Someone already posted about that days ago ...
no i know. im just wonderin if any1 else haz seen it. cuz isnt it part of the 2011 line or sumthing?
How is this surprising? It's 2011, we have seen plenty of more important products that were released.
who said anything about surprising? and i was asking because the rock scorpio was from a previous line so i was wondering if they mite release something like that except with other beys. i was just wondering if any1 has seen it in stores. thats all. i havent seen any other 2011 line toys in stores other than cyber pegasus, so i was thinking if the whole line had been released, just scattered i guess
I think I know why Hasbro doesn't release boosters. The single packs cost too little to reduce the price again for one bey. Their Keychain Beyblade Line costs under $8.00 (I think), and I don't think they'll want to release normal, customizable beyblade for less then $8.00. Lets just say boosters cost $5.00. Because then, people will just by like 4 boosters and 2 beylaunchers for like $36.00, rather than to buy 4 starters and 2 beylaunchers for $48.00.
most kids probably dont use their string launchers
and the flashlight beyblades are sooooo stupid

Hasbro does not make the keychains, by the way.
well yeah. the budget for BMF is pretty low so of course that was the motive. because if you think about it, TT has been selling beyblades for a while and its popularity hasnt decreased there as much as it has here, so they can make more money, using boosters. i think ur absolutely rite

I see you buy your beys at Target. Every other store sells beys for $8-9

Also you have to remember. When they sell boosters, they don't have to spend money with making the ripcords or launchers. So selling the boosters for $5 would give them about the same profit.

This is completely wrong.

How can you even talk about what budget Hasbro has for Beyblade Metal Fusion ? Do you work there ?

Takara stopped producing and selling Beyblades during three years just like Hasbro did. Hasbro stopped selling them because Takara announced it first ... Yet TAKARA-TOMY has successfully been selling Boosters since the beginning of everything ...
well all im saying is:
1. look at the difference in advertisement budget that Hasbro spends on each toy line. they didnt want to take too huge a risk.
2. compare the advertisement to takara tomy. not as good.
3.even though the material is better that's because of the fact that America is larger and has an abundance of low quality metals.
Hasbro even says at some points tht they dnt exactly want to make too large a risk becoz beyblade lost popularity.

Hasbro does not need to spend much on advertising. First off Beyblade is already an established brand name, everyone knows what they are. Secondly, The anime does the advertising for them. Hell, the anime is what got me into beyblade Metal Fusion.
Also, beyblade always sells fast here, people are buying it. After a certain point you don't have to advertise as much.

^^ FFFFFFFFF Good thing I'm moving soon!
Anyone know what this:

is?

Hasbro's using it as their key Beyblade product for highlight at Toy Fair. It kind of sounds like the old RC tops with a focus on control like Battle Strikers... Guess we'll hopefully find out this weekend.

Anyways, I have some news, that I hope Kai-V won't tell me is old:

Metal Masters logo is slick.

As Kai-V mentioned before, you don't know their advertising budget. Even if it is smaller than say a Transformers, who's to say it's less than Takara Tomy's? You don't live in Japan to say that. I've seen the Rick Anderson style commercial multiple times on children's TV channels alongside the broadcast of the anime, which as mentioned before, is an advertisement itself.
Ah, no, that is new.

The logo is ... redundant.
I don't actually believe Galaxy Pegasus is part of the logo. I got that, and the slide above from a Hasbro powerpoint, and I think they were simply showing off their part of the brand (the toys).
OH MY GOD THANK YOU HASBRO FOR MAKING TATOOED FACES YEAH YEAH YEAH YESSSSSSSSSS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! sorry just so happy and new electronic xts tops sounds suspicios
Knowing Hasbro, that will:
A: Be the only tatooed face
B: Did not make that and it was simply just from a powerpoint
C: Elbows

My vote is for C.

I know. The actual logo is very redundant though, nothing special ...
RC MFBs? If that is true, and they are metal...Well, hence the $30 price tag.
Nice piece on how Beyblade's doing for Hasbro:

Quote:The ongoing first quarter will suffer as a result of inventory that's too high both in Hasbro's factories and at retails, both domestically and abroad. Thomas said Hasbro expects "momentum" to begin next quarter, momentum it expects will drive top-line and bottom-line growth this year, reversing a year-over-year dip in 2010 that it reported on Monday.

Inventory is also a problem for its Beyblade product line, except in this case there isn't enough inventory to meet demand.
We are too cool for Hasbro.
Meaning that Hasbro is willing to put in more work to empty the warehouses?

Hm, for Beyblade, that obviously meant that they do not even have enough stock in the warehouses ...

Does this explain why I still haven't seen a Burn Fireblaze hahaha

Just kidding everyone, the legend series is popping up around here. I do notice a lot of store shelves very empty tho.
