[Plastics] :: Q&A Thread

Sometimes it can be worthwhile with compacts, but usually it isn't. Other than that, it doesn't see much use in plastics or at least I've rarely found any use for it, I imagine that's down to differences between systems.
I prefer spiral change base as a tornado stall and it LAD abilities.

Spiral Change Base's tendency to tornado stall doesn't actually do anything useful, though, it outspins pretty much nothing it wouldn't outspin anyway, which was the entire point here. There are obviously plenty of parts which will circle the tornado ridge, it's just that very few if any actually gain anything from that.
Hi, guys! Can I know how many transforming beyblades are there in total?
In terms of things that got different names, from Takara there are:
Hayate, Shin-Hayate, Zinrai, Raiden
Salamalyon, Donitrus, Bakuten Henkei Gaia Dragoon (actually came with a different weight disk)
Griffolyon, Etanzel
Zeo, Aveiron

And from Hasbro (who used different molds - poles on the AR instead of the BB, the II's were just recolors of the originals)
Hayata, Zinrai, Hayate II, Zinrai II
Griffolyon, Griffolyon II
Salamalyon, Salamalyon II

Anything on the same line is the same beyblade with a different name, though Bakuten Henkei Gaia Dragoon has a different weight disk to the salamalyons (revolver attack instead of eight wide).

As for identically named recolors, there's a Black Griffolyon from Takara (Griffolyon Black Version if I remember the official name right), don't think there are any more but not 100% sure.

You can total them up yourself based on what you consider a separate beyblade. Smile

Ah, yes, thank you very much. I might be starting my transforming beyblades one day.
Which is better for upper; dranzer GT and Master Dragoon's ARs ? They both look quite similar (aside from color of course.) IMO.

EDIT: I heard Dranzer GT's is best in left spin and Master Dragoon's is second best in left and best in right, not positive it's true though.
Master Dragoon's is honestly better in both. Triangle Wing is a bit more recoil prone.
I was wondering if anyone had some knowledgeable experience with Dranzer GT's EG? I've only gone through 2, since they're so rare nowadays. The first one I had was from a Hasbro Dranzer GT, and that was quite a while ago in 2003. I remember it's EG being great and then wearing out pretty quickly to the point where it isn't able to reverse the blade anymore and instead just uselessly kills spin power. The second EG I've had was from a Takara Dranzer GT (mint condition). Judging by the looks and the seller's description since I got it from eBay, he barely used it, if any. Now, within the first few days of using it, the EG was quite powerful, strong enough to reverse the blade at least one revolution. However, afterwards, the EG also got weak to the point where it couldn't reverse the blade either within a matter of a few days. Therefore, I decided to try to repair the EG with spare parts from other brand new EGs. I was somewhat successful in repairing the Takara Reverse EG by placing the spring from Dragoon GTs Turbo EG into the housing of Dranzer GTs. The only problem with this fix is that the Turbo EG releases very quickly. it's release was much stronger, albeit during a much shorter time duration as opposed to the original release (slightly weaker release, but over a longer period of time). As a result of the new release, the blade is once again able to reverse successfully, but is able to complete only one-fourth to one-half a reverse revolution on average as opposed to the consistent full turn. I've also experimented using lesser compact springs from brand new EGs (I used a brand new spring from Driger G and another new one from Dragoon G). After doing so, the release was more consistent instead of sudden with the Turbo EG spring, however, this time the release was again too weak to successfully reverse the blade. Is the original spring in Dranzer GT (either Hasbro or Takara) a special one of a kind one or is it the same as the ones found in normal right and left EGs? I assumed that only the Left Turbo EG has a different spring and all others used the same lesser compact ones, but just configured differently. I also replaced the EG with brand new gears, even the main gear that spins the shaft while keeping the CEW connector intact, but for some reason, I just can't seem to restore the original reverse function it once had. I would greatly appreciate it if anyone with the same type of experience would care to share.
Honestly Reverse EG is an amazing piece. About 50 rounds of using EG it still working properly.

