Did you? Why do you think so?

we've found out that the slopes make the layers harder to burst
combine that with odin, and you get the poster boy of overpoweredness

Except this doesn't factor in how the other Hasbro Layers perform relative to it.

Perhaps there is still hope for a bigger presence acknowledgement during the weekend, since a Thursday afternoon is clearly not the most popular day?

I like that they changed Valkyrie's color's for this set definitely getting this when it comes to the US.

however the stadium still looks like garbage, probably worse than the blue one since it's got 4 pockets.

I like the set. Stadium 'looks' better than the blue one, but Idk.

my thought with the stadium was more pockets = quicker battle's which is kinda lame considering they made the bey's harder to burst (ik Hasbro made bursting harder for safety reasons)

I only really like the Valkyrie/Valtryek in the rival battle set cause its more anime accurate, plus not a fan of the blue with that red-ish orange color on the wings

Yo, just noticed that. If Hasbro does more of these, then I'd just save up for them.
And I hope that Valtryek is the reinforced one...

But hey, those stadiums look rad!

ok well in that case yes Valtryek is pretty nice.

Just chiming in to quickly note that the harder bursting mechanic is nothing to do with safety. I'd like to see this notion put to bed quietly before is spreads. It's actually just about the wear-and-tear of the teeth. In the western world, this will get you a refund. Hasbro cannot afford that kind of publicity, let alone the costs to retailers.

It is also worth nothing that the cover on the Takara-Tomy Burst Stadium was also never a safety consideration. It's just to stop the parts flying everywhere ALL the time. A couple of loose parts flying away every so often is not a big issue in this regard. But if safety really were the issue, we'd all be using Destroyer Domes.

There has never been any evidence to suggest these design features have anything to do with safety. No offence meant, just wanted to clarify for all.

I agree. I also suspect that Hasbro doubted that the market would want to see Beyblades burst that much. And I kinda agree. After a few too many double burst ties at home I tend to stop playing. DBF happens all the time in tournaments too. It's just frustrating.

I don't know, lately it doesn't feel like they've been happening too often during the actual round. If anything, a Beyblade bursting after it has won due to hitting a wall or a stray Disk from its opponent is more common than DBF.

And I haven't done a ton of testing yet, but I feel like the reason Hasbro Beyblades don't seem to burst as much is due to the low RPM launchers they're packaged with. When pyrus10000, 1234beyblade, and I were testing them with Long Winder + Light Launcher at Fan Expo the other day, bursting was more common.

In any case, yeah, the new sliding mechanism was definitely implemented due to durability concerns more than anything.
Double Burst Finish

Double Burst Finish.

Sorry, I shouldn't use abbreviations. I had a totally opposite experience Scott, especially with D2 Vs. D2 situations, but not just those. I just find it happens way too often and honestly even one is frustrating.

Interesting! Again didn't see too many today at our Toronto event, and even in a D2 mirror match between Mitsu and I, there were no double Burst Finishes. But I guess it can vary so much depending on how worn down the opposing Layers teeth are and so many other factors ...

Very true. By the way, what do you think from what you have seen is the burst rate.
Well, my D2 was brand new lol
I know this question has already been answered, most likely several times, but i cant seem to remember the answer. Hasbro beyblades are currently a TRU exclusive and have only been spotted in Canada, correct?

Yes.
Hasbro hype all over again. Really can't wait for them to come. Can anybody post more test results or something. Hato is your Valtryek v2 still okay?

I was just assigned some tests from our overlord @[Kei], as were others, so stay tuned.
What interests me ATM is that, theoretically, Hasbro beys could burst from lots of tiny hits, whereas TT ones would need hits of a certain minimum strength to overcome the teeth.

Well, since it is much harder for Hasbro beys to Burst, yes, it probably needs for small hits to be ongoing in order to 'chip out' the slopes. It makes sense. But it could be true, both ways.
