General Hasbro BEYBLADE:Metal Fury/Shogun Steel/Beyblades Legends -FALL 2014 [HOBBY]

That's surprising. I'd understand the price difference in Canada, but I wouldn't think it would just be a local/area thing and not across the U.S..

They're usually anywhere from $8.99-$9.99, but I noticed last month TRU dropped the price to $6.99, as did Walmart ($6.26) and Target ($6.96).
Huh. For me, they've always been $7.99 at Target, $9.99 at K-Mart and Wal-Mart, $12.99 at Toys "R" Us. That is, of course, disregarding the occasional sale.
At CVS they're $10.99.

Perhaps Hasbro is preparing the shelves for Legends? Tongue_out

At my walmart the shelves were empty except for 1 genbu and a xirago which I bought. They were on sale like you said 6.99 .
My Walmart has yet to sell any wave 3s. Which is odd, considering that they were the best when it came to Shogun Steel.
Same - I just went on a series of trips to every store I could and not one of them had anything other than wave 1. There were a few double packs, but no Air Synchrom packs and only one Earth Unhappy

If they skip over Wave 3 entirely I will be MAD.
I was just able to snag Pegasus and Zirago (plus the Bahamoote I didn't have yet) from Walmart for $7 a piece. Going back later this week to see if they restock.
Hoping this means anything about Legends won't change or be cut short.

First quarter 2014 net revenues in the Boys category increased 2% to $247.8 million behind growth in NERF and Marvel products, partially offset by continued year-over-year declines in BEYBLADE.

This makes me wonder how much Wheelz/Warriors/Raiderz effect the "decline" considering most of my local stores sell Beyblade tops generally quickly and well, while currently have multiple racks of untouched Warriors.

This is the same where I live - there's basically nothing left on the maybe four racks of Beyblades, while there's a dozen racks of Warriors/other junk that are basically untouched.

Seems even little kids know that BeyWarriors are garbage lol
It really concerns me how that may be a large factor effecting the loss.

I understand the tops themselves are not as popular as they were during 2010-2012, yet when I can still see them completely selling out at times while Warriors remain untouched, there is a slight issue. Tongue_out
Hey, if our tournaments were officially endorsed or at least advertised by Hasbro like Beyblade deserves, there would barely be a decline.

Very true.

After all, it would only make sense to support the core of the toy and hobby: it's players.
Hasbro should take example on TAKARA-TOMY right now, who is continuing to host tournaments despite barely any Beyblade items being sold.
It's kinda sad then when I can get Hasbro to donate to the CT tournaments, they send Warriorz, and this last time, a few Raiderz. No Beys at all.

I can get sending Raiderz to promote a new product, but it's a bit obvious when you get 8 Warriors and 2 Sets, with out any Beyblades, something isn't right.

They're most likely trying to clear stock of Warriors to make room for future products, get rid of them, in general, etc., at least they donated something, though.
Very true.

Another concern of mine is how hard it's been to get any info, or even responses, from my rep lately. My other Hasbro/Litzky PR reps are still very on top of their email. Not her, lately.
Wondering:

https://twitter.com/TheBeybladeShop

Is this Hasbro/Hasbro sponsored? Are they finally acknowledging Plastics and HMS among MFB?

I somehow doubt they'd have images of all of those Beyblades, yet it seems to be "official-esque", to me.

Typing in beybladeshop.com in my URL directs me to a Google Search or a sketchy domain/site, while typing in shop.beyblade.com redirects me to a Google Search, haha.
Seems my local cvs got wave 3 for 10.99

To me it is definitely fan-made. Those images in the background and in some of the first posts are definitely not by Hasbro, so they could not use them unless they explicitly got the fans' permissions. The Twitter account itself seems to be about nothing specific in Beyblade ...

By the way, the Beyblades in my local Wal-Mart are on sale for eight dollars for the first time in years, down from more than $9,75 for a Starter.

Since Beyblade Metal Fury was released, I haven't found any Beyblades under the price of $13, including the tax. Eight dollars is definitely an amazing steal.
Especially since there was only a Thief Zirago, a Bandit Genbu and some other one, but I already bought Hasbro's Genbu.

Having actually spoken to them, I'm going to tell you that it isn't fan made. Details are scare at the moment but I am aware of what they'll be doing in a few weeks time.

So, for now, can you confirm it is Hasbro?

That's perfectly understandable.

Last Summer, I was able to find a couple of Metal Fury's wave ones for a little over six dollars. I'm guessing it was just some kind of sale, involving the beginning of Summer though.

Sorry, if this lead to being off-topic.

I can confirm that much for you, yes.
Looking forward to whatever is coming up... Smile