AR:Triple Tiger
WD Heavy
SG: Reverse EG
BB: Dranzer GT

is just amazing to me.
Hmm, that's interesting. Maybe I've just had bad luck with both Takara and Hasbro Reverse EGs? Now that you mention it, 50 rounds, is that far past the expected amount of times an EG is still in its "prime?" Also, if it's not too much trouble, could you post a youtube video of said EG in action?
I dunno what Stars is talking about, he's obviously just got lucky as I've definitely had one or two reverse EG's break on me, and frankly his combo sucks. :\
Hey guys, I´m just wondering if the price reference list on beywiki is really up-to-date, just as Kai-V told me a couple of weeks ago.

I just wanted to check some prices and it says that that NIB Dragoon GT was about $100, Dranzer GT also $100, Dranzer MS $15 and Shining God MS $120. Just to name a few examples.
But I didn´t see even one Dragoon GT go for less that $350 during the last few months, Dranzer GT about the same, Dranzer MS goes for about $50 at the moment and Shining God MS goes for between $300 and $400 (IF you even find a seller).

Actually I would feel quite low-balled myself, if I had to sell my NIB Shining God MS for that price... Of course some prices there are quite reasonable, but especially the prices for the rare ones seem quite low to me.
So what am I supposed to think of that list?
Those lists are the price things should be going for if people are patient and look around/explore their options etc. In fact, a lot of rare beys have gone pretty cheap recently on eBay just because there haven't been many bidders etc.

Anyone who pays $350 for a regular Dragoon GT has infinitely more money than sense about using it, honestly. It's never been worth that, aside from the rarer recolors - $350 is the territory of only the rarest beyblades, honestly, and even then with enough patience you can find a lot of those cheaper too.

It's mostly up to date, but right now things are a bit erratic with the market, basically.

Really?? I´ve checked ebay for rares every week and I didn´t find any bey that went for a low price... Maybe the good auctions just didn´t show for some reason Uncertain

So what do you think are the rarest?

(Jan. 12, 2014  11:04 PM)th!nk Wrote: with enough patience you can find a lot of those cheaper too.

Where?? On ebay?

And how much do you think should the highest price for a NIB Shining God MS be?

(I know, this actually belongs to the HMS thread, but since we´re just discussing about that list and prices of rares, I´ll just ask it here. If that´s not ok though, just tell me, I´ll edit my post and delete the last question.)
IDK I haven't paid much attention for a while, but a few people I chat to about stuff have linked me to various things that had gone real cheap or even just not been bidded on in recent weeks, and I stumbled on a couple myself. One example I remember was a near mint Grip Attacker going for under $30 or something like that.

Couldn't give you a list of the rarest things off the top of my head right now, a lot of that kinda thing are recolors of already rare beys or whatever.

Generally not ebay, though sometimes you get lucky there. The best way to go about it is buying lots that contain them off Y!JA and reselling the stuff you don't want but then I'm not sure if the market is active enough to make that viable right now. Otherwise I used to just lurk in the marketplace subforum here.

HMS prices aren't really my thing, SGMS might be up that way but I'm really not the person to ask sorry, you'd be better of asking in HMS Q&A.
Ok, thank you th!nk, you really helped me a lot! Smile
Another question: I found a used purple Draciel S and a blue Masrer Dragoon on ebay. The seller told me that they were NOT recolored, but from his warehouse.
I didn´t find those recolors in beywiki, but there are others that aren´t mentioned there, too, although they have really been released.
So do you think they´re fake or could they really have been released in that color?

EDIT: Same for a white Metal Draciel I couldn´t find on beywiki either.
A link would be good. If they are real Master Dragoon will be from a random booster and the master dranzer/metal draciel was definitely released in white from a random booster/tourney prizes. Not sure about the purple Draciel S.

Ok then I guess Master Dragoon and metal Draciel are original.

Here´s the link for Draciel S:

Just because they were released doesn't mean those are real. The Draciel S looks pretty crappy and the picture quality is poor. I'd say it's more likely to be fake than than a rare recolour.

Ok thanks, Oceanking.

The seller promised me it was real. Nevertheless, since he said in the item´s description that it was not fake I might have a good chance to get my money back if it´s really a fake.

I will post close and high quality pictures here when I got them. Then we can see if they are fake or not.

Yeah you got me XD But I usually ask here if the price is ok before purchasing Wink

EDIT: I´ve bought beys that were way overpriced without noticing several times, so I don´t want to make the same mistake again
