i do this too, and it helps me sleep SO much better at night. no more of me waking up in the middle of the night or staying up late in bed wide awake
I usually get the bus home from school but I've begun getting off half way and jogging the rest. The first day was very hard but after that it became a lot easier. ^^

EDIT: Oh, I also stopped sleeping 'til 1pm. Not sure if this is really health related in any way but it's nice to have a longer day. =]
Guys, this is going to sound stupid, but do you guys have any ideas on how to gain healthy weight? I've lost like 5-6 lbs since the summer and I'm starting to get worried since I haven't been at this weight since 6th grade (I was quite the husky child). I'm sure I'm not eating as much as I should to support my workout. I'm possibly burning more calories than taking in more? Would like multiple meals work better throughout the day? I usually just eat 2-3 times daily.

I'd go protein whey, but that breaks out my skin hxc.
Heya G, i know this is a pretty late reply. Mods feel free to wipe it out if it's seen as spam.
It's possible to gain decent weight without binging on unhealthy food through a weight program called GOMAD. Basically, gallon of milk a day + exercise to get you about 25-30 pounds of weight in 4 weeks.

Also, if whey protein isn't for you, you could try egg white isolate. Casein protein every night would also possibly benefit. slower digestion, so good to take before hitting bed, replace the cals lost during sleep. Smile

most bodybuilders/serious gym goers take 5-6 meals a day. Complex carbs are more recommended than simple carbs too.
I'm assuming 25-30 lbs of bulk right? Not sure if I'd be into that since I don't think I have enough time to shed it off when school starts. And when school starts, I'd be hard to lose it. I'm like 5'6 and like 140 right now. I'd like for it to be 140 of muscles ideally. I found a workout that I started that like a week ago that I like and works with the amount I eat. I'll see how that goes.

I'll check into that casein protein though.

I have insomnia, it's gotten worst lately so anyone know a way to remedy it? Also general health of me is; I'm 5'4 and about 104 pounds while I am 19. I'm severely underweight. Other than that I am like immune to illnesses because I don't remember ever being sick.
warm milk maybe sleeping pills can be dangerous a good cup of horlicks does it for me

FaytSaratome, I have a few more tips that might help you out. First, try making sure all the lights in your room are off or covered up, especially LED sources. I know if I leave my phone handset plugged in the indicator light keeps me up all night. Giving yourself an hour to unwind and avoiding exciting activities before going to bed is often very helpful, especially if you can work a nice bedtime routine in there (your body will begin to program itself to go to sleep mode if you regularly follow a night routine). Massaging is a wonderful stimulate for relaxation and stress reduction, thus a useful sleep aid. As NOVA said warm milk works too. As for the full stomach idea, try eating carbohydrates such as crackers. And, this may be obvious but, avoid consuming caffeine & sugar in the evening. I would not suggest taking sleeping pills. Only use them as a last resource, and I would want you to talk to your doctor before taking any sleep aid medication. And since we are on medications, if you have started any new ones, those may be affecting your sleep patterns as well. Let us know if these don't help Smile

man,i have some lung problems or something.i keep on burping with no reasons,and i cant control it.its like a very painful burp.i do this,like,50 per day?

Mix it up.
Do different kinds of pushups.
Be creative.
Enjoy it.

Because soon you'll plateau. Two years of the same exercise is getting boring for you muscles and they remember the movement. When they experience a new angle, or speed, being unstable an using your core more, things like that, then the big growth and change over time happens.

I have a few disabilities, Asthma, and neurological urge to scratch my hands to death. But for some reason I have this phantom stickiness that does not go away with liberally scrubbing my hands to a raw red color. Pinching_eyes

Really, you should be doing something else other than push ups. Try pulls up (there are many variants of that) or dips if you're looking for triceps and biceps. At least pull ups will work other muscles, too. Why anyone would only focus on upper body is beyond me.
I have gained weight, I was 130 and now i'm 140. I am 5/7 1/2- 5/8, I bench-press 120 Pounds and i'm 14/15
I do not like diets.

I have already reached my goal in doing pull ups. I can do 70 of them and maybe more if I try. Also I do dips during tennis practice.

It's not that I am focus on my upper body, it's just that push-ups, dips, and pull-ups are an easy and effective way to work out at home rather than going to some stupid work out place.
You should never want to do an easy work out. That defeats the purpose.

Easy work out? What I do is not easy. I push my self everyday.

Trees have insects and heights......my two and only fears.
Climb trees? I <3 climbing trees, it's good for you and it's nice to read a book in one. And what Deikailo meant was because you said that you only exercise one kind of muscle area, so your body gets used to it. Even if you do more, it won't be as much of a workout if you did something else for your other muscles a little less.
And yoga. Never forget yoga; the fountain of youth.

It builds strength, flexibility, balance, core. Calmness of mind anyone? Yum.
being flexible Is very important for strength training. Going through the full range of motion, preventing injury, helping the change and growth over time, focusing your mindset.
