Chapter 22: Van V.S Valt! Why Van Chose Darkness



{One week passed, and the dreaded day came, Van and Valt entered the BC Sol Stadium.
Keith and everyone sat in the booths, scared for the battle between Valt and Van.
Then the elevators came up, and both bladers walked to the stadium.}
Valt(Sad): “Van, we don’t have to do this.”
Van: “No, I need to beat you. Fallen Valkyrie will shatter you and Valkyrie”
Both bladers put their beys onto their launchers.
Referee: “This battle is a Burst Only Match, on request from Valt beforehand: Points will be only awarded by burst finished and the first to get 3 points wins.”
Both: “3! 2! 1! Go Shoot!”
{Both Valkyries hit the stadium floor, and began running around the outer ridge.}
Valt (Pumped-up): “Fine then Van! Let's go Valkyrie!”
Van: “Your Valkyrie is weak, Venture Shoot!”
{Fallen Valkyrie hits Holy Valkyrie, and the spring inside of it’s core compresses.}
Valt: “Now, Bound Sword!”
{Valkyrie rebounds Fallen Valkyrie away, and Fallen Valkyrie slammed into the wall.}
Van(Angry): “Valt, you’ve always been my enemy! And now I’ll be pleased by your fall!”
[Flashback]
Van(10 y/o): “Dad! When will sis be able to play?”
Valt: “Your sister still isn’t here, your mom hasn’t had her yet.”
Van (sad): “Aww, okay.”
Sasha, stood in the kitchen cooking dinner, and Van ran in. Sasha, was currently pregnant with their daughter.
A few months passed, and Van’s sister, Tsugumi, was born, and quickly became the center of attention, making Van jealous.
To change that, Van entered the newest tournament with his DB Bey, Ultimate Valkyrie1.
And the final blader to fight was, Phenomeno Payne, and his bey, Prominence Phoenix.
Van: “Go Shoot!”
Both beys landed on the stadium. Phoenix went for the center while Valkyrie charged up it's attack.
Van: "Let's end it quickly! Rush Shoot!"
Payne: "Like I'd let you"
Valkyrie hit Phoenix and the spring on the core compressed, giving a hit poweful enough to take out the armor, making it rebound on the wall. Phoenix was sent a little back and got positioned between Valkyrie and the armor.
Payne: "Time to burn in Crimson Flames! Prominence Crusher!"
Valkyrie was crushed between Phoenix and it’s armor, compressing it's spring too much and bursting.
Payne: “Ha, Van! That was absolutely pathetic! I wonder how you even got here to begin with.”
Van returned home, defeated and mad. He then began to battle more and more bladers, crushing their beys while being blinded by his own rage until Payne came back one day.
Payne: “Woah Van, you’ve become stronger! Maybe even better than me?”
Van’s dead eyes, stared into Payne.
Payne: "That was only a joke, you’re not stronger than me"
Van(Monotone): “Payne. I will break the blading world as we know it, join me, Phenomeno.”
Payne: "Huh? I have no reasons to do so. But I'll think about it if you win against me in a battle"
Both head to a stadium and get ready to shoot.
Both beys land on the stadium, Phoenix heads to the middle but is instantly repelled by Valkyrie's attacks.
Payne: "You really got stronger, Phoenix! Prominence Counter!"
Phoenix leans on its driver and changes direction, going head to head with Valkyrie. The armor is knocked off but Valkyrie is unfazed.
Van: "End this Valkyrie, Ultimate Bound!"
Valkyrie spring compresses and sends Phoenix to a wall, Valkyrie rams at it again, sending it out of the stadium.
Van grabs Valkyrie and walks away.
One day, after Valt announced the Mythical System, Van created Fallen Valkyrie to mimic Holy Valkyrie, but would also meant to surpass it in every way.
.
War(Guilty): “Hey Keith, I want to help you beat Van.”
Keith (shocked): “Wait, what!”
War: "I just feel I need to make up for what I did"
Keith (awkwardly): "Suuure, any help is appreciated!"
{Fallen Valkyrie hit the floor again, and shot towards Holy Valkyrie, barraging it.}
Van: “I’ll crush the Blading World, and manually make it better! Fallen Valkyrie, Dark Sync!”
A dark aura surrounded Fallen Valkyrie, and Valt began to worry a bit.
Valt: “Valkyrie, we need to win this thing. Holy Sync!”
Valt entered Sync with Holy Valkyrie, and it hit Fallen Valkyrie launching it out of the stadium.
Referee: “Over Finish, no points awarded!”
Van grabbed Fallen Valkyrie, and put it back on his launcher, and Valt did the same.
Van(Mind): “I’ll end this, and shatter Holy Valkyrie!"
Valt(Mind): “I don’t like doing this, but as I did it once for Aiga, I’ll do it again for Van."

