Beyblade Prime 2016

London, UK - 4th June 2016

BeyDays has made its way over to London! From the festivities that started with Beyblade North 2016 in Toronto, it is now our turn to celebrate!

Now in case you were wondering what on Earth the title is on about, let me fill you in. Beyblade North 2016 has a compass and a cardinal direction as its theme. We decided to go down a similar route, meridians or lines of longitude. London happens to sit on top of the most important meridian of them all, the Prime Meridian! (Hence Beyblade Prime 2016 Grin ) Now that the geography lesson is over, let's move along shall we?

Beyblade Prime 2016
Finally...

2016
LONDON
BEYDAYS
There will be prizes this time...

Time:
The tournament itself will start at 12:00pm, so as a guide, aim to arrive for 11:30am. The Tube and public transport services are not very reliable, so plan your journey well in advance.

Location:
Regent's Park. We shall be at the Bandstand as always, but in case of congestion, we may relocate to the smaller shelter on the way to the Ready Money Drinking Fountain. Please check this thread on the day for updates or like us on Facebook for any quick location updates.

Directions:
Here is a map of Regent's Park. Click on the tab labelled "Monuments, Fountains and Statues". Head to the area marked Bandstand or in some cases, head to the Ready Money Drinking Fountain. We suggest taking the London Underground or Bus to Baker Street.

Tournament Format:
Burst Format. We will be doing Round Robin, seeing as we have a small participant pool. But hey, more battles, more fun! Block Round Robin if we get over 12 participants, so be ready for either!

Price:
Now, all participants must pay a £3 fee for the tournament. We accept cash only!
If you have a valid Blader Passport, entry is free! Blader Passports can be purchased on the day for £10 and last a whole year! Absolute bargain!

Prizes:
Sorry, no physical prizes this time, but credits and Faces will be awarded!
Oh yeah that's right! We got prizes this time! Although not the kind you may be expecting... All will be revealed on the day.

Faces and credits will be awarded and everyone will be entered into the Beylotto!

Plus, everyone who attends will receive the Face of Days VII!

Hosts and Judges:
This tournament is being hosted by Manicben, WBO mentor and tournament host. I have chosen Ultra and ClaraM (depending on numbers) to be judges this time round, due to their support and experience. If you have any queries, either here or on the day, feel free to PM Manicben or talk to one of us on the day, we would be happy to help!

Important Advice:
Despite being around friends and rivals, please remember we are in a public park. Bad behaviour and swearing will not be tolerated and will result in a ban from future events. Please keep your personal belongings with you or in a safe place while at the bandstand. If you see any personal items left around with no apparent owner, please hand it in to a judge, so we can return it to its rightful owner. Your cooperation is much appreciated.

Remember to turn up on time. If you arrive later than 12:10pm, your place will be forfeit and you will not be able to participate.

Message from the Hosts:
Stay tuned on the Revival Thread or the new WBO UK Facebook Page for more info and tournament dates!

Spread the Word!

This tournament is Burst Format.
Now, i'm in a tight situation; still keep me on the unconfirmed list for now; its juts exam season and I have 4 exams the following week so I need to revise; but I will try my best to attend; I'll keep you updated about the circumstances Ben
I am going to come and have a great time lols

I will come lets have an awesome time! See you there Tongue_out_wink
Yo, just sorting out my tickets and planning my journey so I can definitely leave and arrive on time. Seems the train journey will be just under three hours for me, so it's gonna take a bit of dedication in the morning. Leave at 8, arrive at 11; I'm really not a morning person either xD

Just to confirm; from what I can see on Google Maps, I can walk from Paddington Station to the bandstand in around twenty minutes by following a road straight down and taking a right down Baker's Street. Am I looking at that right, or am I misreading?

I believe its a left onto Baker Street. If you were on the Tube already, I'd just alight at Baker Street.
I assume your train will arrive at Paddington Station then? If you want to avoid using the Tube, then follow these directions:
https://goo.gl/maps/CyMbSELJGMN2

That will take you to the bandstand. I'll see you there at 11-11:30am.
Aha, I meant left. Not sure why I said right Tongue_out

I mentioned walking because when I looked at the tube, the Circle line is completely closed all weekend. Didn't realise the Hammersmith & City line also went between Paddington station and Baker Street (I'm clearly not one for cities, haha), so I guess it'd be just as easy for me to take that then. Just gotta make sure I know where I'm going for the right line when I get there then!

Well, you can confirm me then! All booked:

Looking forward to it! Grin
By the way, is anyone up for Deck Rotation format afterwards/after KFC? Grin
Would like to see if it could become something that can be made a regular format for ourselves.
I'm down for it. Gotta kill time before my return train anyway, plus I'm interested in seeing how it plays honestly.

Currently sat on my Paddington train! Won't be arriving until 11:15 anyway, but that should be plenty of time to make my way to the Bandstand even if the train is slightly delayed.

See you all soon! Excited to put some faces to these names, haha.
I'm not sure if I can come today since I don't have transportation from Birmingham

Could you find a way for my transport from Birmingham sorry for the trouble if you can't don't worry then I won't be able to come.
Thank You!
The weather is fine. The baby birds are chirping. The boaters are gazing at us with slightly concerned eyes. We are here. Where are you all?
Literally around the corner! At Baker Street station, won't be long!

I feel like such a tourist, haha.
