Quattro features an adjustable tip at an above average height with four settings, Attack, Defense, Stamina and Balance. It also sits at a taller height than usual. It is similar to Zeta and Delta Drive from the Metal Saga.
The Attack setting is a rubber flat tip resembling Xtreme. Due to the rubber and flat nature of this setting, Quattro becomes very aggressive and capable of performing a banking pattern. However because it is made of rubber it loses Stamina very quickly and is prone to wearing meaning that it may need to be replaced after heavy usage.
The Defense setting is a free spinning metal ball resembling a smaller Orbit Metal. This setting has excellent stamina due to the reduced friction from the metal and the free spinning ability. It also has an outer ridge that will help to keep the Combination upright once it begins to fall over.
The Stamina setting is a metal sharp driver resembling a wider version of Survive. This setting has excellent stamina due to the metal and pointed tip reducing friction against the Stadium. Due to being on a pointed tip the Combination is prone to being destabilized, however it is slightly helped by the outer skirt but this will result in a large loss of Stamina.
The Balance setting is a plastic sharp coated in rubber resembling Unite or Coated Sharp from the Metal Saga. When launched flat, Quattro will behave aggressively due to the rubber section gripping the stadium. When launched parallel to the stadium it will act defensively by having the pointed tip stay in the center and the rubber acting as brakes to prevent Knock-Outs.
Quattro suffers from two major weaknesses, the first being that it has a noticeably weaker spring compared to other drivers, however this weakness can be mitigated by using cores with burst stoppers such as Belial 2 or Bahamut. The second weakness being that the weight from the metal tips can cause the Combination to become unbalanced resulting in a loss of Stamina.
Overall
Despite being capable of using multiple modes, those modes are mediocre compared to their counterparts and other more powerful Drivers. However in a situation where you are unsure of what your opponent will be using, Quattro can be used to counter-pick their Combination.
As such Quattro is not a must have, but is instead a welcome addition to a blader’s collection.
