Basically about health in general, this can include workouts, diets, nutrient discussion, exercise tips, etc.

I myself want to get in better shape, and as such asked a few members here on exercises that I can do. I'm thinking of a routine with the pushups, pullups, situps, etc, but I'm still planning it all out for a weekly schedule.

I don't focus on nutrients that much, mainly because of my ridiculously high metabolism (this is why i am skinny as a mofo). I eat everything and anything on my plate and still do not have any reasonable fat or weight gains. Anything I should begin eating on a weekly or daily basis?

Mainly looking for muscle gains (but not like arnold schwarzenegger) for both aesthetics and actual physical wellness (mainly the second but the first is always good right), and how to balance out my diet to augment the above desire.
i am eating two pulled pork sandwiches and fries now carp ya'll
i weight 130, 100 pounds of that is fat in my arteries
Talked to you already BT.

How tall are you though Brad?

But G is freaking FAT. Srsly. 145 lbs of FATTTTTTTT. I took a picture of myself in a towel today. Not pretty.

haha I was thinking you were tall since you're 130 lb and still skinny.
I'd really like to gain some weight, I just have no idea how.

I eat practically the worst food ever on a daily basis (ask Artie about my horrid eating habits; they really are terrible lmao) and yet I gain nothing.

You want to bulk up and gain weight? You need to hit the gym 3x a week and drink about a gallon (not a typo) of milk a day. You essentially need to eat a lot of food and work out. As a result, you will gain some fat at first, but that's why you do light cardio. You should be eating lean protein (chicken, nuts, etc.) and don't eat junk food.

Ryan, you may be thin but I guarantee on the inside you are messed up lol. If you want to gain weight--healthily--you'll have to eat lean protein and exercise. You can't just eat junk food to gain weight.

EDIT: Read this awesome thread on GAF guys. Really tons of amazing info in here

I am now :p
No where near my old shape. Those pix you saw were from last year. I have comparison pictures, but they're kinda... not for this topic? Who knows.
If anyone has any questions about treatments like acupuncture or athletic/therapeutic massage, I'd be happy to answer to the best of my abilities.
I've been having massages for 10+ years to deal with my many and sordid physical ailments, and acupuncture to help me manage things like migraines and depression. Smile
I've become more alert with the foods i eat, I always eat Vegtables and Fruit everyday and try and limit myself on eating too much Meat. I'd say its working I just feel alot better than what i used to, i feel like carp if I eat too much Junk food.

Would like to hit the Gym soon and tone up a bit more sometime soon, but not in the Summer now its heating up now.

Your diet is high in carbohydrates, low on greens and fairly high in fat. To jump start your metabolism you need to make massive changes to your diet. Once you get that working, you can slowly introduce some of these foods back in your diet in moderation (key). Another thing to do to curb hunger is to eat smaller meals. Instead of skipping lunch and eating two helpings of dinner. Split your food intake to at least four smaller meals a day. The human body on average can only absorb about 400-600 calories at a time. Eating much more than that gets stored as fat. While I know this sounds extreme at first it does work. I went from 200 pounds to 140. The last thing I can tell you is that a good long term effective weight loss plan is best for health and consistency. It took me three years to do mine. If I did it too fast my metabolism would not have had time to adjust, and my weight would fluctuate like crazy. Hope I did not bore you with this rant, peace and good luck.

P.S. feel free to message me if you have more questions.
Edit: for some reason I completely forgot to write down exercise. You need to form an exercise routing for at least 3 times a week including both cardio and weights. Cardio helps you burn mass, whereas weights build muscle. Muscle burns more energy than fat, is denser and gives you tone. It also plays a crucial (I cannot stress this enough) role in stabilizing your metabolism. By pure diet alone your metabolism will slow down. I have seen people crash diet so much that eating the occasional piece of cake leaves them bloated and a couple pounds heavier. By exercise you avoid that dilemma and can actually live a little.
Cereal is the way to go for Breakfast man, especially stuff like Weet-Bix and Sultana Bran keeps you full and running for quite a while. Try and eat alot of bread products since they can keep you full for a longer period of time. Once you eat Junk food you get hungry within another hour or so.
DON'T FORGET TO EXCERCISE

take the stairs, ride a bike, walk, etc
Push ups, sit ups, and chin ups did it for me. A punching bag is nice as well.
its not just what yo ueat that makes you fat its how your body digests it like fat poeples bodys digest it slowly and because they eat so much it doesnt give the rest of the food time 2 go down soo it all goes together and makes oyu fat
for some reason in the last few months i have done nothing but sit on my carp and lost hella weight
I've got the food department down, but I can't say I get much exercise. Besides the 25 min walk both ways to school each weekday.

This September I basically stopped eating junk food and replaced it with healthy carp. I'm down to a 28 waist and have a six pack now lol.

I hate how people like you get six packs from simply reducing what they eat, lol

I've been running my carp off 4-5 times a week.
I go to the gym usually every day after school and when I'm not jogging I usually lift weights. I bench more then I should, lol. Usually use it everytime I use weights.

But yeah, with jogging I've been burning off 1000 calories each time.
And yet no six pack emerges.
I also do sit ups everytime I do weights, doing 250 of them.

Ontop of that I do pushups when I remember at home. I found some cool ways to do them differently, like putting your feet on a chair.

Annnd the result of all that is surprisingly weak :\ so i'm considering getting a personal trainer and consulting him.
