If you could change or add one thing to the WBO ...

Kai-V made my day, I was getting depressed reading this. I have loled, and rofled, and lmaoed at this..at the same time..in a fetal position.

Anyway, can't a mod, or someone else just say that it's spam, and to add more content or it gets closed overtime if something like that happens?
Kai-V, when are you posting your next chapter? Your story is amazing.

I'm just tossing ideas out there. Feel free to build off of it.
"i have a lot of homework to do right now but i should be able to write the next part in one hour but i have no imagination so im accepting characters"

I just think there are no clear criteria we can ask for in such a thing as art. Of course in my world there would only be extremely meaningful pieces, but I am aware that it is very difficult for some people to do that. And yet, that is "art" as well.
Perhaps only completed work should be worth a topic and then have a sticky for idea contribution?
Only completed work ? But then what do you do with good stories that do take a long time to write because the chapters are long ? You cannot expect a story to be finalised before long, and constructive criticism is important from the beginning, because you do not want to continue on a bad path.
Then maybe do chapter one like, a full novel chapter, not a few paragraphs.

I don't know, I just feel like it's not even worth posting in that forum anymore because it doesn't feel like a serious forum and trust me, I'd love to utilize that forum.
Well Dei, don't let others ruin what you want to do then. Just post and tell specifically in your post that you do not want spam and anything else you do not want
The problem is not that though. Her topic would probably get ignored among the mass of more popular but relatively 'poorer' artwork, and she would never get the criticism she deserves and wants.

That is assuming her art would be better than the others' ... I do not think I have ever seen any to properly judge.

pretty much this. any serious critics probably won't post in that forum because they don't take it seriously.

my art isn't anything amazing, it's just a side hobby.

I know you're a very talented writer. I was hoping that you'd share your take on the state of that forum.
Honestly, I share a lot of your criticisms of the Your Creations board.

Unfortunately, I don't think many (if any) of them can be corrected. Moderating a forum like that takes a certain balance, because at what point are we to step in and say "Hey, this is bad, don't post stuff like this"?

That's stifling to any sort of creativity, and could potentially cause people to feel like they should stop writing/creating in general. That's not our goal or our aim; if people want serious criticism on their work, they probably already know that the Your Creations forum on a Beyblade board targeted to young teens and under isn't the best place to get that sort of critique.

I only post my writing here because it reaches a lot of people, and just generally because I enjoy sharing. I'm not looking for someone to come in and critique my work to pieces; if I were, like I said previously, I certainly wouldn't be looking for it here.

That's not a slam against the overall level of quality of creations in that forum, it's just a matter of expectations. You can't expect "high brow art" out of people of this age, or for them to be able to offer a creative opinion of that caliber either.

... What ? What are you suggesting ?
I think we should not allow those Yugioh for Beyblade threads. I mean, this is a beyblade forum. I don't think anyone wants to trade their beyblades for yugioh cards anyway.

I have looked at all those threads, and almost NO ONE ever got a successful trade of yugioh cards for Beyblades. I think it only happened one time. I trade/sell my yugioh cards, but I do it on a yugioh forum (Well it's not really yugioh forum, but it has a section for yugioh)
People do have some freedom right?
I bet there are a lot of people who would do that trade, you just need the right cards.
As long as the only possibility for them to get rid of their cards involves Beyblades, then it is fine for me.
I'd like to know the criteria of becoming an "authorized dealer". I have a friend who is perfect to being added to the position.
Contact me and tell me who they are then.
I Would definitely change the warning system , mistakes happen people get confused in posting & small spams like in favorite movie thread people should get a temporary warning instead of the ones that never go away & well spam is technically malicious things or a word stretched likes thanks with s stretched to 30-40 times , i feel the strictness should be changed for a new member it is not always easy to fit in & the warning level makes it that much tough so the forum some times does not feel that welcoming & frankly speaking i don't know why there is so much hate for one word posts [ spam as you guys call it ] , on other forums it is really easy to adjust , not to name but i really like
, if the openness is provided , then people naturally get along well & the spammers [ the real ones who do bad stuff ] get banned , i personally lke that forum architecture , where you are free to behave like you are but in a good manner , naturally on that forum also no one says bad words , still there are arguments , but proper ones that make the atmosphere fun & everyone helps each other alot , many of my designing skills have been improved by the friends on that forum

Anyway i love the WBO as much as the other forum but still i would like it to be a bit peaceful around here with less tensions of getting permanent warnings for the things people's confusions , WBO Would have a lot more members by now if the warning system wasn't this strict , & this is the fact i am amazed that Kai-V is becomming so popular that most of the newcomers know who she is & what she does , i also browsed this website for 2-weeks before joining but , i even didn't know that much about the members

The warning system is kinda giving a bad vibe according to me , although it might be just me many people may disagree with me , but it's like school again with the warnings acting as teachers scolding someone for not that much of a big deal

I disagree, the warning system is actually good. There is another forum i use (cannot say, break WBO rule(s) if i do) and their report system is actually more in depth compared to WBO's. One of their option clearly states "SPAM, The post contains spam, referrals or one-liners." The only difference is that they allow one liner spams like "thanks" (file sharing forum) so it bumps thread and shows appreciation that the link works, etc; but just like the WBO they disallow necro bumps. These are professional forum rules.

Also, since it is a children's forum it is initially good to scold them. This will teach them how to write proper sentences, etc. and increase their knowledge. So in the long run, the admins are doing them a favour.
By the way, SPAM is Short/Stupid, Pointless, Annoying Messages. I think everything we mark as SPAM is justified.
I think there should be a "rate my combo thread".
We already have a top-tier thread and if you find a good combo, you post a thread about it where others test it out..

At least you have to agree that warning should be classified in levels like low & high , high level spam should get a high warning & low level spam should get a temporary warning