God next chapter will be the beginning of Arc 3.

I don't read your Fanfic often but after I read this Chapter I've just gotta say this is really good and keep up the Amazing Work. Van's Backstory is very well written and it is not just because Payne said that "Your Battle Style is Boring" Also why are Van and Valt battling if Valt is like around 35-40? Lol. Sorry if this is a Bad Question, I just don't really read this Fanfic that often. Anyways, keep up the Great Work. I'm excited to see what you come up with in the Future.

Quick Unseen Tip: Try making your Chapters a bit longer. You shouldn't feel like you should have a Time Limit when making these Chapters. I made the Mistake a while back and Trust Me. Your Stress Levels will go up High lol. But seriously, just try making your Chapters a bit longer, I feel like they could have more Detail and a Longer Leangth.

Thanks, I had help from @Hollowmind8 though, he really helped with the backstory. I think for Arc 3-5/6(idk how long I'm going for yet), I plan to have the chapters be longer, and currently I already have like 4-5 pages for the actual finale of this battle and I want to make that chapter pretty long. For the Valt question, it's cause I want to keep the characters in the story yet, and I feel after Mystical, all the legends would retire, and the new legends being Keith, Baki, Irene etc. 

Also you did add a characters, you added Percy(Perseus) Nakano, if you'd like to read his chapter it should be like one page back, it's Chapter 21 I believe. I think I answered everything now, if you have any other questions feel free to ask me or PM them.

So, I have 23 done, and I'm working even quicker then ever, which is why I believe I can post more Chapters quicker, but I'm only human so if I can't get them out quick I'll still try my best to get them moving. But that's not the only thing I wanted to say, I also wanted to say Thank You to everyone who's been here, and read Mystical, and to everyone who added OCs because now the story has some color and flavor thanks to them.

Mystical is more popular then I could ever imagine. Thanks to this, I have been able to work on Mystical more and more. And I hope one day, we could even get a Opening, Ending and hell, if Takara Tomy wanted this to be a season and actual products, that would be sick. Mystical is currently, my favorite thing to work on and I love seeing how everyone reacts to new chapters, and I even got to make friends thanks to this fanfic.

Chapter 23: Champion’s Duty! Final Blow!



