LRF Discussion

C145 is trash for attack and Meteo definitely isn't the best left-spinning bey we have.

@Momiji: I'm looking for:
MF Lightning LDrago 100/CH120LRF vs. MF/-H Earth Bull/Libra/Basalt Bull GB145/BD145/230 CS/RS/RSF
and then compare those results with R2F tests respectively.
It is a lot of testing, but I hope more than one person, being you, could pitch in as my LRF was bitten up by my brother.. ; 3;

I'm sure he had the idea of using C145 for attack so any low attacks could be nullified or at least weaker from the contact with the claws of C145.

True but he has his own thread for it and I am looking for more traditional combos right now as people are more comfortable with it and know typical results for those beys. (i.e MF Lightning LDrago 100LRF)

Sorry for the necro, but I just did comparison tests between R²F and LRF on Lightning L-Drago

MF Lightning L-Drago CH145R²F VS MF-H Basalt Kerbecs 230CS
Standard Procedures
Lighting L-Drago Win Rate - 20% (2KOs)

MF Lightning L-Drago CH145LRF VS MF-H Basalt Kerbecs 230CS
Standard Procedures
Lighting L-Drago Win Rate - 30% (3KOs)

It seems that LRF is slightly better than R²F on left-spinning Beys due to slightly more speed. I'll test Gravity Perseus soon.

Edit: And Meteo L-Drago. Though I don't know which mode is which...
Apr. 16, 2011  1:21 PM

Use the golden/barrage mode for MLD.
Thanks man!

I own the BB-98 version, so which color should the heads be covering?

And, I heard that Attack Perseus is good. Should I use it?
Apr. 16, 2011  2:35 PM

Use absorb (purple and white CW) and use the blue mode for it. (or black if your using the red version.)
Apr. 16, 2011  2:50 PM

Dan, which defense bey do you want me to test against?
Apr. 16, 2011  2:57 PM

MF-H Basalt/Libra Bull/Kerbecs BD145/230CS/RS/RSF.

Any combination of those parts is fine.
Apr. 16, 2011  3:00 PM

OK, I got the results.

MF Meteo L-Drago CH145R²F VS MF-H Basalt Kerbecs 230CS
Standard Procedures
Meteo L-Drago Win Rate - 60% (5KOs, 1OS)

MF Meteo L-Drago CH145LRF VS MF-H Basalt Kerbecs 230CS
Standard Procedures
Meteo L-Drago Win Rate - 70% (6KOs, 1OS)

Again, tests show that LRF is slightly superior to R²F on left-spinning Beys.

Edit: When I'm going to do Perseus tests, should I use normal Perseus or Attack Perseus?
Apr. 16, 2011  3:40 PM

Normal since that is the most common one that people will have.
Apr. 16, 2011  3:48 PM

Cool, my earlier tests showed a 10% difference too.. :V Shame my LRF is no longer usable.

My LRF is starting to get worn out too... But why would your brother bite it?
Apr. 16, 2011  6:34 PM

I have no clue, it happened to quite a lot of my tips.. Why, LRF, why?!
Ah well, now I have to get it to the top-tier list. :V
Apr. 16, 2011  6:56 PM

Gravity Results are basically the same as Lightning and Meteo...

MF Gravity Perseus D125R²F VS MF-H Basalt Kerbecs 230CS
Standard Procedures
Gravity Perseus Win Rate - 60% (6KOs)

MF Gravity Perseus D125LRF VS MF-H Basalt Kerbecs 230CS
Standard Procedures
Gravity Perseus Win Rate - 70% (6KOs, 1OS)

Edit: Do we need RF comparison tests?
Apr. 17, 2011  2:38 AM

A ten percent difference is very, very minute though, especially since you are only doing ten tests. That is essentially a one chance on two for one match to be won or lost. You would need to do a lot more tests to see if at least the scores vary more, because right now R²F and LRF seem to perform essentially the same.
Apr. 17, 2011  3:40 AM

Very true, Guessing one of you has to do some hard testing for me. (Accurate, 20-30 rounds per match up.) Anyone up for that?
Apr. 17, 2011  3:48 AM

And if they are pretty much equal in performance, then it should also be added to right spin combos on the list from the heavens(competitive MFB combos).

Unless people think that that would mean there would be right spin tests that are necessary as well?

I'll do it, but my LRF is starting to get pretty worn...

Edit: Wait, only for LLD or for GP and MLD too?
Apr. 17, 2011  6:15 AM

Dan, here. 30 rounds of tests.

MF Gravity Perseus R145LRF (Counter Mode, Left Spin) VS MF-H Basalt Aquario 230CS
MF Gravity Perseus: 17 wins (0 OS, 17 KO)
MF Basalt Aquario: 13 wins (13 OS, 0 KO)
Win Percentage: 56% [Unsure about the Percentage]

Short test here:

MF Lightning L-Drago T125LRF (Upper Mode) Vs MF-H Basalt Aquario 230CS
MF Lightning L-Drago: 6 wins (0 OS, 6 KO)
MF-H Basalt Aquario: 4 wins (4 OS, 0 KO)
1 Draw
Win Percentage: 60%

Should i do comparison with Metal Flat?
Apr. 17, 2011  6:20 AM

OK, I did some comparison tests.

MF Lightning L-Drago CH145R²F VS MF-H Basalt Kerbecs 230CS
Standard Procedures
Lightning L-Drago Win Rate - 8% (2KOs)

MF Lightning L-Drago CH145LRF VS MF-H Basalt Kerbecs 230CS
Standard Procedures
Lightning L-Drago Win Rate - 36% (9KOs)

Edit: Should I do Gravity Perseus and Meteo L-Drago?
Apr. 17, 2011  12:57 PM

Azlan: Round it to 57%, as it is something like 56.6666667.
As for Metal Flat, I see no use to it since they are of different construction, really. (acting different, I believe?)
If you can, do Gravity R145R²F for a comparison.

Mr.N: I think Azlan has Gravity down, so if you have some spare time etc, do MLD.
Apr. 17, 2011  2:45 PM

Hmm, R2F on Left Spin is hard to control. It tends to Self-Ko alot. I will try though

OK, I'll do it today.

Edit: Azlanslayer It should be easier to control unless your R²F and LRF are on different degrees of wear.
Apr. 17, 2011  6:14 PM

OK, I just tested with Meteo L-Drago. The difference between LRF and R²F isn't that much.

MF Meteo L-Drago CH145R²F VS MF-H Basalt Kerbecs 230CS
Standard Procedures
Meteo L-Drago Win Rate - 68% (9KOs, 8OSs)

MF Meteo L-Drago CH145LRF VS MF-H Basalt Kerbecs 230CS
Standard Procedures
Meteo L-Drago Win Rate - 76% (10KOs, 9OSs)

I hope this is enough to get LRF into the top-tier list.
Apr. 19, 2011  2:43 PM

ill get some tests up ASAP, its Gravity, LLD, MLD, and Right spins right
