Heart Gold & Soul Silver is also packaged with a new peripheral; PokéWalker, which will allow you to transfer a Pokémon to it to train it up as you walk around your normal life.
And yes, if the exp rate is the same through out the training, I might as well as go to a straight, one way path, and cycle back and forth 1000 times and use that pokemon to own everyone in the rpg

It irritates me when new Pokemon players who don't even know Gold and Silver existed say "Oh, what's so great about it? It's just got an extra thing." Seriously, no idea what they missed out on.
