Post ideas for how a Left-Spin Metal Fight Beyblade would work.

If anyone wants to re-post their thoughts from the original topic so that they can be discussed further here, go ahead.

That would take way too much work...I think they keep the same prongs, but make it spin left instead, if that makes any sense

Or, like we said in the threads before, the left spin shooter might attach to these higher nothches on the opposite side. We just don't know yet.

I'm going with the idea that they're just restarting the entire series bit by bit which explains the right spin only Beys and crappy launcher. They probably want room for improvements later so they don't run out of ideas and could make more Beys. This could be a business approach since if they really cared, they'd keep them at the same performance level as HMS.

Again, this is a theory and I could just be crazy.

I'm confused by that though. Look at the original mold for Pegasis ... it was clearly designed to work in Left Spin.

But weren't there many 4-layer beyblades that seemed to made for left spin, when they were only made for right spin. Like Bump King, for example. They could be doing the same thing they did then.

It could be argued that Bump King wasn't designed for Left Spin. And "many"? Can you list any others?

Yes, I know. And I don't know if there really were any others, but some seemed to look like they could work better in left spin, though I don't know much about beyblade like you guys. Theres Bakushin-oh, Bump King, and Auto Change Balancer, I don't know if there are any more but what I'm saying is that there is a good chance that they will make both spin direction beyblades later.

Unlike what I posted in the "MFB its here topic", my theory is in the crapper now.

I see it like this;
Either MFB will never spin left

Or MFB with left only spinning wheels will require EXTRA stategy as the strength of a given wheel will probably be dependant on the Wheel its against.

OR everntually MFB will move on to have bi directional wheels and this is no different than four-layer generation.

I kind of agree with G, since all of the decisions they've made have been a step backwards; shooters that launch in one direction, bad RPM in the shooter, plasticgen-like winders, no WD. I think they've made it so that they've started an entirely new series with low-quality Beyblades in order to branch off the series into many others (like Plastic -> HMS).

I'd have to agree with G's theory. It makes sense that they would purposely limit the abilities of these first four MFB's so that they can "upgrade" them with future releases. Like I said in the MFB thread:

This is true, but if a Wheel could be designed to use only right spin shooters, than so can one for left spin shooters. All that would have to be done is to move the piece of metal that is blocking each side of a Wheel to the other and it would be compatible with a Left spin shooter.

Wolf's Wheel is clearly designed for left spin, so it would be really odd if they didn't include a Left Shooter with it.

Even if Takara-Tomy chooses to make Wheels compatible with one type of shooter (left/right), it would not be out of the question for them to modify the core design of the current Wheels.

But WHY clearly design Pegasis for Left Spin in the first place if that was the case!? This model was being used until fairly recently with the Right Spin shooter on display, I have a hard time believing this was a last minute decision.

I can understand it being a last minute decision. If it wasn't due to possible breakage, maybe they just decided they did not want to release left-spin right away? Take a look at the original plastics, there was 23 Beyblades in the 4-Layer Series before Dragoon S was released.

I just don't see the reasoning for arbitrarily forbidding left spin at the last moment. Preventing the original wheels from left spin doesn't do anything to improve the longevity of the game.

Yeah, that was a stupid decision. There is absolutely no justifiable reason they could have had to do that.

Actually, wouldn't be THAT much work. There were a few different moulds of the Attack Rings in certain HMS blades. Off the top of my head, DGerMS and DEMS. It'd basically be a matter of altering the die slightly.

I think Elmo makes a good point, actually. Allowing the main characters to have weak blades initially gives them at least a few seasons worth of upgrades. If Bakuten Shoot started with HMS, R&D would have a hell of a time ramping up the power of the blades continually through G-Revolution...

Spinster, while I understand planned obsolescence and don't really have much of a problem with it, this seems to limit possibilities without necessarily limiting strength.

All Pegasis Wheels have those holes, and hopefully Libra does too.

Other Wheels also have the space for that, but for some reason there is no hole in the metal ...


If they were to change the hooks of the launcher and make them thinner so they fit into those holes, wouldn't left-spin be possible ...

I wonder if a Left-Spin Shooter would fit there. Bull doesn't have those holes, but Bull doesn't seem to have been intended for Left Spin. If Pegasis was intended for Left Spin, as Brad has been saying, and only Pegasis has these holes...

It wouldn't make sense why they're still limiting Pegasis to Left-Spin, but my guess is those holes are for a Left-Spin Shooter.