Both: “3! 2! 1! Go Shoot!”
{Valkyrie and Fallen Valkyrie hit the stadium floor, and began to rush around the outer ridge.}
Van: “Valt, ever since Tsugumi was born you completely forgot about me. I will show you, I am the best!”
{Fallen Valkyrie darted from the side, and hit Holy Valkyrie into the wall.}
Valt(Shocked): “Van, I never meant for that to happen nor did I forgot you! I’m sorry, son!”
Van(Enraged): “No, your not sorry! I hate you!!”
{Fallen Valkyrie then began slamming into every wall, showing how Van and Fallen Valkyrie were out of control.}
Valt: “Holy Valkyrie, we’ll break Fallen Valkyrie, and end Van’s pain!”
Van(Enraged): “You will never break our bond! Corrupt Sync!”
{Pain ran through Van’s body, and he screamed out in pain, coughing some droplets of blood, and his pupils began to flare up.}
Valt(Concerned): “Van! This will destroy your body, or at the worst could kill you!”
Van(Corrupt): “That won’t happen! Fallen Valkyrie is perfect! I’ll shatter Holy Valkyrie and your blading spirit!”
Keith jumped from his seat and yelled.
Keith: “Valt! You need to stop Van!”
Keith was concerned, and War stood there and called out.
War: “Valt! Van’s corrupt and he wouldn’t stop, if you don’t stop him, he’ll destroy the blading world as we know it!”
Payne was slumped on the wall, watching the battle.
Payne smiled and said.
Payne: “You’ve grown strong, Van. I’ll join your little team.”
Gemma, Kai and a masked man walked up to Payne.
Gemma: “Are you Van’s last recruit?”
Payne(Happy): “Of course I am. Van’s power is amazing.”
{Fallen Valkyrie hit Holy Valkyrie, compressing the spring and launching Fallen Valkyrie into the wall, the wall cracked, under the sheer force of Fallen Valkyrie’s corrupt sync.}
Van’s hands tightened, and his veins began to show, and he screamed out.
Van(Enraged): “I’ll kill Holy Valkyrie! I hate you, Sasha and Tsugumi, I’ll make sure you all pay!”
Valt(Powered up): “I’ll take you down, Van! Holy Sword!!!”
{Holy Valkyrie hit Fallen Valkyrie and clicked it once, while hitting it back a bit. Once Fallen Valkyrie hit the floor, it landed on Venture’s Rubber and the V Gear’s Metal together, shooting toward Holy Valkyrie barraging it.}
{Then due to the sheer force of the attacks, wind was kicking and making the battle impossible to see.}
Valt(Mind): “Van, I’m truly sorry. I know I haven’t been paying much attention to you, it is due to having a small child, but I want to change that. You, Sasha and Tsugumi are my world. Please, forgive me.”
Van(Mind): “Valt, all you’ve ever done was help Shu and give Tsugumi all your love and attention! Tsugumi is the worst! Why did you and Mom have another kid?”
Valt: "Did you forget that you were the one most excited for her? You out off all of us wanted to have a younger sibling."
{Fallen Valkyrie’s wings cracked, and under Van’s eyes, cracks formed.}
Van: “Finally, me and Fallen Valkyrie have achieved the highest high!”
{Pain surged through Van’s body again, and his eyes began to turn black, and he began to scream. His voice piercing everything.}
Payne: "Is he always that intense?"
Gemma: "That’s Van for you"
{Fallen Valkyrie hit Holy Valkyrie and began shooting around the outer ridge, not allowing Holy Valkyrie to escape.}
Van(Corrupt): “Hahaha! This is my final move to break Holy Valkyrie, Fallen Shatter!”
{As Valt, Shu and Aiga sat there and Shu brought up something.}
Shu(Concerned): “That’s just like Hearts and his Dead Gravity, he plans to shatter Valkyrie right there and then!”
Aiga: "Wasn’t that obvious?! He said multiple times that he would shatter Valkyrie!"
Van(Enraged): “This is it! Valt, this is the end for you!”
{When Fallen Valkyrie hit Holy Valkyrie, the Holy Blade awakened, the shape now even more aggressive, Holy Valkyrie hit Fallen Valkyrie in return, and hit it away again.}
{Then pain rushed through Van’s body again, blood began running through his nose, Valt began to look even more scared.}
Valt(Scared): “Van! Stop it now, at this rate, you’ll never hold a Launcher again!”
Van(Basically Crazy): “Screw that! After I break Holy Valkyrie, I can just wait and I'll will be better in one day!”
Valt: “Rah! Valkyrie, push through! Holy Reboot!”
{The Ultimate Reboot Driver’s tip retracted, and the rubber hit the floor, and Valkyrie rushed towards Fallen Valkyrie.}
Van(Insane): “Destroy, Destroy! DESTROY! FALLEN SWORD!!!”
Valt: “Saving you is my only goal! Holy Sword!”
{Both Valkyries collided, Fallen Valkyrie clicked again, while Holy Valkyrie only clicked once, then Holy Valkyrie shot Fallen Valkyrie into the air.}
{And it burst!}
Van(Defeated): “NO! Fallen Valkyrie, we never lose!”
{Then the cracks from Fallen Valkyrie’s blades began to spread until the met in the middle at the Fallen Valkyrie Core. And Fallen Valkyrie shattered into three pieces, Van stood there, this was the first time, Van had lost with Fallen Valkyrie against someone who he needed to beat.}
Each piece hit the ground, and Van stood there, Valt exhaled finally.
Valt: “I’ve saved you, Van.”
Van looked at Valt, tears in his eyes, and yelled.
Van(Angry): “I hate you! I do one thing, to try and get you guys to like me again, and you shatter my dreams! I hate you! I hate you!”
Van ran off, and Valt fell to his knees.
Valt(confused): "Huh, last time it worked"
Keith(Defeated): “Valt, you tried your best and Van still didn’t change.”
War: "At least he tried, and I'm sure it helped Van, even if just a little bit"

