Scams are very notorious on the internet, weither it is from normal items in a game, to your personal information, I will tell you about them and how to avoid them (for free).
Item scams
Scams regarding items are one of the least common scams, they normally happen in real life. They say you offer some item if you give an item, but the scammer usually steals your item and keeps the other promised item. They are the most hardest to avoid so the best bet is to stay away from them entirely.
Currency scams (Paper money)
Currency scams are less common and it is where someone says that they will give you money if you pay them, but in the end take your money. It is best to avoid them entirely like the item scams.
Virtural currecency scams
Games with Paid Currency (like Roblox and Fortnite) are prone to have spam bots saying that they will give you the game's currency for free! Just enter your account info, well it is a scam. They scammer will take your account and/or inject a virus into your device, and make your game account a walking scamming zombie. The best way to avoid them is to stay away from sites offering currency for free.
Credit Card related (the most serious)
These scams are one of the most common type of scams. Like the virtural currency scams, they offer you real money or prize winnings if you enter your credit card details. All of the time if you do enter your credit card info, the scammer shall take your identity, all of your money, and make you a nobody. These scams are normally sent by Email or Text and the best way to avoid them is to just ignore them.
