Midfake Beyblade Discussion and Information

But that is a bit questionable now given that...my new long left string launcher from the Long Beylauncher set L broke within a day, which is a bit weird given that only the LR string launcher and sparking launchers have breakage problems iirc. What's even more weird is that I noticed an enraved print like you usually see under MFB starters and boosters behind the box which I usually don't see for any of my burst beys besides Bloody Longinus. I don't remember the exact code(and I can't show it right now either because I'm not home), but it ends with the number 20. Now, from what I've gathered codes like these refer to a specific date, namely that the two numbers at the end refers to the year that particular product was made(i.e 11 means it was made in 2011, 18 means it was made in 2018, just like my Bloody Longinus).

Basically the thing is...doesn't this mean my Long Beylauncher set L was made in 2020?But how is that possible when Cho-Z already ended in late 2019?so at most it could have a 19, but not 20 in production code. Essentially, this and the fact that my launcher broke so fast is making me think that Burst might be getting mid fakes too because these are usually the signs for such.

This is the simplest solution, but also the hardest because there's no way to email TT directly. If there was any way to do this, people would have done so by now.

Quote:The 2013 date code seems fishy to me if there are a large number of products with the same code as it would be unlikely that quantity of parts could be made or packed and labelled in such short time, also if you wanted to imitate another product potentially a fee years after it was discontinued you'd look into things like date codes of the original products and copy them. I have seen grey imports (I think that's the term used) in other products where often the boxes then get a security seal of some type to say the contents inside are genuine, or a distributor sticker to show it originated from a particular distributor that knows the product came from the correct supplier.

FWITW my box does seem to come with an Indonesian distributor's box that has the TT logo on it. But I can't read it unfortunately.

What is probably a good idea for the community is a list of when products are end dated if this can be found from the manufacturer, the same as the Wiki pages have when a product was released. Or contacting the manufacturer with the date code on the product and asking them if it was theirs or not as they will have a record of it.

The 2013 date code seems fishy to me if there are a large number of products with the same code as it would be unlikely that quantity of parts could be made or packed and labelled in such short time, also if you wanted to imitate another product potentially a fee years after it was discontinued you'd look into things like date codes of the original products and copy them. I have seen grey imports (I think that's the term used) in other products where often the boxes then get a security seal of some type to say the contents inside are genuine, or a distributor sticker to show it originated from a particular distributor that knows the product came from the correct supplier.
Yeah idk how stuff like this world but if someone with the power to do this should suggest creating a page of legitimate and fake codes to look out for on Beyblades. It would be an extremely helpful recourse for the community and anyone interested in purchasing Beyblades.
So I bought home Beyblades from Beyblade wholesale and some of them are A0813 but some have different codes such as J1314. Are they all midfakes and should I get my money back?

I don't think so. I believe j1314 is real.
One of the beys I got from beybladewholesaler was a phantom Orion. It had the A0813 code while some other beys I ordered didn’t (as stated above). The Orion spun for 6 minutes and 35 seconds which is what I would expect from a real TT Orion. Any thoughts on this?

Thank you so much this is extremely helpful!

Also sorry for the double post but are these legit? Hasbro beys from China that have been out of production for years seem a little sketchy but idk.

Has anybody gotten a midfake beyblade from the boosters?

I have one that came without the box and I don't know if it's midfake or not. It's the a Samurai Revizer
I've been told that none of the boosters have had midfakes made, but I can't tell with mine

For as much as people call them fake for their generally lackluster quality, there's no actual proof that they are in fact fake short of poor quality control and absurdly high numbers. Realistically they are the middle ground between real and fake, hence the name "midfake", though that doesn't mean people aren't dubious of them and their flaws.

And that's where I come to this point: A midfake can perform just as well as a confirmed authentic bey. They tend to be lighter and/or have defects, but not all do. I own two midfake Variares (one in blue, one in red) and both Delta Drive tips have rounded "flat" modes that act like a smaller Ball tip as a defect. On the other hand I have a midfake Archer Gryph, and even though its Gryph wheel is rather rough its Metal Stone Face is the heaviest Zero-G bolt I own even compared to the authentic Metal Stone Face of my TT Bandid Golem. You simply happened to get one with a good bearing within your Bearing Drive tip and a layer that's well balanced enough to spin for a long time. Bearing Drive molds already fluctuate a ton, but you've managed to get a really good one even if it is a midfake.

Well at the top of my head, the other reasons are;

-The production dates don't add up in most of the claimed ones. Usually TT only produces the beys of a certain season for the first year they were introduced until some time later the year after. So stuff from 4D and Baku being made in 2013-2014 doesn't add up.
-At least two people already confirmed that these things have traces of lead.
-Flat-out using wrong molds. IIRC the one L'Drago Destroy that I bought had an FConfused that is the Sonokong mold instead of the TT one(tabs don't stick out) and DGrin's flat tip being rounded like the Bullet driver's tip instead of actually flat.

Has there been anything to prove the production dates, or is it assumed off of the last two digits?
Lead is a trace material in the zinc alloy they use, though in such minute qualities as a pollutant that it's not really a hazard. Even official beys will have very, very trace and meaningless amounts.
The incorrect molds is the only thing I see that really hints towards truly being fake that I can tell.

The last two numbers have been cosistent with the years the beys were produced, this applies to Burst too lile with all my Sparking beys having 20, all Cho-Z except Dead Phoenix and Air Knight RB being 19, etc.

Well about that.

Some guy in reddit who claims to be a seler from ThePortal0 claimed that they got their stuff from TT. You can read more about that here;

[Image: uzONzEs.jpg][Image: UEKzoA2.jpg]Here are some photos provided to me by ThePortal0.  The the Basalt on the left was purchased 10 years ago according to them. Notice the font of A0813 is different. A beytuber will be unboxing and testing these 2 beyblades in the near future.  I do think some sellers are trying to get to the bottom of things just like the buyers are.

That's an interesting thing to point out. I would like to say that I don't have any in the left font and I have bought from beysandbricks, ebay, and theportal0. As for the last sentence, I believe there is almost no way that A0813 beys can be legal.
Is there a chance that any newboy beyblades are fake? Not just takara tomy only? I got a lightning L drago with the code K2510 with the Newboy logo on it, and it came with a midfake A0813 death quetzalcoatl.
Does beyblade burst have midfakes I'm confused about it all

No, at least not that we no of at the moment. It only seems to be an issue with metal fight.

What is the difference between the two other than the number on the bottom?

It's all in the font, but what that means itself could be huge. If we believe the story of being bought ten years ago, the one on the left was purchased in 2011 (which means it was made before 2013, as people claim of any production number ending in -13). This would not only prove that theory wrong due to the item being received before its supposed creation date, but also reveal that there are some "real" AO813 Metal Fight Beyblades out there that aren't midfakes at all using this style of font and reveal it as a legitimate production stamp.

It's actually huge if there's a notable difference here in the beys inside, and may make the font more important than the numbers alone towards identifying true midfakes and clear up some of the mysteries behind the AO813 mold stamp along the way.

Mostly no one has any records of it.

But I do have ONE Beyblade Burst product with a rather questionable production code.
Are New Boy beys reliable?

New Boy is currently up in the air, all of them seem legit but some cases of K1910 are a little sus
