Tournament Matches  - https://worldbeyblade.challonge.com/Grea...Burst_23_2

Hello London! Get excited because we're continuing our summer event series: The Great British Burst 2023! I look forward to seeing old and new players come along, and seeing some of the us British players rising up the WBO ranks. There will also be an announcement for the rules variations we will be playing with in the August events!

Below are some rules clarification, using the new clauses, which were not always the most clear.
Please be advised that this tournament will make use of the following Ranked Clauses in addition to, or in place of, rules listed in the Format Rulebook:
All Dual Spin Parts
  • The mode of any dual-spin Layer must be selected during the Beyblade Selection phase before submitting it to the judge for inspection.
  • After a combination has been submitted for inspection, the mode of a dual-spin part cannot be changed for the duration of the match.
Part Attachments (e.g. Xtend+ Chip, Xceed Chip, Zone Chip, DB/BU Gears)
  • Part Attachments (excepting Armor Tips) cannot be removed from a Beyblade for the duration of a match once it has been submitted to the judge for inspection.
  • If an attachment comes off during battle, the opponent is awarded 1 point.

This will be a ranked event played in the Burst Standard format the rulebook is linked here - Burst Standard Rulebook. It is highly recommended to use the latest Takara Tomy beyblades.
The first stage will be played with the 1on1 format. The final stage will be played in the 3on3 format. For clarification refer to Match Type Guide. It is necessary to bring at least 3 beyblades for the final stage.
We will be playing in the burst standard type beystadium.

This event will have a 30 player cap.

Time
The tournament itself will start at 12:00pm, so as a guide, aim to arrive before 11:45am. The Tube and public transport services are not very reliable, so plan your journey well in advance.

Remember to turn up on time. If you arrive later than the scheduled start time, your place will be forfeit and you will not be able to participate. If you know you'll be late, please let us know via PM or a post in this thread and we will try to accomodate!

Please note that we cannot predict how long an event will be, as this varies based on the number of competitors and the ongoings throughout the day. In order to stay for the whole event, please be prepared to stick around for at least 5-6 hours.

Location
We are playing at Geek Retreat Holloway. Here is a link to their location on Google Maps. There will be a £5 venue fee for this event paid directly to the store upon arrival.

Prizes
The top 3 will receive Prize Vouchers at this event provided by the Geek Retreat to be used at their store. 1st will receive £15, 2nd will receive £10 and 3rd will get £5 (Subject to change based on attendance).

Hosts & Judges
This tournament is being hosted by Sowmi and co hosted by RazzorC92, and matches will be supported by volunteer judges throughout the event. If you have any queries about the event, feel free to PM us or post in the thread and we'll be happy to help!
RazzorC92 will also have limited stock for people to buy if that interests anyone. To know more message them directly.

Important Advice
Despite being around friends and rivals, please remember we are in a public area. Bad behaviour and swearing will not be tolerated and may result in a ban from future events.

Please keep your personal belongings with you. If you see any personal items left around with no apparent owner, please hand it in to the host so we can return it to its rightful owner. Your cooperation is very much appreciated.

Glad to see London still getting events. I am in the process of getting Beyblade X tournaments started in a couple of shops in NW London, so hopefully people are interested in getting involved with that too.
