be a third game. Word on the street states that a trademark has been registered for a third game.

Delta Emerald

Mind you, this may not even come out at all though, but a Emerald remake would be absolutely awesome.
I wish things were simpler like back in 2004 =_=
Too many rules and stuff. Back in the day; link cables.
yeah guys im super happy been waiting years for this i saw that there are rumors and theory's about the jade orb being Rayquazas orb like Groudon etc and that there might be a primal version of him and that maybe the red and blue orbs are going to be held items in this game Smile
Yes I think it's been widely speculated across the whole community that the orbs are going to be the mega evolution stones for kyogre and groudon on respectively.
Rayquaza was confirmed to not have a primal form.
What's your source Neo?
And it might not get a primal form, considering we don't know what it means yet. It may still get a mega evolution, guess we're going to just have to wait.

Mega altaria w/ pixilate
Mega salamence w/ aerilate
Mega lopunny w/ scrappy
What about the mega metagross, or is it just a shiny normal one?
Either way I thought it was cool that they referenced alpha and omega in x y. Hoenn was my favorite region, and I'm sure others agree. Can't wait for the English release.

The article clearly states that it will be an event Shiny Beldum holding the Mega Stone...

Anywho, here are my stats/strategy prediction for the new Megas:

I didn't read the article, because I don't have time for that. I bite my thumb.
Salamanca is a pseudo legend right, I'm pretty sure he was used as a dragon dance sweeper. I'm expecting mega loppunny to do well with her new strengths, and altarias pixilated would make her a good fairy Beamer. Can't wait to see how close your predictions are though.
Salamence can be used as a Moxie Physical set, Intimidate Special set, Mixed set (what i run), and be used with scarf, banded, specs, lum, etc etc. so it can be used for anything basically.

Wombat:
It learns Jump Kick and that's base 100 with 95 accuracy. That is a much better option than Sky Uppercut with 85 base power, and only 90 accuracy.

edit: Serebii says "it now learns Hi Jump Kick" on the index page.

Ahhhh, Jump Kick must have gotten buffed and Sky Uppercut got nerfed. They both used to be 85/95 but X/Y changed so many power/accuracy things I can't keep track of all of them. But apparently Lopunny gets Hi Jump Kick in ORAS now (like Shiftry gets Leaf Blade) so I guess it doesn't matter anymore.

HAGFISFIHOEHF GAH

Altaria is a bit fluffy, and i think the arms of Salamence should have stayed out tbh, but still cool! And the contests .. are beautiful!

I think some of the moves animation got revamped a bit, since Muddy Water looked a bit different.
gaiohg;asohosghagihgas
Shiny pokemon!

That armour looks so cool.
Altaria still looks pretty awsome!
Contests are going to be cool; I actually liked them in Sinhoh!
Oh wonderful. Megas look cool.
That flying press Pikachu OMGDZHZLSIESB
The first Pokemon game I ever bought with my own money was Pokemon Ruby, at a local toy shop with a friend. The game just came out, and I was only around 8. We played together for hours. It is a shame her and I never stayed friends. Those were some of the best days of my childhood.

I remember everything about from the day I bought it, to the day I beat the elite four for the first time, to the time I accidentally killed Groudon, to the day I climbed this mysterious thing called Sky Tower and found a mythical pokemon I knew nothing about sitting at the top waiting for me, to the time where I caught my very first shiny Pokemon; A Magnetite and an Oddish, who are still with my games today. (RIP Save data w/ Shiny Totadile in my original Pokemon Gold) Funny how so many new methods have emerged of enhancing Shiny encounter rates, and I haven't found one in the wild since.

Don't even get me started on the day I bought Emerald. It was like my previous adventure had been reborn again, but wrapped up in this beautiful, crystal green cartridge. Actually, I had forgotten until recently that I had purchased the collectors tin....but like my old Beyblades, who the hell knows where that is now....Hope to find them both some day.

Needless to say, I have some really powerful love for the third generation. I am not an emotional person, but those games got me through some tough times as a child, so I hope I am going to be okay when I play the new versions...
