Hey bladers im heading to my first tournament on Saturday and these are the combos im thinking of taking. 

Silver Wolf 3-60 Hexa
Rock Golem 7-60 Rush
Whale Wave 9-60 Gear Point 

How do you guys think these could do? I’ve been considering running stamina wolf too, either 3-60 ball/ free ball or 1-60 ball/ free ball

From what I've observed in the competitive scene, Silver Wolf on Hexa's the best combination currently in your deck (just to clarify, it's not *the* best combination in the meta). Unless its against a really short Shark Scale, Wolf on Hexa is exceptional at shutting down powerful Attack-Types.

Rock Golem as an Attack-Type performs pretty well, last I recall. It's akin to how Knight Mail on Rush (for example) turned out to be a strong aggressive combination at the time.

Whale Wave on Gear Point is... interesting. I can't help but think it may be the weaker link in your deck, but I rarely see any Whale Waves that use Bits other than the most common ones ideal for Attack combinations. So who knows, maybe it'll do well in that tournament.

Thanks for the input! I definitely feel the same about whale but it’s my favorite bey so I definitely want to run it. I wanted to go for something with a little more stamina than the typical attack type bits but still be able to hit hard I also considered point as well. I also just got my Wizard Rod in the mail today so he could potentially replace wolf but would rod fill the position better on ball or hexa? I’ve seen a lot of people use both

I have dragoon on elevate too but I just don’t want to run the whole meta maybe one meta bey and some more unique stuff

If you're sticking with Hexa, using it with Wizard Rod is a great option as well. Hexa makes it more difficult for Attack-Types to defeat it than if you were to use Ball, albeit at the cost of having less comparable Stamina, in the event a Wizard Rod mirror match happens. But whether its Hexa or Ball, Wizard Rod's a safe option to have in your deck, if you're not confident in your Attack Type combos' success in a tournament. (same goes for Cobalt Dragoon on Elevate)

Gotcha I believe I will add rod but I want to use 9-60 on whale wave how do you feel about 5-60 hexa on rod? I’m also thinking 3-60 or 1-60 I just feel like 1-60 will lower stamina even more

I remember people preferring to use 5-70 for Wizard Rod on Hexa. And as for using 1-60, Wizard Rod on 1-60 and Hexa is one of the top combinations listed in the MetaBeys website (basically a database for winning combinations and their appearances in tournaments).

And I can tell you from my experience with using Wizard Rod myself that 1-60 pairs exceptionally well with it. 1-60's not only good for Balance Tuning a Blade (arranging a Beyblade so it doesn't wobble a lot when spinning) but can also let Wizard Rod escape the stadium pockets occasionally.

Fair warning, though. A Shark Scale combination can and will dominate Wizard Rod under the right circumstances. And it's a popular Blade in the metagame right now, so be on the lookout for that.

Thanks for asking! Sorry it took me a while to get back to you, I took Wizard Rod 1-60 Hexa definitely my staple through the tournament lol. Rock golem 7-60 Rush and Whale Wave 9-60 Gear Point. I went 4-2 in Swiss and made it to top 8 but lost my first match and ended up placing 8th. I was happy with how it went for my first event!
