Well, it's not just me, as there are other Louisiana Beyblade communities in Baton Rouge and New Orleans for example that have also been doing meetups and tournaments lately as well. But it's definitely been much more active nowadays compared to when I first moved here in July 2020, which is great and I'm thankful to have been a part of it.

This post will contain information about a recent Local (Non-WBO) Beyblade X Tournament I attended on Saturday, March 21st, 2026.

I'm really glad I had the opportunity to attend the 1st Annual Bayou Championship 2026 and I wanted to give a huge thanks to ThiccBoi to hosting the event, cypress' mom for helping arrange a carpool so several of us can go (I live 2 hours away from the venue and while I can drive, I wasn't 100% sure if my car would run smoothly for that kind of journey going and coming lol), the Bladers who judged in addition to ThiccBoi and I (cypress, Brenanaz, and Kaialyst), and everyone who was able to have an opportunity to come out to this as well!

This tournament had a few firsts for me. It was not only the first Beyblade Tournament I attended in Louisiana that wasn't in Lafayette where I currently live (as mentioned above, it was in Lutcher), but it was also the first Local (Non-WBO) Beyblade Tournament I attended. I'm also really glad I could assist ThiccBoi with this tournament, as using Challonge was a big help over the normal pen and paper ThiccBoi uses for his tournaments. For those unaware, Challonge is a tournament bracket platform that I have prior experience using due to the WBO along with other competitive stuff I've been in.

Interesting Things I Saw That I Want To Share: Some Bladers in attendance who used OrochiCluster, both the red and blue releases of AeroPegasus, and even Hasbro's release of SharkScale (Scale Shark)!
