General Hasbro BEYBLADE:Metal Fury/Shogun Steel/Beyblades Legends -FALL 2014 [HOBBY]

Only the picture of the Bey on the front of the boxes looked kind of fuzzy, which was the only thing that really made me question if they were real or not. In the end, I took a gamble and opened up the Blitz Striker. In it, the Beys are packaged similarly to the Takara Tomy ones, had all the right parts (except a minor color change for the SF Tip; clear instead of a solid color like on the packaging), the typical Hasbro launcher and ripcord, and did have the Code Card. As for the materials, they looked and felt like a normal Hasbro Bey and not fake like Rapidity.

B-142A Blitz Striker 100SF
B-151C VARIARES 145WB

These Beys are kind of like "budget" versions of the regular releases, even though they are pretty much the same price. Other companies do the same thing and release cheaper versions of their toys at stores like Big Lots, an example being Bandai's Power Rangers brand.

Anyways, I don't have them with me right now. They're at my apartment, and I'm currently at my parents' house right now. I'll probably stop there tomorrow to pick them up, along with a few other things I need.
That Variares looks amazing. Why, haven't we known about them sooner?

Wait. Were these discussed earlier?
I actually hadn't even considered that they might be fake, but now that I know they are real, I might pick the Blitz up just for collection, cuz these seem like pretty rare finds unless alot of Big Lots are getting them.

I wonder when these were even released, because we are now well into the Shogun Steel line. I hope they make ones for Cosmic, Beat and others though.

B-138B Jade Jupiter 130B
This turned out better than I thought it would be. The Jupiter CW is a nice opaque pale blue. However, the poor choice of colors on the facebolt makes it kind of hard to see the motif. Weakest color scheme of the three. Also, not that it really matters, but I love the different colors on the launcher.

B-142A Blitz Striker 100SF
Like I mentioned before, the SF is clear instead of a solid color like on the packaging. The white 100 track throws off the color scheme a bit...

B-151C VARIARES 145WB
Personal favorite of the three. The purple plastic is semi-transparent and the Bey looks great overall.

Note: The red Jade Jupiter comes from the Howling Smash 2-Pack (It's B-138A) and the Fang Leone is Rapidity. I also got an additional two of the Jade and VARIARES for collection purposes, but wasn't able to find another Blitz.
I went to my local Target today, (to finish Christmas shopping) and I saw all three beyraiderz starters (ronin dragoon, samurai ifrit, and berserker byakko.) There was also the challenge chamber battle set (or whatever it's called.) I just can't believe it that they're already in stores. The target that I went to was in Broadview, Illinois.

I guess there is not much more real than that, hah. Thank you for all of those photographs.

That scares me, since Wave 3 is barely out. We haven't even seen Balro or Wyvang...

Makes me wonder if we will be seeing Byakko and Garudas. Tongue_out
i already have wyvang and balro so im not to worried about those but i better get my byakko and garuda, ive only seen ifraids and what-not so far, but i haavent been to the store in like a month

Like Revel, I found the three starters, Chamber Challenge Stunt Set, and the Firegate Battle Set at Target today. I got Samurai Ifrit and I'll try to make a short video on it tomorrow... Maybe...

Anyways, Beyraiderz indeed has a 3-part customizable system, which includes the Token Tracker, Energy Core, and Tracker Wheel.
Naming is Energy Core + Token Tracker. Typing is determined mainly by the Energy Core + Tracker Wheel.

The Token Tracker has no fancy naming at all, so it's just "TT-#". However, the number assigned might be determined by the surface area of the velcro part, which can make it easier or harder for the Beyraider to snag the Tokens. For instance, TT-11 looks smaller than TT-19, which looks slightly smaller than TT-25.

The Energy Core is obviously named for its motif.
Also, there is indeed a place on it where you can directly attach a rip cord like Chima's Speedorz, but the one that comes in the Rev-Back Launcher doesn't look like it can be detached from it. And of course... only ones that come with Rev-Back launchers are available right now...

Similarly to the Shogun Tips in Beywarriors Shogun Steel, the Tracker Wheel is named after its type (Power, Speed, or Control).

I'm interested in seeing how they work in action. They actually look half decent to play with XD I never really cared for Hasbro's Beyblade sub-lines, so this one is the first that I care for.

Or click here if you just want to skip most of the video and see it in action.

Overall, they're okay. My biggest complaint is that the Rev-Back launcher is kind of hard to use/control and won't let the Beyraider go more than a few inches, unless you slam your fist on it really hard, which could cause it to go too far. It would've been nice if it came with a ripcord that could be detached from it.
As for the Beyraider itself, it's slightly unbalanced and will wobble a bit from side to side, which affects its direction when launched. Customization's also easy, but the Token Tracker part's a bit hard to get off. Also, I'm not sure if the use of velcro is effective or not since I miss the tokens too often anyway...