[Van's mansion]

{Van’s mansion sat still, as Van sat in the Creation Room, he looked at Fallen Valkyrie’s broken parts.}
Van: “Fallen Valkyrie, I’ll revive you, into a system I’ll create. The Mythological System.”
{He began typing, and came up with Calamity Valkyrie, with it’s Power Core Driver: Rush, which had a Plastic Tip that would retract to a star shaped soft rubber surrounding. It’s armor, Invert, put all the weight to the swords.}
He began to 3D Print it, and Van said to himself.
Van: “We'll destroy Valkyrie, but first, let's end Kratos. After all I need a warm up.”

[At Valhalla’s headquarters]
{Keith was practicing, and he didn’t know what Van was planning.
The Masked Man walked to Valhalla’s headquarters, and opened the door walked into the blading room, he was wearing a tall jacket, the mask had only one hole, for the left eye.}
Masked Man: “Hello Keith. I am Van’s teammate and I’ve come to inform you of Van’s request. He wants you to battle him at the Park, in about 3 hours. If you don’t show up you're an official coward"
The Masked Man turned and went to leave when Keith called out.
Keith: “Just who are you!? And how did you get in?”
Masked Man: “My name is Obito Zen’in, and the door was open”
Keith: “(I should really start to lock doors) Obito, why he wants to battle me? And how? He doesn't have a bey.”
Obito: “Oh, He’s made a new one. Not sure why he wants to battle you though, something to do with warming up?”
Obito left and he donned his mask again, and left Valhalla’s headquarters.
Irene: "Who was that?"
Keith: "A friend of Van, and I think Van wants to battle me now"
{3 hours later, Keith and Irene went to the BeyPark and saw Van standing there.}
Keith(awkwardly): “Hi there, so... What do you want, Van?”
Van(Serious): “It’s time for a New Era, with Calamity Valkyrie! It is the best Attack Beyblade, and it will change the blading world.”
Irene: "Oh, that's a nice bey! The color squeme is really matching too!"
Van: "I know that, I inspired the design on-... Ahem, Keith, let's battle"
Keith put Kratos onto his launcher.
Keith(Serious): “Why didn't you said that earlier? But one condition, burst only”
Van(grins): “Fine by me.”
Both: “3! 2! 1! Go Shoot!”


Preview! Chapter 24
{Kratos and Valkyrie hit the stadium floor, and Kratos took center in defense mode, Keith was still thinking about this match, when Valkyrie slammed into it, clicking it twice.}
Keith: “How?”
Van(Serious): “Calamity Valkyrie, is designed after Holy Valkyrie and Dangerous Belial. The blade has all the elements needed for a good Attack Type in it. Rubber, Metal, and aggressive attack points, prepare to lose, Keith!”
Next Chapter-Keith and Van battle it out, Calamity Valkyrie unleashes it's power. Will Keith be fine?

Chapter 24: Calamity Valkyrie! Kratos and Valkyrie's Rematch!

That Chapter sure is one huh? Arc 3 officially begins with Van's Creation of Calamity Valkyrie, what do you think the outcome of the battle will be?
Keith and Kratos or Van and Valkyrie? Arc 3 will be the longest arc, as it has three major plot points.

Alright 24! This is where the story takes a big turn.

Chapter 24: Calamity Valkyrie! Destruction Kratos!


