Deck Played Today: Gladiator Beasts.

Tournament Report: 3-2 in my favor.

Round 1: GB's vs. X-Sabers; I won this 2-1. My friend who was playing them didn't do too well because he drew terribly in the first and last round, but I got pummeled slowly in the second round. I didn't even Contact Fuse that much.

Round 2: GB's vs. Weird Synchro Build; I won this 2-0. I don't need to elaborate too much on this.

Round 3: GB's vs. Tengu Plants; I lost this 0-2. I didn't draw any of my Monsters in both rounds that were played, and when I did, I drew into Murmillo and Retiari when he was figuratively staring at me coldly with his first Tengu and a Trishula on the field. The second round wasn't much better either.

Round 4: GB's vs. Blackwings; I won this 2-1. My opponent destroyed me in the first round with Armed Wing and Bora on the field. I came back shortly after; the two rounds were won with ease.

Round 5: GB vs. Light Gemini Beat; I lost this 0-2. Both rounds, I started off decently, but I finished off losing. The last round was quite tense, too. If I won, I would've topped, but bleh. Long story short, I hate Snowman Eaters and Neos Alius.....

Just got back from LOLcals. I went 3-1 into top 8, won my top 8 match against Dragunity and then split top 4 for $22.50 in store credit. So good.

Played Blackwings, as usual.

Dude I played 5 online matches today on WC 2011, and I got my carp handed to me. I am SO out of the game. I haven't played in so long, I'm not used to all these newer cards :\ At least I got some online credits, I got like 22. Know what I hate about Watt monsters? 2 freaking Watthoppers. If you don't have a card that can destroy monster cards with an effect/trap/magic card you're screwed lol.

I'm probably way late in this, but yeah.

Don't be depressed. It took FOREVER for me to get back into the loop, and even now, I don't normally run the best decks. I'd suggest that you pick one archetype/deck to use for now. Blackwings or Gladiator Beast, maybe?

Aww yeah! *High fives* This is what keeping with Blackwings gets you, $22.50 store credit! What do you plan to get with your store credit?

I usually rent a Blackwing deck on the game, but I'm pretty decent with them. Their effects are understandable, all the other types of cards are a lot harder, and not as powerful XD

Also, I hate carp chains now. Someone activates Trap Hole, I use Mystical Space Typhoon, and yet my monster still gets destroyed. What. The. Hell.

That has nothing to do with chains... Mystical Space Typhoon does not negate effects.

Yeah, as I said before, my rules are still rusty as hell. I re-read the rules, and I get it, but I mean UGH. At least WC 2011 will get me back into the game, haha.

For a while, I haven't been catching up to YGO, but after getting WC2011, I'm back, I'm still a little rusty though.

Does anybody use Tyrant cards?
Most of you might have not even heard of them i'm sure.
Other then having amusing pictures
they seem to be pretty useful cards.

There's 5
Tyrant's : Desperation, Overindulgence, Temper, Tirade and Violence.

Has anybody used any of them?
Is there a place for any of them in any deck?

I went to another locals earlier today. Went 2-1 in swiss, made top 8 and lost in the first round of top. It was kind of garbage and I would have won had I not misplayed, but I think it had a lot to do with the fact that I'm still getting used to/learning my new deck, which is...

Yup, you read that right. I think the deck is going to be a dark horse deck of the rest of this format and the upcoming September format, so I got the stuff for it (and damn cheap, too).

Hrm... My Morphtronics/Genex deck isn't so bad. Though it IS having some major issues with Blackwings, but that's nothing another R-Genex Locomotion can't fix. Though I HAVE been relying on Thermal a bit too much, I'll have to dig out Vindikite soon.

Staplen. It's pretty good with Boarden in attack position, as I get free attacks, and opposing monsters can do nothing about it. However, I have yet to pull off a Boarden OTK. Meh, don't need to. Ally of Justice: Decisive Armor and Field Marshal help out the cause as well, though Decisive Armor isn't much more than a beatstick usually. (Ah, the poor fairy decks from the last tournament I went to.)

Oh yeah! Nice! The final super rare card for the Leviathan tin was announced! It's Beast King Barbaros! Konami more than made up for GS4. These tins are beast! <-see what I did there? What do you guys think? I'm gonna need to but, like, two of each tin lol!

Sweet! I won't be using it, but still, it's nice! At least one of each tin, definitely!

Also, what are thoughts on HASE? I mean, it comes with either Emmersblade or Pineapple, plus three packs. I think it's a good buy, but you all...?

So Kevin Tewart stated in a drunken (?) Facebook post that Sangan and Tengu would work when detached from an Xyz.

That post has been taken down.

I really, really, really hope it's not true.

Oh god, it makes sense, but still, good god. I have an embarrassing report from locals, I lost 0-3, 1. was Six Sams (That's normal.) 2. was Frog Tengu Monarch Plants (Again, normal.) 3. This is where it get's embarrasing, I lost to Noobwings. Running 2-3 Mistrals, Ordeal of a Traveller, probably running SORL, She didn't even know what most of her cards did, She specialed a Bora and was about to search from Whirlwind, it was ridiculous. I have decided to drop a Vayu for an Armageddon Knight, plan to drop something else for another when I get one.

I did quite good today (for once). 1st game I 2-1'd Six Sam's, 2nd I was overwhelmed by psychic 2-0 and last game I played the local boss and actually won 2-0 against his Sams, he drew extremely bad.

It doesn't make sense, though. It was already ruled that Xyz materials don't exist on the field in OCG.

I don't see why they would change it in TCG, because it creates such a large imbalance.

Tell me, are the new XYZ cards worth getting? I saw the new deck with them today, and I have no clue how they work, can anyone shed any light on them? Confused
