Metal Upper AR Question

Ok so I know there were two different molds for the Metal Upper AR (Driger MS.)

The original mold had a more squarish edge to the upper lifting ramps on the AR while the newer mold has more rounded edges.

So, my question. Is it worth going after one of the original molds or not? I never got to use one of them and I've heard that they break more easily than the newer molds.

But the potential for smash attack looks much greater on the original mold and I'd really like to try it out.
I don't think anyone uses Metal Upper for much anymore, period.
Yeah, I remember this. I too am interested in knowing how this mold compares to other smash attack ARs from the HMS gen, in terms of attacking power.

I know, I'm just saying I'd like to try it out and I'm wondering if it's worth paying the cash to get one. lol

I don't see why it isn't used anymore though; I think its an awesome AR.
Because it's not that awesome. Lips_sealed
I think I remember people calling my Hasbro Metal Upper as a "Chinese Mould", where the slopes were better for upper.

However, I don't have a Takara Metal Upper to compare. =/
Not only were the slopes more aggressive on the right spin mode, but the tiger heads weren't also as rounded off in left spin.

But no, I wouldn't try to take the time to try and track one down. Isn't worth it, IMO
