Ninokuni (Literally, The Other World) is Level 5 (Professor Layton series, White Knight Chronicles series, Dark Cloud series, etc.) and animation studio Studio Ghilbi's (Princess Monoke, Spirited Away, Ponyo, etc.) co-production. Originally announced as a DS project intended to be Studio Ghibli's first entrance into the video game industry, the title was then announced for the PS3, and aims to seamlessly blend both traditional animation, and CG gameplay together. Both games are separate experiences in the same world.

I don't really care for the DS version, so I wasn't attempting to dig deep to find actual, non Ghilbi cutscene screenshots.

No English release has been announced.

The level designs look beautiful, I could roam around them forever. ;_; No doubt the music will be amazing, I hope to hear some classic Studio Ghibli music in there!
If this doesn't get an US/Europe release I will be carped.
