Chapter 3: Because We Believe
(Rei's busy scarfing down his food, while his Grandpa is watching him in concern)
Grandpa: You Rei, you made a Beyblade right?
Rei: Wha? How'd you- what of course not!
Grandpa: Don't try to hide it, you where screaming like a maniac! I bet Apex Corp. could hear you all the way from Big City.
Rei: Oh yeah, about that. Grandpa, I really wanna go to Big City.
Grandpa: For what? Let me guess, Blading? Why would you go closer to Apex?
Rei: I understand it might not seem smart at first, however, I can meet new friends, right.
Grandpa: They're like animals. They'll beat you lifeless and steal everything you own. You aren't going any remotely close to the Apex Corp. building.
Rei: Please Grandpa! I'll be fine, see, check out Artemis!
Grandpa: You aren't going anywhere.....Apex is scary. I've seen what they've uncovered with my own 2 eyes.....I won't let you get exposed to their activities.
Rei: Scary, what do you mean by that?
Grandpa: What I mean is, ugh. How do you no you and you're bey won't be targeted!
Rei: Because we believe. Grandpa, I feel that I'm meant to go here, so it'll be fine.
Grandpa: You're stubborn as always....... Any who, just finish your Breakfast.
Rei: So, is that a yes. or what?
(Grandpa sat in silence, like he was reminiscing of a time long ago. Rei saw that he clearly wasn't focused on talking, so he finished his food in silence.)
Rei: How long has it been, 3 hours since Breakfast? Grandpa's been acting weird since then.....does he have some past connected to Apex? Whatever. If I can't go, I'll sneak my way out!
(Rei backed a backpack with some clothing, food, and Beyblade stuff.)
Rei: Am I really gonna do this? Even if I could left, would I really be leaving? I love Grandpa so much.....I don't think I could leave him. Whatever, I'll just Blade the day away.
(Rei spent the rest of the day perfecting his launch. The sound of "3,2,1, Let it Rip! echoed through his mind, but it couldn't keep the thoughts away of Grandpa leaving him one day. Could he ever come to terms with that? It was Afternoon. Rei's arms are sore, and he was hungry and covered in sweat.)
Rei: Beyblade....won't help me run away from my problems. Sorry Artemis. I wasn't even thinking about you.
(Rei somberly climbed into bed. he remembered the dream about his destiny. It seemed cool, leaving to the wide world, but he wanted to continue to stay with Grandpa, just a bit longer......)
(Rei woke up, to absolutely nothing. It was clearly afternoon, so why didn't Grandpa wake him up before. He saw tons of food packaged in pages on the kitchen counter, along with packets on water. Notes on them read "These things seem small, but they can hold a ton of water. Manage you drinking habits and this will get you through the rest of the tea.)
Rei: This, writing, it's Grandpa's. Grandpa! Where are you! Grandpa! (Rei quickly exited through the back door. He keep running, to the tree, past the lake, into swamp, and his legs couldn't take him any further. He somberly waddled back home, only to find his Grandpa quietly resting on the chair in front of the house. He touched his body, it was cold.)
Rei: I, Grandpa,......(Rei broke out into tears. He couldn't think straight He didn't have anything anymore. Why would he even consider leaving Grandpa. Why would he even dream of having this pain. He felt like a total douchebag.)
Rei: Grandpa! I saw, you had some notes near the workbench....of unfinished work. I wanna carry on your legacy but, I've got dreams too! Please....let me go, no. I'm gonna go to the Big City. I'll be fine, I promise. I, I...I won't be fine. But I have Artemis with me, and he helps me feel better. So don't worry about me! You can rest hear for as long as you like....I won't disturb you anymore..
(Rei wiped his tears and stacked all off is materials into a duffel bag. He saw a wallet loaded with cash. He felt kind of bad, but if he didn't take it, he wouldn't be able to survive. In it, he found a note. It read, "Hey Rei. My old age is finally catching up to me...I think I'm done for. I'll let you go to Big City. Don't get into any trouble. I love you. Rei didn't have the strength to smile, but he was truly happy. His Grandpa died in a realm of peace, so he didn't have to worry. He locked the door to the house, and hourryed away towards the main road. There, he would find the destiny he was searching for. Even if he jus had Artemis, he had somebody, and that was enough.)
Beyblade G Core: Prologue Complete
Chapter 4: First Rival
Rei: I can't believe it, I finally made it! (Rei was extremely tired and it was already noon due to traveling all day, but he had made it to Big City.)
