FACE CONTEST: Design a Metal Fight Beyblade!

It's that time again! Time for a FACE CONTEST! For those of you without any Faces, here's your chance to win one! However, someone is guaranteed to win this time!

I want you to design your own Metal Fight Beyblade! Sounds exciting, right? The winners will get their choice of:
How mysterious! I wonder what could be inside of them?

And yes, that's right, winners. Not one, but two people will win Face Boosters! How cool!

So, here are some of the criteria your entry will be graded on:
  • Artistry: Obviously, someone who hand draws their Beyblade for several hours is going to be taken more seriously than someone who quickly puts something together in MS Paint. That being said, we understand that not everyone has the same artistic ability. Effort is what's important!
  • Originality: Try to think outside of the box and use ideas that haven't been used in Beyblade yet!
  • Balance: If you think making a Beyblade with a perfectly circular Wheel that weighs 50 grams with a sextuplet bearing Track and polished metal sharp Bottom is going to win you this, think again. While we don't want to see junk Beyblades, we also don't want them overpowered. Think as if it was to be real; you don't want to break the game!

And now for the rules:
  • Limit one entry per person! Your first entry will be the only one that's considered, so work hard on it!
  • The WBO Committee isn't eligible. Sorry guys! I wanted one of those boosters too. Unhappy
  • You have until April 1 to do it. Any entries after that must be posted before then!
  • Post your entries in this thread! (You can also talk about the contest, ideas, or whatever in this thread as well!)

I think that's it ... OK, GO!
time to bust out the old protractor and compass and give this a try.
Will, be starting this tonight. Yay! for another contest.
Awwwww i dont have a scanner Unhappy .

EDIT: Why cant staff participate? They have the same chances as us and it just doesnt seem fair.

Take a photo(s) of your drawing!
Interesting.... I might give this a try Smile
So just to clarify, we will have to design a face, wheel, track and bottom. Basically any design we want with no game-breaking parts.

But at what angle should it be drawn (top, side, 3/4, etc.)? And would you want a drawing of each part individually as well as the whole blade? Also do we need to include the name of the blade and have it coloured?

Last question lol; Can it be a design of a HWS blade Grin

You can draw whatever angle you like and however you like. Obviously, the more comprehensive it is, the better your chances are!

And yes, it can be HWS.
Haha.
This is awesome, I have some rough sketches for an MFB blade already out on my desk, since I was doodling yesterday.
Cool. Lemme get my creative juices flowing. XD

Probably should have read the rules before asking this. :\

April 1st
2 questions
1: can it be an upgrade of a blade? ex pegasus becomes storm pegasus
2: can it be any mfb system of just the original?

ORIGINALITY.

And it can be any MFB system.
Is there like a weight limit, height limit, etc. or any other restrictions?

It would be pretty cool if Nic could compete, he has an affinity to this sort of thing. Would love to see what he would come up with.

Here's my design...

Would color it but I'm afraid I'd ruin it (and I don't have anything to color it with), so I just wrote down the colors. I'm very happy with it. =)
*Note: The wheel officially has a thin layer of hard plastic around the edges. Rubber is a bit annoying and would come off easier.
There is still time before the contest ends I would suggest doing it with some basic geometry tools. It would give it a cleaner and more professional appearance. I like it otherwise!
Don't have any, otherwise I would. Thanks, though. =)
I thought I might as well do it now, as I don't have anything else to do and, for me, taking longer would actually make it look worse. This is the best I've ever drawn a beyblade. =/
