General Animal Crossing: Wild World Thread

I'm not talking about the horrible Lets Go to the City. im talking about the DS and the original Gamecube Versions.

Make this a 'General Animal Crossing' thread, and I'm good to go.

I own Animal Crossing for GameCube, Animal Crossing: Wild World, Animal Crossing: City Folk, and when Animal Crossing 3DS comes out, I will be there on release date to get it.

I have Wild World, City Folk, and will get the 3ds game when it comes out. I used to play wild world all of the time, but I just stopped all of the sudden. My town was full of stuff that I had and it was all over the ground.

I really suggest getting the GameCube one. It's cheap and loads of fun. It may not have all the features (like hair, hats or accessories) but it's pure awesome. Better holidays and events than City Folk (morning aerobics anyone?). Halloween, Christmas, and so much more. And the music, oh gosh, the music is flipping AMAZING. Way better than the repetitive music in the newer titles. Tired of the same song every three hours? Its got a different song every hour, so to hear the same song, you'd have to wait a day. It's just amazing; a great way to start an amazing series.

Yeah... the original was amazing and the new titles have horrible music:

Dee dum dum dum dee.... dee dum dum dum dee dee.... then every hour DING DONG then dee dum dum dee dee... dee dum dum dee dee...

I dont play as much as I used to, maybe the 3ds version will get me back into it. And yes the GC version was the best version! However its not the original, the original was a japan only game called Animal Forest.

Yeah, I know. I was considering getting Animal Forest + or just Animal Forest as a ROM. I like the idea of a bell shrine better than a wishing well. My computer probably would crash every three seconds if I did.

On the subject of Animal Crossing 3D, I know they can't put the music from the GC version because of copyright, but I sincerely hope that they change that music. Please Nintendo, make new music! We don't want that carp music you've given us.

I would potentially get a 3DS just for Animal Crossing. However, I'm always afraid of how utterly engrossing this game is, and how much time goes down the drain playing this.

I've wasted so much time on Wild World because it was that fun.