{Kratos and Valkyrie hit the stadium floor, and Kratos took center in defense mode, Keith was still thinking about this match, when Valkyrie slammed into it, clicking it twice.}
Keith: “Wait wha-, How!?”
Van(Serious): “Calamity Valkyrie is designed after Holy Valkyrie and Dangerous Belial. The blade has all the elements needed for a good Attack Type in it: Rubber, Metal, and aggressive attack points, prepare to lose, Keith!”
{Calamity Valkyrie began barraging Kratos, and the Bound Blades weren’t doing anything, to stop Valkyrie.}
Keith(Nervous): “Now or never! Kratos, God-like Sync!”
{Keith and Kratos entered their Sync, but that still did near-nothing to stop Valkyrie.}
Van: “I expected more, Calamity Valkyrie! Let’s crush them! Dark Sync!”
{Van and Calamity Valkyrie entered Dark Sync, and blood could be spotted, spreading on the bandages on Van’s arms.}
Keith(Sync): “Van, let’s quit. Your arms can’t take this!”
Van(Sync): “Just shut up! I can take care of myself.”
{Calamity Valkyrie went to the outer ridge, and it’s speed had decreased enough.}
Van(Sync): “Now! Calamity Rush!”
{The Rush Driver retracted, and the soft rubber star hit the floor, and shot towards Kratos.}
Van(Sync): “Now, Valkyrie! Calamity Sword!”
{Calamity Valkyrie hit Kratos and launched it into the far wall, then Valkyrie shot towards Kratos pinning it between the wall and Calamity Valkyrie}
Keith: “Kratos! Come on!”
Kratos: “Keith, do something!!”
Obito: "I feel like I've already read this chapter..."
Van: "This will hurt juuuuust a little"
{Valkyrie applied more pressure, making Kratos shatter slowly and burst into 3 huge chunks as it’s parts flew into the air.}
Keith: “Kratos!!”
{Then one of the shattered pieces of Kratos came back and cut Keith’s right eye, Keith held his eye, while screaming in pain.}
Obito: "That was epic, not gonna lie"
Irene(Shocked): “What just happened.”
Van picked up the remaining parts of Kratos, and crushed them with his palm.
Van: “What happened? Your boyfriend got destroyed. Now Keith, me and Valkyrie achieved what we wanted, although it was way easier than what I thought it would, for that we are greatly dissapointed with you.”
Van walked away, Obito followed him, and Keith sat on the ground, crying while holding the remains of Kratos.
Van (in a fair distance): "At least you served your purpose, and now I'm ready to take on anyone and anything! Why don't you just quit by the way? It would be good for both me and you."
Irene took Keith home, and he had put an eyepatch over his eyes to soak up the blood.
Baki, Irene, War and Samson went to Keith’s room, and the only thing inside, was his jacket, and Launcher.
Irene(Worried): “Where did he go, that’s already the 3th time and I don't like it.”
Baki(Concerned): “Don’t worry, Irene. We’ll find Keith. Maybe he escaped through the window?”
War: "Knowing him, he’s at the blading room"
As they went downstairs, Keith sat in the Blading Room, and looked at the three shattered pieces of Kratos.
Keith: "Kratos, I guess we didn't win huh?"
{Keith gets pulled into the white void. Kratos was standing there in the middle, looking hurt}
Kratos: "You can't... win it all"
Keith: "I think you should rest for a while friend"
Kratos: "I'm not... giving up... yet"
Keith: "But I am, and between you and me, you're not in a good shape."
Kratos (giggling a little): "You're right, but you're also quite bad in shape"
Keith (smiling a little): "We both are broken, but in different ways"
Kratos: "Well then... When you fix yourself, fix me too. I'llbe waiting for you"
Keith: "Goodbye Kratos"
{The glow from Kratos faded away, leaving Keith back on the Blading room alone}
{Irene entered the room, and hugged Keith from the back.}
Irene: “Keith! You had me so worried!”
She looked into her boyfriend’s eyes, they were dead, no emotion whatsoever.
Keith: “I’m sorry Irene.”
Irene hugged Keith tighter, telling herself.
Irene(Mind): “I’ll always keep an eye out for you, Keith! As your girlfriend, I’ll always be here!”
Keith got up, and Irene followed, he walked over to the drawer and put Kratos in it.
Irene: “Keith? Why you're putting Kratos there?”
Keith(Emotionless): “Why should I keep something, I no longer need.”
Irene: “Huh?”
Keith: "It is broken Irene, I can't use it anymore"
Keith walked into Valhalla’s Main Room, where all his friends were blading.
Percy, Samson, War and Neusa were battling, and Baki saw Keith enter.
Baki: “Keith! Are you good?”
Keith: “I have an announcement.”
Irene started to tear up, and no one could tell why.
Keith: “I’m quitting Beyblade, Baki is the new captain of Valhalla.”
Baki: “Keith! Think about what your saying! This is your dream, you can’t throw it away!”
Percy: "What he said is true, abandoning partners never lead to anything good from my experience"
Keith: “Well, Kratos was shattered and I... Think it needs a rest.”
Keith turned away and walked up to his room, Irene ran after him, to try her best to comfort him.
Baki stood there, everyone looked at him, and everyone began to ask questions.
Samson: “Baki, what are we going to do?”
Lucy: “Is Keith alright?”
Samson: "What happened?"
Percy: "Can I have a coke from the fridge?"
Yuito stood there, shocked at what Keith had said.
War walked forward and said.
War: “It may be indecent of me to say but Baki, we should take Van down, for Keith.”
Baki turned around, determination in his eyes.
Baki: “Yeah, not only that. But Valhalla will destroy him and his friends, anyone have any problems with that.”
Finn, Shane and Barry walked forward.
Finn: “Finally something that me and War both agree! Let's show them what happens when you mess with one of us!”
Shane: “For Keith! Van deserves nothing less than what Keith got!”
Barry grabbed his Launcher and Bellerophon.
Barry: “It’s time to show them what it means to be part of Valhalla!”

