So I have Dark Perseus and I really want to put slash as the assist blade on it or Hells Reaper's on it. Which would be the better choice?

I don't own any CX Beys, but from the few videos I've seen that feature Dark combinations, Slash tends to be the preferred Assist Blade of choice. As far as I understand, Slash's main benefit is being shorter than the average Assist Blade (same goes for Jaggy and maybe Assault, too?), which helps the Main Blade make proper contact with an opposing Blade, and it also slightly lowers a Beyblade's center of gravity for added stability.
Use Slash.

That, too. Pairing up a Main Blade with an Assist Blade that compliments its shape is something to take into account with CX combo-building.
I’d say Slash is definitely the smarter pick here. It not only keeps the combo balanced and stable but also helps Dark Perseus make cleaner contact during battles. Hells Reaper’s looks cool, but it tends to throw off the weight distribution a bit. If you’re after performance over aesthetics, Slash all the way.
