[Guide]  theflightyellz's guide to fakes and searching.

Sorry for bumping this but,has anyone noticed how Rapidity's fake beys look kind of legit compared to other fakes?
They look a lot better than Hasbro's Burst in fact, which is embarassing for them. But I guess they don't even care, as long there is a quick buck to make.
Anyone else found a fake by HyToys? I found out who they are but I've never found any info about their fakes
Heh, I used to have a lot of fakes until I realized the difference. But I got real ones now! Only two fakes though. Galaxy Pegasus and a customized L-Drago.
Fake duel layers are a thing now.
Hasbro's Beyblades are basically fake; they look awful, are a bit different, and are sold with random parts instead of the original drivers.

I'm not gonna lie, this fake Z2 looks better than anything Hasbro will ever release.

I never thought that we would come to the point where Rapidity is doing a better job than Hasbro. What a shame.
There's fake then there's starter storm sagitario with a flame sagitario picture and kai with crappy graphics as the blader on the box.

P.s. Are tt Hongi blades really that bad. I just think that it sucks to have a fake as* engine gear and launcher/ripcord. But otherwise the parts look genuine and are quite cheap. Might as well buy the beys for the parts and then buy a seperate real engine gear and launcher etc.
Yes, fakes are really that bad. They're more fragile than official products, often have wrong or non-working parts, and by purchasing from them, you are supporting the fake companies...

No worries I don't purchase these but I always see them on eBay so I was a bit curious as to if their parts were similar etc. Gotta admit they'd be good for test battling. So u can keep ur legit blades In mint condition.

I'd like to interject. Fakes are generally way worse, or in certain cases, way better than the actual parts, so we can't get an objective opinion on a parts performance. Also, even if they did, they break a lot easier too, and that's just wasting money at this point.
Are Xbey Customs fake, because some of the customs look really cool

I can't find them on eBay right now, but I do remember seeing them sold by johnmiller, who only sells counterfeits. So yes, they are fake, and are illegal to use in WBO sanctioned tournaments.

Can somebody tell me what is going on here?

Looks like a real pre hybrid wheel dx set
Man, I wonder if the Pegasis inside is like the one on the box...

Not "pre-Hybrid Wheel" : the system has a real name, and it is "Metal System". It existed independently of the Hybrid Wheel System, so there is no reason to refer to that second system all the time.

But yes, that looks like a legitimate Sonokong product, no?

It's a sonokong product and as far as I know about them, they are officially real. However that price feels hella expensive.

Yup, nicely spotted. My feeling is that you're not getting a prototype pegasis for your money here. And yet there it is, clearly pictured all over the box. I was not around when this set was released - was it normal to use box art of proto-pegasis even though the bey inside was actually not the same?

I'm posting this because pirate manufacturers sometimes steal and produce pirate products based on prototype moulds of legitimate products. This happened with the hexbug prototypes and a lot of those knockoffs were quite cool. Proto-pegasis did see at least one production run - so those moulds do exist out there somewhere. If this product were a "fake" then I might wonder if there was indeed a "fake" proto-pegasis inside.

I assume I assume too much?
The Japanese original BB-09 version of the box is the same, there is really nothing to worry about...

Nuts. That proto-pegasis is always two steps ahead of me.
I messaged the seller and he sent me this picture of the contents:

Not surprising considering Sonokong always released Beyblades after Takara-Tomy. We can always dream though lol.
When you think about it, it wouldn't be that hard to mod one of those ultra-common black Pegasis by removing the reinforced part, with a Dremel or a similar tool.
