Awesome sauce.
I loved Assassin's Creed 1 and 2 so much, but I'm really worried that Ubisoft is starting to run the franchise into the ground.
This Brotherhood game just sounds like a cash-in on the franchise's name to me. They're recycling environments (Rome) and characters (Ezio) from AC2 and throwing in a multiplayer mode, and let's be honest -- who really wanted multiplayer in Assassin's Creed? I sure as hell didn't.
Hopefully the story in the single player is as strong as it's been in the past two games. As long as it fits in the overall timeline of the series and doesn't feel like rushed garbage, I'll probably be happy with it. But again, I'm really worried this isn't going to be the case. Originally I was horrified because I thought this game was going to be multiplayer only, and dear God... I'm glad I was wrong. lol
You think Rome was explored in AC II? I sure as hell didn't. And a multiplayer could be amazing, think of something like this.
Your target is in the middle of a heavily guarded house. You need to blend with the crowd and poison a guard to distract the rest of them. Your partner then assassinates the target and you both get away unharmed. This would all be going on in real time, and you could approach the mission in many ways like AC1.
