Gaming Random Thoughts

The NeoGAF thread speculates that the reason for the PS3 slim is to cut down on production costs. By using a smaller, newer, and cheaper Blu-Ray disc drive (the one on current PS3's are literally like 5x bigger then the newer drives), and using a more efficient hard-drive solution, thus able to slim down the profile. I think it will happen, Sony has done it to all of their main platforms that have been released worldwide (ie, not the Pocket Station, or the PlayStation X). The shot of the box looks too real.

And as you said, a similar logo to that of the one on the mold is appearing on PS3 advertisements. It allows them to create nostalgia as well as allow the logo to be seen by more people (the current logo is just too long to appear, and too long to read).

Don't forget, the first word we heard of PSP 3000 was also from leaked shots just like this.

(If there is any way to get the video of Elliot doing the Re-Dead scream, it NEEDS to be posted)

I have it. I can upload it, hold on.

EDIT: Here it is. http://www.facebook.com/video/video.php?v=104065266640
I wish Unplugged would come out so I can get it...I miss the FreQuency/Amplitude gameplay

If Ken Levine actually does write this, then do want. If not... Kinda want. I think a BioShock novel has the potential to be really awesome if done correctly.
Redfaction: Guerilla is flying way under the radar.
I dare you not to play the demo like 5 times, carp is fun. the demo been out a month or so, go play it if you haven't. the geomod tech is worth it alone
To you get inFAMOUS yet? I like the demo but I have a back log so im waiting on it. Also waiting on Bionic Commando.

actually waiting for prices to drop too haha $69 is absurd

I mis-read that as graphic novel, which id be psyched for. but as a novel doubt I'd care but it'be nice if it is/made canon
Who here has played 'Legacy of Kain: Soul Reaver'? I think the game is still briliant even today, it was very well done for a PS1 game.

Heres the awesome opening for those who don't know. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YulwXPicf...annel_page
I haven't picked up inFamous yet because of the $70 price tag. It's a good game, but next month I have more highly anticipated games. I'll pick it up on sale or if the dollar reaches parity, then I'll just get it from the US if the price here doesn't decrease.

I didn't care for it so much, the controls seemed kind of shoddy to me.
I just saw an old cinematic for diablo where Diablo is wearing some strange garments, thought this might give one of you a chuckle...

EDIT: Dunno if it's been brought up, but does anyone else remember LEMMINGS? =D

Oh. To hell with that.
i carp wish games here were $69 lol
That does look like a pain to hold, and they seriously should have put more thought into the design :\. I really dont see the point in it, anyways...

This thing is seriously ugly and looks really uncomfortable to hold.

LOL
i dont care how it looks, if its getting both mgs and jak and daxter i'm getting it lol
It literally looks like a Sony Mylo. And that is not a good thing.

Not like I was going to buy it anyways, since if that is indeed what it looks like then it won't have a UMD drive, cutting off all backwards compatibility from the original PSPs, and likely embracing Digital Download as its only release channel. That can go carp itself.

Also SK, the original PSPs already has two MGS games, and one Daxter game. But I did tell you the next MGS would be on PSP, looks like I was right.

Good grief, it does seem really ugly and uncomfy, Don't think I will ever get that.
I don't think it looks ugly.....

but it does look unergonomic. I won't knock it till I try it. My friend is bound to buy this on launch day so I shall be able to give it at test run.
Looks a lot like this render.

One confirms the other apparently. And Jesus, Sony is certainly having a lot of leaks, first Trico and now their attempts to relaunch two sluggish platforms.

Looking at the promo stills of the PSP Go!, it is warming up to me, but I still won't buy it if the only way to get games is through a download service.
Sony WANTS to kill off the PSP. I guess we'll know in E3.
