Discuss your yu-gi-oh decks here.

I honestly think that Blackwings are the best deck to use right now.

They have the most advantageous match ups (X-Sabers, Gladiator Beasts and Debris-Plants matches lean heavily in Blackwings' favor), they have an incredible amount of draw/cycle power in the form of Pot of Duality, Cards for Black Feathers and Allure of Darkness, and they are also the most versatile deck as far as the side deck goes.

There are very few cards that your opponents can side against you that will "wreck" your deck, unlike the other current tier decks, and because Blackwings are so versatile, you can side in almost any card you want. Skill Drain, Deck Devastation Virus, etc. both of which are amazing against a lot of current tier one decks.
Does anyone else use "eye of truth" with "bad reaction to simochi"

Eye of truth-opponent gains 1000 lp every turn (continuous trap)
Bad reaction to simochi-every time your opponent gains lifepoints,
They are subtracted every turn (continuous trap)

(This is not exactly what they say)
Thanks for your thoughts, Roan and Daegor42. I do have one more question in regard to Deck Types. Based on your Deck Doctor edition on the Counter Agent cards, would you say that the exact build you have done on your blog is "dangerous" to Blackwings?

I'm thinking of building BW's first because of their availability and support in the G. Series 3 Sets, and their competitive aspect. Machina Gadgets seem to be easy to build as well as most of the necessary cards come in Machine Re-Volt and Machina Mayhem, and Counter Agents have tons of new support in the upcoming SD20.
Just note that the Counter Agent deck won't be released for a while. SD19 is coming out in March.
I'm well aware of that. When the support does arrive to the TCG, I'm wondering if it is dangerous BW's.

Well, they definitely have lots of outs to traditional BW strategys, but it goes the other way too. I Honestly think they're pretty evenly matched.
Hah, nice one. I see your point though. Once I've finished building a solid BW Deck, I'll start a Counter Agents Deck once the support has been introduced.

In regard to Machina Gadgets, they killed a lot of the competition at my locals, placing in fourth, which is why I was thinking of building a Deck around them, but Geartown is quite hard to find.
Don't play Geartown in Machina Gadgets. It's bad.
How so? It sounds like some good extra support for the Gear portion of the Deck.
It's only good if you also add in Ancient Gear Gadjiltron Dragon, and even then it's still not as good as straight Machina Gadgets because it adds inconsistency to your draws.
hey there im building an Atem deck so can anyone let me know what cards to get for it? ive been building it for awhile, please help me ty Grin

Ah ok I get it now. I'm just started getting competitive this year so a lot of these things are new to me. But what do you mean an "Atem" deck?

The pharohs deck from the final ep of yugioh, when he duel little yugi, im trying to recreate it but i keep looking it up but i get soooo many variations >:0
Well since Atem's deck contained the God cards it won't be able to play in a tournament. And its usually very hard to build a cookie cutter deck of a character from a show since it never exactly says what cards specifically are in the Deck.

well see i have two of the remade god cards which can be used, and well ik about tht, but still cards that have been noted are basically cards yugi had prior to dawn of the duel, like magnet warriors etc, basically i need yugis cards from battle city tournament final
Ah well since there's so many ways to interpret what cards MIGHT have been in his deck, I think it would be best to go back, watch the episodes, and then interpret your own version of the deck. Like I said, character cookie cutter decks can be a pain to make.

i have lol but i just needed to know if anyone has a complete one and give me pointers on it
That brings me up to another bad point about the anime. They have no regard for the rules and when all seems tough they pull out just the right card they need to beat their opponent Tired

This isn't the right thread for this kind of discussion.
Yeah I know, it was just a comment on charchter decks :"(

Bringing back up Daegor42s topic, is there a general thread for ygo?

Are you kidding me?

It's just a bit further down the page here in the Media forum. He even posted a link to it in this very thread.
Whoah, carp sorry for my insolence, perhaps I should use the search function more often.
ShadowVampj: Don't keep Ra in your Deck unless you can boost your LP's very high. I only won 1/4 matches with it in my GK's Deck. Heck, don't even use it. Obelisk is the better option, if you want to run a God card.
Honestly, I only went along giving you all advice on God Cards because I knew you were intent on running them, but the brutal truth is that neither Ra nor Obelisk are worth playing in a tournament level deck.

Sure, you could argue that Obelisk is viable in a Frog Monarch deck, but with Substitoad banned, the success rate of even summoning Obelisk has dropped, as most Frog Monarch builds only play one Ronintoadin now, which was the primary way of summoning Obelisk.

They both have great effects, but they're too difficult to summon and by no means guarantee you the game. There are better and much less costly boss monsters.

actually i can i use combos with emergency provision, and cards that if destroyed destroy monsters or summon tokens, so i get about a 5000 lp and add tht to ras, buti hardly use ra i use obelisk, ra is only used for the whole 1000points to destroy a monster, but obelisk is what i summon, and since i use yami's deck using knights help alot faster.
