Competitive Ways To Counter 230...

Alright with the (not so) recent menace of 230, it has ended the life span of a lot of previous top tier beys such as Vulcan and Ray. So far the only effective way of countering is by using LLDrago at CH120, or by using other stamina/attack types at a 145 height. So far, there is only one 145 height based top tier attack and that is Pegasus 145RF. It seems that more attack type beys should be tested at a 145 height, which brings me to my point. Gravity Perseus is exceptional with R145 and other wheels should be tested to see if they have any potential at all at high track heights as the use of low tracks will be useless in competition.

If you have any other ideas on countering 230, post them below. Keep in mind that it needs to be effective against 230 as well as the staple defense customs.
Less speculating, and more actual results maybe?
Rather interesting combo that I was playing around with the other day; MF Pegasis 230RF.

Wierd Libruhhh

What we really need is CH230 Tongue_out_wink

But so far, I have found that MLD works well at 145 height, perhaps a CH120 + MLD may be a viable choice aswell?

Also, MF-H Vulcan Bull and LL Drago 85CS can often OS a 230RS opponent.
Could somebody try my MF Meteo L drago 100CS or an 85/90 variant of it against 230 stamina and defence then? I only have one CS.

The problem I see with CH120 + MLD is at that height, it's horrid against anything that isn't 230, since MLD's attack comes from L drago II, not meteo.
The terrifying spot of 230 is it is so tall and round,so track must be in 145,
however a 145 track is easily being upper by low tracks.
So why don't we test 230 and low track combos with an another combo?
Hm, even I have had surprising results with a 145 replacing a 100 track on MF Vulcan Horuseus 100RF. I'm not too sure if others who possibly tried this got the same. Honestly I didn't expect it to go well, and when I used 145 track on some other Metal Wheels I found the customizations to act and react the same.
try MF Pegasis CH120RF?
Doesnt't work well. What about Bluezee's Killer M145WD destabiliser combo?
I think the "230 counter" is giving the misconception that it's okay for a bey to simply specialise in defeating a 230 combo.

I think a counter to 230 should also at least be decent against other beys?
This is a thread to list things which counter 230 combos so I don't really think that it's a requirement that it does well against other combos since it's made solely to beat 230 combos.
If you put it that way, then 230 is no threat at all.

But then, every combo that doesn't use 230 ends up as one.

Mm, this is probably my prejudice kicking in though, incredibly niche combos really don'tmake sense to me.
Really didn't get what you're saying there? I never said it wasn't a threat... Also ends up as what?
I mean, if you create a combo solely to defeat 230, all other combos, i.e, MF Earth Bull GB145RS end up being unbeatable.

If you create a combo that's so incredibly niche, it's gotten you nowhere in a competitive sense, since you never know what your opponent is using.

Well that's the thing see? Sicne 230 is weak at 145 heights, I think the main way to counter it and obtain good results against defense combo's is to create a good attack combo at the 145 height like pegasus and gravity as was mentioned in the OP.
I'm in complete agreement with you, but with things like Killer M145WD, or Meteo L drago at a 145 height, these combos appear to be leaning more towards niche combos solely for the purpose of beating 230.

Exactly, the point here is to adjust to this new height. That doesn't mean to forget about gb145/r145. Those two tracks are still there and if we take combos that just forget about them, then it will just turn out as the Same situation, just reversed; gb145,r15 would become more dominant. That cycle is unreliable in a tournament situation.

Yup this is the main problem as I see it as well... I'll change the title to Competitive ways to counter 230.
..
Dude anything at 145 height and in left spin will terminate 230.. LLD CH120, GP CH120. Simple..
What about unbanning the Libra Wheel? Libra CH120/CH145RF should seems to answer both sides of your discussion.
How does it do against 230?
But the thing is cye, if libra was unbanned due to 230, people wouldn't use it just to counter 230, they would combine it with 230, making 230 stronger of a force
Why not just make Libra CH120RF legal only instead of it defensively?
MF LL Drago CH120RF/MF Leone 145RF/Some other tall Attackers/145 Height Stamina Combos are pretty much the competitive ways to beat it.

Libra should be unbanned in all variants even with 230 out imo.
I don't see a big point in this thread unless we test some combos soon. c:
