Zwei is a Layer Base released by Takara Tomy as part of the Burst System as well as the Gatchinko Layer System. It debuted in Japan with Booster Zwei Longinus Drake Spiral' Metsu on June 22nd, 2019.
==Description==
Zwei is a layer base with four blades angled downwards, however, two are larger than the others, and contain the signature metal dragons of the Longinus line. This results in an extremely hard-hitting and heavy layer base, with plenty of Smash Attack, and one of the only viable ones for Left-Spinning Attack combinations within the Gatchinko Layer System. Alongside Judgement, this ensures that Stamina combos do not dominate the landscape of the system. Zwei also has upwards smash attack, as well as rotational smash attack, due to the four downwards-facing blades on the layer base, allowing it to reduce the Stamina of the opposing combination effectively. While it does not offer a burst stopper like Judgement, it does not wear as much, and it is ideal for Left-Spinning Attack. Also, unlike Judgement, Zwei is almost exclusively good on Rubber attack tips, and cannot use stationary tips well at all.
==Overall==
Zwei is one of the best parts for Attacking combinations in the Gatchinko Layer System, curbing the relevance of Left-Spinning Stamina combos in the format. Therefore, it is a must-have for competitive bladers in the context of the Gatchinko Layer System. However, the advent of heavier and better layers for attack, including Guilty, renders all Gatchinko Layer System Layer Bases outclassed in Standard. Therefore, for Standard, Zwei is recommended for collection purposes only.
