PHW stands for Pre hybrid wheel system, which refers to the First line of metal fight beyblade wheels that do not have an energy ring.

HWS: stands for Hybrid wheel system.
Stuff like Storm, Cyber, basically metal/fusion wheels that are compatible with Clear wheels/energy rings.