Also, a little tidbit about the Rev-Back Launcher: on the left side, there's a place to attach an accessory, such as a grip, but of course, I don't have any with me right now, so I can't try it...
Wow, I'd love to see a grip on that.

Overall, I'm impressed. A lot better than Wheelz and Warriors. I'll definitely get a few.

I think the Raider only went a few inches, since the point is to rev-up the launcher, rather than give it a single pull and release. At least, that's what I get out of the name, Rev-Back, haha. Tongue_out

The point of rev-ing it is to make it so it comes back since the Energy Core's wheel actually spins backwards when you use the Rev-Up Launcher. The Raider's distance forwards depends on how hard you push it forward with the launcher.

So that's how it "rev-'s back"... Thanks for letting us know! Grin

I guess the revving was a misunderstanding on my part. Tongue_out
Now I get the differences between types. Speed types are supposed to get the tokens as fast ast possible, but don't go that far. Power types are slow but have enough power to go farther to reach the tokens. Control types are more balanced (and probably more stable) and the token trackers are wider to get the token more efficiently and easily.

Not quite right. Distance only matters depending on how much force you use on the Rev-Back launcher's trigger. The size and length of the Raiderz determines how it distributes that force.
Speed types are longer and more streamlined, but at the cost of a small Token Tracker, which is harder to catch tokens with. Basically, think Formula racers.
Power Types (Samurai Ifrit TT-19's type BTW) are bulkier, shorter, and have rougher bodies, but have a bigger Token Tracker.
As for Control types, I'm not exactly sure, but I think they're larger than both and mix them together, so it's almost the length of a Speed type, but at the expense of the bulkier body of the Power type along with the largest-possible Token Tracker.

Honestly, I'm worried how the Beyraiderz in the vehicle packs will work, since they don't come packaged with Rev-Back launchers. The Beyraider only moves forward because of the trigger in the launcher that pushes it forward when pressed. It only automatically returns because the Energy Core's wheel is rotating in a direction that moves it backwards, which is caused by revving it in the launcher or using a ripcord. I guess for those without the launcher, once you pull the ripcord, you lightly throw it forward or something?
Or this is Hasbro's secret plan to get everyone to buy the Starter Packs or Firegate Battle Set?

Edit: lol, found a separate generic, gray Rev-Back Launcher that comes packaged with 3 different tokens at a Target that didn't have any other Beyraiderz products. Only costs $5.99.

Edit 2: Beywarrior ripcords do fit in Beyraiderz and throwing it forward does work... it's actually quite amusing.

Edit 3: compared the size of the control type to the other two while in a store - it's definitely like a midpoint between them in terms of size, so not too long or short.

Edit 4: Rev-Back Launcher packaging
I just saw the firegqte battle set at my local target. It really does only cost 30 bucks. I couldn't get it though.
Okay, we now understand how this game works, but it seems it may get boring after a while. I wonder if Hasbro will introduce other ideas to this(maybe a racing launcher, perhaps)?
Has anyone seen anything other than genbu as far as wave 3 goes?
(Jan. 09, 2014  7:07 PM)Draciel516 Wrote: Has anyone seen anything other than genbu as far as wave 3 goes?

I haven't even seen Genbull, yet.
Interesting, the Raider Starter Set is around $12.99, yet the individual Raider is $9.99 and the launcher is $5.99, costing about $16.00.

I think a few people have seen Bahamootes and Pegasi, but I haven't gotten any luck here.
Bahamoote is in my local Wal-Mart, but it's strange because my Wal-Mart is usually behind on new releases.

Edit: That's what I thought.
Bahamoote is Wave 2, actually.
Whoo! Looks like I've got some BeyRaiderz on the way to review. I'll get some video once I've got them in hand.
Got a Raider at TRU. They had all of the starters and boosters, no sets/stadiums, though.

I really, really, like it. The launchers even allow you to attach a grip, which is very convenient. They're pretty easy to control, it depends how hard you push the trigger to see how far it goes, though. The launcher is a bit on the bulky side, but considering it houses the vehicle, it is understandable.

The vehicle itself is a lot smaller than I thought it would be and less chunky/bulky(?) than Wheelz, not to mention, they're pretty portable. Customization is easy and they have pretty nice designs, too.

The gameplay, itself, is pretty fun. It may sound simple, but man, it takes some skill to get a Token in one try, haha. I'm interested in seeing if different parts actually have different effects.

Honestly, this is one time I can really say I'm very impressed with a side series. Tongue_out