Rei: Alright Artemis, yeah! (Rei lifts Artemis into the air, to fast actually. It flies out of his hand. Rei rushes down a hill to catch his Bey. He gets it, but crashes into a shack.)
Rei: Huh, what's this? A home? Oh, whoever lives here, my bad- wait, it's for sale?! It's also cheap! Alright, I've gotten lucky!
(Using Apex Corp.'s advanced system, all Rei had to do was put his money into a slot, and he immediately got the rights to the home, along with the key.)
Rei: It's a bit shabby, but I'll have to take what I can get I supposed. It's not bad at all though. I have food, water, a table, desk, bed, cooler, an actual Television, and microwave. I can make this work!
(Rei gets adjusted to his new home. The day passes by, and the next one begins.)
Rei: Alright, I'm pumped and ready to go! I came here for a reason after all, Beyblade! (Rei made the long trip into town. He was usually a bit wary of dark spots, however he headed straight for the alleyways and quickly found bladers.)
Rei: Woah, I made it! There's a stadium and everything! It took awhile to get here though, I should get a bike. Hey, anyone wanna bet on a match for some money?
Blader: A bet? Well, I know a guy. They call him "The Great Reaper". He does Money Matches.
Rei: Sweet, where would a find him? (The nice boy gives him direction to where this Reaper hangs out. Rei arrived before the Reaper did.)
Rei: Oh hey, took you long enough.
Reaper: Who are you exactly, and most importantly, do you have money?
Rei: I'm Rei Osiris, and I have a bunch of money ready to go!
(The Great Reaper thought about this kid. He didn't know him, he probably just moved into Big City. The only houses they have are on the Outskirts, that place is for the poor folks. I'll have to test him to see if he's worthy.)
Reaper: Sorry, I only accept those with the password.
Rei: Password? C'mon man, just take the cash, I really got to do something! (The Great Reaper just turned his back and stood in silence.)
Rei: Aw you little....whatever, I'll get this password!
(Rei left and reflected on some info. There's 3 main blading spots, all in Back Alleys. A B and C. He got this info from A and was just at B, so he decided to check out C.)
Rei: Hey guys, anyone know of a password I can use to challenge The Great Reaper?
Blader: I know of one, but it was hard to get, so I won't be giving it out.
Rei: How about this, If I beat you in a battle, you give me the password. That sound good?
Blader: Alright, but it'll be a 1-3 vs me and my 2 buddies. (2 more Bladers stepped up).
(Rei thought that this seemed a bit unfair, but he was willing to battle and trusted in Artemis' strength.)
Everyone: 3,2,1, Let it Rip! (The beys flew throughout the stadium. 1 Beyblade headed straight for Artemis, while the other 2 where at the center.)
Rei: This is our first real challenge, but we won't give in! Deflect the attack Artemis!
(Using it's 8 blades, Artemis successfully deflected the attack and pushed the attacker out of the stadium)
Blader: I'm coming next! My rubber will decimate you! (1 of the Beys in the center clashed with Artemis. Artemis retaliated by using it's metal to tear through the rubber, knocking the attacker out of the stadium.)
(The final Blader thought for a second. Simply rushing in won't work, even with some extra power. He would need to attack a weak point....how about the underbelly of the Bey?)
Blader: Now, hit it's Drive! (The final Beyblade went straight for Artemis' Drive, and clashed into it.)
Rei: Exactly what I needed! Artemis, counter! (4 spikes jutted out of Artemis' Drive, knocking the attacking Bey away and destabilizing it.)
Rei: Now, full force Artemis! (Artemis went straight for the final Bey, and knocked it out of the stadium.)
Rei: We did it! Now, could I have the password?! (Everyone picked up their Beys.)
Blader: It's supposed to be in this letter, but I haven't even opened it yet.
(Rei excitedly rushed back to The Great Reaper, Artemis and letter in hand, he arrived, with the Reaper waiting for him.)
Rei: Alright, now here's the password! (He opened the letter, only to be puzzled. It was a coupon for some toy robot called "Super Robo X".)
Rei: Um....Super Robo X? (The Great Reaper simply nodded and led Rei into a room. In it was a stadium. It was finally time to battle.)
Chapter 5 Preview
Rei: I'll be putting 100 on the line! I assume you'll do the same?
(The Reaper was confused. Is this guy and idiot? he thought.)
Reaper: Thanatos has no weak points. Your done!
Rei: Sorry, but that 100 belongs to me! Artemis, attack!
