Since i couldn't find a similar topic anywhere...
When i was much younger and Beyblades first came out, I was fascinated by them. My parents would not allow them (dubbing them "too violent"*, so I would watch people battle after school in daily mini-tournaments.
One afternoon I saw one blader who stood out from the rest. He was a sixth grader who had never lost a match. I saw his blade shred his opponents' and, naturally, congradulated his victories.
He said, "Wanna battle? Where's your blade?" After telling him I didn't own one, he reached into his pocket and pulled out 2 new blades and a launcher. He handed me one, a Dranzer S, and clicked the second new blade in his launcher. The blade that he had used in the previous battle he just threw on the ground and crushed it into dust. Only the faded gray weight disk was left unscathed. Then he turned away and just left. I said "Wait! what's your name?" and he said to "Just call him Kai"**
I watched him leave as I took the abandoned weight disk. And I thought from then on that something inside me was going
to be a little bit*** different****.
*I know, I know, what were they thinking?!
**I later learned his REAL name was Mitch
***"bit". its a pun, get it???
****True story.
