Lane is not looking to “spread his dark powers” onto another blader. He is just there to absorb hyperions flare for future plots. Hyuga did not have much of a plot armor except building up his flare, which got lanes attention. Hikaru still remains irrelevant unless they decide for him to jump in at any moment to save his brother or something.
