I can understand those mispronunciations, but where do they see a 'y' or an 'i' in "Hokuto", seriously ?

I think Nelvana wants 'Hoykuto' to sound Japanese. How unexpected..

I cannot say for sure but I think Orinsal is on to something. Personally I think Nelvana are trying too hard with the dub to make it as close to the Japanese version, instead of chilling to make the dub a success they are seemingly going overboard by making everything sound as Japanese as possible (well what to them sounds Japanese)
My problem with Gingka's name is the pronunciation inconsistencies. Poor guy is "Jinga" one minute and "Jenga" the next.
If they wanna keep the characters' original names then they should learn to pronounce them properly or at least come up with one consistent pronunciation. If not change the name, simple as
