Chapter 1:

The wind was rustling through the leaves in the trees. Though it was hard to notice over the sound of our beyblades, of course. With Launcher in one hand, and Ripcord in the other, we begin to recite the chant;
"3! 2! 1! Let it Rip!" My blade; Draciel Gravity; zoomed into the blader dish among 3 other blades.
"Ha! You're using that blade again?" Said an overconfident kid. Of course I only lost to one of the best bladers in the world.
"He lost to the United States champion!" Said my friend to back me up, "Dimwit." Our blades kept revolving around the blader dish, with Draciel heading straight on for the center. I could tell that it was almost time to use my engine gear attack.
"Draciel! Bombard attack!" I screamed at the top of my lungs. With Draciel being a balance type, it was still able to show excerpts of power if hit using a 'turtle shell'. With a blast of fresh water spraying into the stadium by Draciel, all of my opponent's blades stopped spinning, and I won.
"How did you get water in your bey?" Ask the confident kid, "How did you beat me?"
"Long story, kid." I muttered while walking away. It was finally time for me to head home.
"So we meet again." I looked behind me, only seeing the street and kids playing 'Kick the Can'. I heard the sound of dozens of people loading a beyblade launcher, but I was unable to see any bladers near me.
Then the voice said, "Look again, Zen." Unable to see the person, or people, talking to me, a cold shiver fell down my back.
"Alright, who is this?" I yelled. The wind started to pick up, and the temperature dropped a large amount of heat. I looked around me, only seeing leaves being flung around.
"Who do you think?" Said the voice. Out of nowhere, a kid, maybe 5 years older than me, popped out. "Nice seeing 'yah!" The boy lifted his hoodie-covered head to reveal his face, and I was able to see who he truly was.
"Tate? Nice to see you buddy!" I said trying not to disturb anybody at rest.
"Yeah, yeah, yeah. Skip the greetings already and battle me." Tate said without any emotions what-so-ever.
"Huh? You traveled from New York down to Florida just to battle me?" I asked. I was very confused. "Well, I have to go home. I'll battle you in the morning."
"Why not battle in the dark?" He asked. I definitely wanted to battle him, just not when I couldn't see nor control Draciel.
"I.. I don't know." I responded.
9 hours passed, and the water's darkness was relieved by the morning sunlight, reflecting right into my eye. *Tap Tap Tap* I was awoken by a noise and looked out the window. Of course Tate had to be standing there.
"Wakey wakey! Over night I made a nice little Sand-Stadium so we can battle! Come on!" I got out of bed, and closed the curtains. I ran down the stairs to get some Cuban-style eggs and biscuits. Right as the microwave stopped beeping, I grabbed my food and ran outside to the beach, where of course, Tate Ingram and his team; The White Knights; were waiting for me.
"Thought you never make it." Said Cam, a constantly losing team member said.
"Do you mind shutting up, Cam?" Yelled Tate, obviously getting annoyed.
"So tell me, why did you fly all the way down here to battle me?" I asked, still anxiously curious.
"You didn't hear?" Said Kate, an original member of the White Knights. She handed me some papers and said,"This flyer was given to Tate after winning the New York tournament. Read it."
"What?" I couldn't believe that I had the chance to be one of the electives from Tate! "You chose me instead of one of your own teammates?" I asked.
"I haven't yet. I also have not decided the fate of any of them involving this team." Tate responded.
"Well, except me. Tate and I keep repetitively tie with stadium outs." Said Kate.
"So in that case, Zen, I will have you battle Cam, to determine the 3rd member of Team Prosperous White Knights!"
And the chant began, "3! 2! 1! Let it Rip!"
Cam's bey went zooming into the blader's dish, faster than any bey I have ever seen before. As for me, Draciel kept trying to maintain balance before a quick and easy win.
"Dragoon, hit him full on! Hammer attack!" Called Cam as his beyblade; which appeared to be a Dragoon G; rammed Draciel multiple times. With the power of Draciel, Dragoon could not last long if this kept up.
"Heh." I snickered.
"What's so funny? I wouldn't think losing is funny!" Cam teased, looking up at me awaiting my response.
"That you wouldn't mind a defeat." I said. "Look down."
Cam did as I commanded, and saw his own blade knocked out, still taking hits from Draciel.
"What? That's impossible! You.. You cheated!" Cam yelled while charging straight at me.
"Calm down Cam." Spoke Tate, looked the slightest bit surprised. "You can still be our supporter and back-up in the United States World Championships, which is almost as important as being a member of the team." Cam calmed down and accepted his defeat.

Dear Tate Ingram, the BBA has decided for you to elect 2 other friends to form a team in the United States Tournament. There will be 2 teams competing, which will be the East and the West team. You, among the 2 friends you elect, will come up with a new and creative name. Also, please elect members that are almost as good as you, or as good as you, to be the lucky members of the East United States team.

President of the BBA
