Sorry I dont know.I have wanted to do the same thing but dont know how
it matters on wat metal you use and its meltin point but first you create your prototype out of wood or lay or plastic then cover it with the mold putty i would use clay but it has to be a type of clay that dosnt burn [aka fibers taken out lol] and then went you have you rough prototype [metal] you have to polish it and sand it down to give it a fine coat

Just go to a hardware store and buy some strong metal e.g. steel and then you need to create some kind of moulding area. You might be able to find one at a hardware store but I doubt it. You must then find the melting point of steel and mould it into your desired shape.

SO what are some techiniques that can be done...to melt this metal down at home?
Actually steel melts at over 1200 degrees F.
Tin ,on the other hand, melts at 450 degrees, making it a good metal to melt at a house.