{Keith was on his bed, Irene sitting with him, and even through she was holding his hand, it felt so cold, like Keith was only a hollow shell now.
Irene’s head fell onto Keith’s shoulder, she wanted to show Keith her love, to make him feel better.}
Keith(Mind): “Now that Kratos is broken, I need to focus on my relationship with Irene, she’s my girlfriend.”
Keith put his arm around Irene’s shoulder and pulled her closer, she blushed, and as those two got all romantic, Baki had taken the top 4 bladers with him to beat Van.
Baki: “Ok Let's see: Barry, War, Finn and Neusa. That sounds like a good team"
Barry: “Let’s take them all down, easy victory for Valhalla!”
War: “He used to be my friend, but now we’re enemies, and this is his choice!”
Finn: “I won’t let Van break other people’s beys.”
Neusa: “More battling is always the best!”
Percy (frustated): "Why can't I go too?"
Baki: "I told you already, you have a big rep., this means you're a big red flag everywhere you go"
Percy (still frustated): "ok..."
Baki entered Van’s mansion, and Van’s team stood there.
Baki: “Van, we have a offer for you.”
Van turned around, his cape flew over his shoulder, the light from the windows shined onto his face, a bit.
Baki: “Valhalla versus Your team in a week’s time.”
Van: “Sounds good, we’ll battle. And my team’s name is Requiem.”
Baki remembered when his cousin, Boa, told him about the Requiem Project, and how Shu was corrupt by the project.
War: “Is there any reason you call yourselves that?”
Van: “Cause when we win, you’ll hear our Requiem, traitor.”
Baki, and Valhalla left, and Van stood there, getting ready to practice with his team.
Van: “Alright, then let’s practice.”
Payne: “Haha! I like the sound of beating some newbie bladers.”
Gemma: “This will be our most important fight, Van.”
Kai: “Shut up nerd! Get your bey out!”
Obito: “I’m assuming I’m in this no matter what, prepare for Orion’s true power I guess.”
Everyone: “3! 2! 1! Go Shoot!”
{Baki walked into Valhalla’s Headquarters, and saw Keith, back to normal, in the kitchen helping Irene out, while she was making lunch and getting flustered, as Keith was teasing her.}
Baki turned and entered the blading room.
Baki: “Alright! Today, we’ll hold a tournament, to find our strongest bladers, four of you will accompany me in our battle against Requiem!”
Everyone went to stadiums, and launched their beys.
Neusa (confused): "Haven't we decided the team already?"
Baki: "Double checking"
The battles went on till nightfall, and at which everyone went to sleep, but in the 3D Print room, four people sat there.
???: “Kratos, we’ll revive you!”
The pieces of Kratos glew. Keith was asleep with Irene in his bedroom, they were watching a movie.
