carp, Team SWAT should just be "any body shot gets you killed" period. Just yesterday on The Pit, I spot 2 Elites who I start shooting at, like 3 shots on one and 2 on the other, always aiming straight at their heads and none of those counted as a headshot. Then, at the first BR burst one of them shoots, I'm dead...carp carp.
Gaming Random Thoughts
I played Team SWAT for the first time last night and hated it. That carp is lame.
I hated it too when I first played it a few weeks ago. Then on the 2nd week straight of Team SWAT, I got used to it and it felt better, but it does really suck when you keep headshoting some guy who just doesn't die and kills you right away...
I've heard that the Elite models have poor hit detection and they also can't be headshot from behind. I've been using an Elite model since the previous Team SWAT Double EXP weekend though.
Another thing, IMO Team SWAT sucks on Guardian and even worse in Construct. Whichever team gets to/starts at the top level there usually wins the game. Whether you picks the lifts or the stairs leading to the top level, you end up getting insta-killed once you get there.
Also, has Live been lagging for anyone else? These last few days it has been all yellow/red bars in most matches, guys quitting (or getting kicked), players vanishing into thin air to appear in a different spot, black screens during a game that goes on...

swat in halo 2 was awesome
why the carp am i still playing magna carta
a: wanting to see who gets killed off
b: unfortunate compulsion to finish all rpgs i buy
c: too braindead for math
bradley lets get some spoiler tags up in here

The battle system in Magna Carta is seriously the worst piece of carp I've ever had the displeasure of attempting.
It seriously has a lot of potential but I honestly just hate most of the characters so goddamn much.
Lehas and Rhianna are the likable ones imo
and holy carp I wish reith would just die in a carp fire

you shut up
you haven't tried it?
the aiming sucks carp
when your 1 on 1 with a enemy, you shot him 10 times, he falls down, shakes a little, gets up and stabs you
the maps are too small for "tactical espionage action"
it's kinda obvious this game is better off with single player than multiplayer
i'm gonna get mgs 4 of course, but i'll only play the singleplayer

I can't believe you're surprised that it sucks. lol
cheetos Wrote:actually the aiming i was talking about is this "first person" thing you say was in mgs3 online, it's the only way to aim without just randomly spraying, and to be honest, it sucksSilver Kane Wrote:Did you not play the original MGO in MGS3: Subsistence? Where everyone just ran around using a silenced XM16, leaning, and going into first person then always getting a headshot? It's a Beta, not the final game, don't judge it based on maps or modes. And at least you can actually aim and not just spray and pray now.cheetos Wrote:Silver Kane Wrote:okay so mgs online wasn't all that special tbh, lolhey

really man? looks nothing special to me. I even downloaded the vid.
and I don't see the draw for mmo that just battle monsters and stats. hell why not all devs come together and create one massive united platform with a good concept. there are sooo many mmorpgs that really if they amagamated I think the product would be better and so would the user base.
Burnout is imho is great example of good multiplayer online, though im not sure it is massive...
Well, just look up some of the features it has. Wings you actually use, midair combat, a game engine (Crytek) that was designed for scenery and does it beautifully, a musical score by one of Asia's top New Age musicians, and apparently they're actually putting a good amount of effort into quests and cutscenes.
Has Crisis Core gone down in price yet?
MMO's annoy me. I don't know why I'm so addicted to one...

Playing windwaker got me into playing toon link in brawl more.
He's so rad.

FFCC My Life as a King comes out in a few days. There's been oddly little advertisement about it, but meh.

So I signed up for a free GameFly 10-day trial.
Okami and Mario Kart Wii should be arriving Tuesday or Wednesday.
I'm pumped. I'm already 99% positive that I'm going to love the carp out of Okami.

Yeah.
I would've gotten the PS2 version but I don't have my PS3 yet so I wouldn't have been able to play it.
got a racing wheel for my b-day.
really like it. however, i need to learn how to drive with the wheel as it's totally different than the controller.
EDIT: i turned the force feedback down to around 60%.
slightly easier to control now but i need to spend more time with itttt

Okami came in the mail today.
Other than the 20 minute opening cut scene (I kid you not, its 20 minutes, which is skippable, but even so, its the opening cut scene that sets up the story, who would skip this?) I'm really enjoying it so far.
I'm playing the Wii version, for anyone that cares and I have to agree with what most of the reviews have said: the controls kinda suck. Running around the world is fine, but when it comes to using the Celestial Brush there are times where I want to throw my Wii Remote in frustration because for some reason the game will not recognize the lines I draw even though I'm drawing near perfect straight lines.
Also, sometimes during combat the controls act up. You shake the Wii Remote to attack enemies ala Wolf Link in Twilight Princess but for whatever reason sometimes I shake the remote and it doesn't register and I end up taking a lot of damage from the enemies counter attack. That's sort of frustrating.
But all of that irritating negativity aside, the game is absolutely carp beautiful. I was instantly drawn into the story, even though it has become sort of a cliche within Japanese/Kabuki themed works. I sank two and a half hours into the game without even realizing, so that should tell you just how immersive the game is.
Oh, one other minor little niggle I have with the game is the annoying Animal Crossing style voice overs for the characters. I wouldn't care so much if you could turn them off, but alas, you can't. That gets sort of annoying when all you hear are these voices speaking high pitched gibberish.
But yeah, I'll wait until I get further into the game before I really decide on my feelings. (I've heard its a 30+ hour game, so this could take a while lol)
